My husband said this place has been around for years, so we tried it. Lacked in flavor in the chicken fried rice, orange chicken was way too sweet and my husband liked his combination fried rice. They took our order right away, so that was nice but took forever to get. Place seemed like it could use an upgrade but at the same time gives it a rustic feel. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but would try something else off the menu again, given how long they have been open.

Bruh I don't know what the fuck I just ate... like this is beyond trash for Chinese Food, I'm insulted that they've been open this long in oak cliff. If you're Big on seasoned food DO NOT EAT HERE!! I got lo mein and it taste like some damn fat beef ramen noodles, actually it taste like the noodles you get from Dollar Tree, that's not ramen lol. I will definitely never eat here again. Bruh I wasted $12, I think ima call my bank and dispute it lol...

This is my second time at Chinese Kitchen and my last. I was really hoping my experience would have been better than my first. I went with my best friend on my first visit. We were in the area so I went on Yelp to find the best Chinese Food in the area. We decided to eat there. I got the pork fried rice with an egg roll. My best friend ordered the combination fried rice & egg roll. The fried rice was ok but not the best. They gave us enough for two meals. The egg roll was ok but I have had better. Today I had a taste for pork fried rice and since my experience was ok, I decided to give them another chance. When I got home and took a bite of my food it was horrible. This has got to be by far the worst pork fried rice I have ever tasted. The rice was not fresh at all. To me the taste was like left over rice cooked with pork. Absolutely no flavor. I just wasted $8.00 on this garbage. There were only two customers on a Saturday night so now I know why.

Hot and sour soup full of yumminess!

This is a serious hole in the wall place but SO WORTH IT!!! The hot and sour soup was full of goodies; not just a broth with a few vegetables. It was homemade in every way. Took a minute to get use to but seriously good. My mangolian beef was in a sweeter sauce than what I usually get but was equally wonderful. Egg rolls are homemade and yummy. Seriously, some of the very best Chinese food we've ever eaten. Plus the owner and her son gave excellent customer service. Lots of people came in for take-out while we were there. Truly a place worth trying if your not a decor snob.

Very delicious just like the pic!!!!

Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly and gave us some great recommendations since it was our first time dining there. We tried the following dishes: Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), Gong Bao Pork, and Stir-Fried La Mian with Vegetables. My favorite dishes were the beef dish and the soup dumplings. I would definitely order those again. It was also really nice to see the chef hand-pull the noodles right behind our table, which added to the whole experience. Overall, both the food and service were excellent. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again.

This visit, we hosted family from East Texas who'd been here once before. Starting with delicious Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings and Bucks Spare Ribs, we moved on to Ants Climbing Trees (Ma Yi Shang Shu), a classic Sichuan dish of vermicelli cooked with minced pork, in fermented chili sauce, with garlic and green onions, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, crispy bite-size shrimp tossed with green onion, basil, garlic, and jalapeño, and Sichuan Green Beans, stir-fried with garlic, mushrooms, and minced pork. We opted for one order of white rice and one of fried rice with our entrées. The restaurant is almost always packed if you don't have a reservation, but the vibe is relaxed and casual without being loud. In fact, it's so popular, you may have to wait a bit even with a reservation, since they want you to enjoy your meal vs rushing you out to "turn the table."

I don't know if they do this all the time, but it makes me feel special. What make this place extraordinary is the service. I apologize, but I forgot to get her name; long dark glorious wavy hair. I would have let this slide if it happened once. I ordered through Uber Eats, and this is now the second time the fried rice I clearly paid for with both entrees was missing from my order. After the first time, I called to let them know, and the response was dismissive. When it happened again, I called again and got the same lack of concern. At that point, it's not a mistake, it's a pattern. At these prices, basic order accuracy and customer service should be a given. As for the food, it's average at best. It doesn't even reach Panda Express level in terms of consistency or flavor, which makes the pricing even harder to justify. I don't see the value here, and based on repeated issues and the lack of accountability, I wouldn't recommend.

Ambiance- 9.5/10 Dim atmosphere with trendy vibes. Cool decor and Jenga to play while waiting for your food. If you don't like dark areas, you can sit outside with umbrellas providing shade. Service- 10/10 Our server was extremely helpful and nice. She recommended excellent dishes and even gave us a plate of chicken wings on the house! Value- 8/10 Good value, especially considering the quality of the food. Most sides were 5-10$, while the entrees were 12-16$. Portions were medium. Food Malaysian Roti- (2 pc, 9.5$)- 9.5/10 Was perfectly flaky and crispy. Came with a flavorful curry dipping sauce. Chili Garlic Edamame- (8$)- 7/10 Everything you would expect. However, it could have more of the chili garlic sauce. They do give you a complementary tray of spicy sauces (including chili oil), so this was not a big deal. Korean Twice Fried Wings- (5 for 14$)- 10/10 Wings were large, so one was the perfect appetizer for a single person. Coated in a heavenly gochujang garlic glaze. Nice and saucy while still being very crispy and juicy. Was my favorite dish we ordered. Pad Thai- (16.5$)- 8.5/10 Came with a fried egg, shrimp, and chicken. Had a hint of spice that elevated it from good to great. Curry Laksa Ramen- (16$)- 9/10 Very flavorful curry broth. Noodles were excellent and also came with tofu and a boiled egg. Overall, every aspect of the resturant was top tier. Would 100% recommend if you are near.

This place is absolutely made for a group outing, and we're already planning to come back with a group to take full advantage. The food was a delight. The Singapore noodles had this wonderful curry flavor that I absolutely loved, and the combo fried rice was just as satisfying. We also ordered the Peking duck (P1 on the menu). It was good, though not quite as flavorful on its own as we'd hoped. That said, once you load it up with the hoisin, cucumber, and spring onions, it all comes together beautifully. The bao buns that came with it were soft and delicious, honestly a highlight. We also sipped on hot jasmine tea throughout, which was the perfect, refreshing complement to the whole meal.
