    spicy chicken sandwich

I still love their chicken sandwich and think it's a good deal, but maybe I need to stick with the non spicy one because I had the worst tummyache in the morning. Also, I would say their best skewer is their lamb skewer and not the pork belly or the beef.

Spicy Lamb Noodle Soup, Lamb + Beef Skewers Great spot my parents found for legit Chinese Lamb and beef skewers!! I preferred the Lamb over the beef. The noodle soup was decent, nicely spicy, perfect portion. Lovely warm interior with Asian wood themes

Noodles are delicious and they are so nice and friendly! This is my so son's favorite restaurant!

    Dry pot fish

We have not dined here over a year and the restaurant is under new management. They serve healthy and authentic Xi-An dishes. We ordered BBQ lamb (special promotion of $10 /8 skewers), dry pot fish, beef Chinese pancakes . They use good meat and fishes. The portions are generous that we were full after eating half of the dishes. All the hand-pulled noodles and pancakes are made fresh daily in the restaurant. Their slush drinks are yummy and with freshly made ingredients. The waitress and owners are very friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I come here for the fried chicken sandwich. I know that may seem strange, to get a fried chicken sandwich at a Chinese skewer place, but they really do make it well, very good crispy batter around a juicy piece of dark meat. Other than that, you can order to your table via QR code which is really nice. Their skewers are very good as well - about as good as any other skewer place around. The sitr fried beef noodles were a little bland though. Overall great place to eat!

Fried chicken sandwich (or burger as they call it)

To put it short, Chinese street eats, and a good one at that too!! The BBQ here really refers to grilled meats, but as you can see, they put the meats on a skewer. One thing on how it works, they'll seat you, but you order using the QR code. They'll give you the check after you're done eating. I was a little confused at first cuz they didn't come to take my order. On the skewers, I recommend the lamb, beef (I prefer the small beef cuz it's easier to eat), and tofu skin. I would skip the chicken unless you're into that. The seasoning is the same for all, so really just what kind of meat you want. Moving on to more exotic options, apparently people also like to order the chicken cartilage. They didn't have it when I was there, but I'm not really into the whole texture-eating (some people love the crunch). I ordered chicken gizzard instead, which was good, but I guess I'm not into innards all that much lol They have some grilled veggies too. I think I ordered the A choy, which was really good! I already ordered too much food but the eggplant and chives were the other veggie options I considered. Other than the skewers, I heard about their fried chicken sandwich (yep, I guess we're still talking about that in 2023), so I got that too. I was actually pleasantly surprised!! I can't say if their chicken sandwich is the best as people have their own preferences, but the taste reminded me of fried chicken sandwich you get from KFC in Asia, which I LOVE! It's very crispy but also very juicy. Their sauce is also on point. I think it's definitely worth a try at least. They have even more stuff on their menu like noodles. I'll maybe try some of those next time. I really like the food I ordered; I actually over-ordered for sure but finished them all. Service is fast, and the place is fairly casual. They open quite late too, so if you're into one of those late night snacks, they got you covered.

Date night review. I usually chose hot pot, but my husband prefers BBQ and he found a new place to try. This is by far one of my favorites for Chinese BBQ in the Dallas area as far as food quality. The chicken and asparagus rolled in bacon were my favorites. My husband said the squid was his favorite. The service is the only reason I dropped a star. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. They met our basic needs but I would have liked to see more interaction and asking if we needed anything else. Due to the ordering on your phone, it takes away the opportunity for some personal interactions.

Very tasty and authentic barbecue. If you want to taste barbecue in China this is the place you should come for sure. The service is good too.

It's been a while since I've been here, but this most recent visit they had QR codes at the table so you could order en masse with everyone in your group. Which is pretty cool and more relaxed for the servers, just make sure you remember which skewers were yours. If you have specifics they aren't split up. The seasoning is very flavorful, but after a while a little repetitive, but still good.

All the food had amazing flavors so I would recommend everything. My only note was the beef in the noodles was slightly chewy so I would suggest another protein option. The service was great. Our server was patient with us while answering our questions on the menu and knowing the menu well enough to recommend us things that suited our palettes. The restaurant is spacious with many tables to accommodate different size parties so it did not take long for us to get seated.

If you live in the area, it's a quality spot to get your soup dumpling fix. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the first thing I noticed was Chef Sun's was very busy (great sign). The restaurant itself wasn't very memorable, and the table we sat at was next to a drink fridge and lots of traffic. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff at Chef Sun's was great, especially for a busy Chinese restaurant. The staff proactively kept our glasses full of water and were always on hand to help. Once we placed our order, food just kept coming from the staff as each dish was brought out piping hot and fresh. 1 Star. Food - The Xa Long Bao (soup dumplings) were nice and plump, freshly cooked and super-hot. This was the best part of the meal. The traditional Chinese dishes like their noodles were all a bit oily for my taste. Thee two appetizers - fried shrimp (very safe choice) were crispy without being greasy and the red dipping sauce was more sweet than spicy. And the spicy edamame was good. Overall plenty of good, but nothing super memorable. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area and I want soup dumplings. Chef Sun's Noodle & Dumpling has some oily noodles and great dumplings. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here, but now that I know they exist, I'll stop by next time I want soup dumplings. 1/2 Star.

Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas.

This place is absolutely made for a group outing, and we're already planning to come back with a group to take full advantage. The food was a delight. The Singapore noodles had this wonderful curry flavor that I absolutely loved, and the combo fried rice was just as satisfying. We also ordered the Peking duck (P1 on the menu). It was good, though not quite as flavorful on its own as we'd hoped. That said, once you load it up with the hoisin, cucumber, and spring onions, it all comes together beautifully. The bao buns that came with it were soft and delicious, honestly a highlight. We also sipped on hot jasmine tea throughout, which was the perfect, refreshing complement to the whole meal.
