My wife had the orange chicken and she couldn't finish it because it was too spicy hot.

Ordered a combo for delivery and was really disappointed. The pork didn't taste like pork at all -- it had a strange sweetness that was off-putting. The orange chicken was buried in so much batter that I could barely find any actual chicken. And the noodles were completely bland with no flavor whatsoever. I threw the entire combo away after having a bites. I searched through the orange chicken batter to see if there was any chicken. I didn't find any. Why is it called orange chicken if there's no chicken maybe you should change the name to orange batter. I get that this is a budget Chinese spot, but there are plenty of affordable places that still put out decent food. This wasn't one of them. I been coming here since I was 16 years old. I used to live in the area. I still come all the way from East Long Beach to indulge in this nostalgic cuisine. I haven't been here in years but today it popped in our heads and we came down to relive the tasty remembrance of our past. To our surprise they ditched the cash only and finally accept cards. (with a 50 cent charge) The food is exactly how I remember it. The chow mien is so good. They use thick noodles and they don't just load it up with cabbage. The flavor of the noodles is amazing. The orange chicken is good too. I noticed it's dark meat instead of white meat. But that iconic flavor was still there. They have the best orange chicken ever. It's the sauce. I love this chicken because they put lots of sauce on top. The BBQ Pork is a staple here. It's strips of pork with a little fat and crispy edges. To my surprise I thought it would be dry like it was in the past, but not today, it was very moist and delicious. I notice the keep a dome cover over it. This makes a HUGE difference keeping the pork moist. All my years coming here, I never tried anything else. The Chow mien, Orange chicken, and BBQ Pork is the only thing you should be eating. I couldn't believe it upon arriving to pick up my order, They started cooking it when I got there. One of the dishes was supposed to be Mongolian beef and it was fried onions with less than 20 pieces of sliced beef no larger than a quarter. The food was 45 minutes late getting out of the kitchen. The orange chicken is pretty good, it not as crunchy when I ste it because it took some time for me to get settled at home & open my to-go. It looked fairly fresh when I saw her scoop it into my container, even though it was about an hour before closing. The other chicken dish was also tasty, the celery & bell peppers were crunchy. The customer service at this place was the first thing I noticed upon coming in :) Very welcoming lady in the front. I asked for a party tray of chow mein and instead of serving me the chow mein that was out in front, the lady yelled my order to the kitchen to cook it fresh I wanted vegetable chow mein and I noticed the chow mein didn't have any vegetables so I asked if I could add some. She was able to add squash, broccoli and even suggested mushrooms after we had confirmed already :) so nice. And the serving size portion was HUGE for a small tray. I've been coming here for over 30 years - next to my high school growing up and still live nearby it. They used to be really good when I was a kid then they got a new owner I think 10+ years ago and their food quality went way down and they also sold sushi poké for a while. I'm not sure if the owner changed again or turned it around but I started going here again last year and they're just as good as they used to be ! Delicious chow mein best I've ever had and their orange chicken is so yummy. They even have mayo shrimp now which was good too. I go here at least once or twice a month. Jalapeno chicken was good, some pieces were kind of tough, other than that, tasted good, most of the pieces were nice and tender. The cashew shrimp was alright, not crispy, I could taste the iodine while I ate the shrimp, not my favorite. I also ordered a side of chicken wings and fried cream cheese wontons. The chicken wings had good flavor but a bit on the salty side for me, portion size was 4 pieces (2 drumsticks & 2 wings), nice and meaty. Gross. I got a two item combo broccoli beef and orange chicken, half fried rice and half chow mein, and an order of mongolian beef. Beef in both broccoli beef and mongolian beef was like almost like ground beef, but it kept its shape. Just not good, bad texture. Fried rice was also pretty bad... like soggy almost no flavor.
