Kung pao shrimp spicy* barely any shrimp, mostly celery and no spice at all
    Kortney S.

This place smelled amazing when I walked In.... I was super excited to get home and just chow down with my family ! We ordered the tofu and vegetable cashew with pan fried noodles spicy*, sweet and sour chicken, Kung pao shrimp spicy * and shrimp balls ( basically we're crab Rangoon but with shrimp only, they just called them cheese puffs) The portions were big which is a plus for our family of 7. The cheese puffs were mostly cream cheese with one or two salad shrimp In them or just kinda hollow. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good! The Kung pao was not good it tasted like celery even after asking it to be spicy. There was no spice component what so ever. The shrimp were slightly over cooked as well. The tofu vegetable cashew tasted just like the Kung pao.. nothing . The tofu wasn't even seared or anything also after asking for this dish to be spicy as well it was not . The pan fried noodles were not fried in any sense the looked boiled ... pan fried should have some sort of caramelization. Overall if you go here get the sweet and sour it's great. Everything else just taste like celery. Also check out my other review ! I typically leave a great review if I like a place . I rarely leave a 2 star . But our meal was not worth the $70

Delicious egg flower soup with peas, carrots, baby corn, snap peas & bok choy
    bliss s.

The Good: Family owned & operated Best orange chicken EVER Best sweet & sour pork EVER Egg Flour soup Wonton soup Homemade chili oil (request with your order) The Bad: Chow Mein-we don't like crunchy noodles style so we requested soft noodle but it is not szechuan style as we hoped..instead they poured the gelatinous gravy stuff that normally comes on the crunch noodles, over the soft noodles...not a fan. Sai Fun Soup-glass noodles & gray bits of meat (?) The So So: Overall cleanliness Bathrooms

Practically shrimpless Shrimp in Lobster sauce.
    ParisAnne D.

My sister thinks this is the best of the two Chinese places she's eaten at here, which I think is both sad and accurate. The shrimp in lobster sauce was 90% onion (and water chestnut) with a few shrimp thrown in for good measure.

Worst Chinese food ever! tasted disgusting and old, rice was still crunchy, ramen noodles were soggy, soup was just salty water and tea was just hot water without any tea flavor. We tried telling the waitress our concerns and she had the cook come out. She was so pissed about our concerns that she said too bad, you have pay for it. As you can see, we barely ate any of it. Total waste of $35 and will never go back.

Chicken wings done in the lollipop fashion
    Steven F.

Best chicken wings I've ever had. The chef does the wings in a lollipop fashion so each wing is easily held by hand. It comes with a sweet and sour sauce. The wings aren't too spicy and it's very easy to devour them. They take a long time to cook, though, because they're done fresh so before you order anything else, order the wings so they can prepare them. Cost is $9.50 for about 8 wings -- but they're huge. The sweet and sour pork and almond chicken are also awesome. The fried rice is OK, but it's pretty plain.

As a flight attendant and an unapologetic foodie, I've eaten my way through cities all over the world. You learn pretty quickly when a restaurant is simply serving food versus when it's serving something made with genuine care. This place falls firmly into the second category. The customer service? Just the sweet Rainier cherry on top of an already incredible experience (and yes... go look at their bakery case while you're there). Jocelyn was phenomenal. I asked how this little slice of heaven came to be, and she happily shared the story behind it. One owner spent years as an executive chef at a casino, while the other built a career as a professional baker in Aberdeen. Boy, does that expertise show. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. A little context: I mostly eat pescatarian these days, so when I do splurge on chicken, my expectations are sky high. I've built it up in my head as one of the foods I miss most (right alongside a good ribeye), and it's almost always disappointing. Not this time. This chicken is absolutely ridiculous. They debone a chicken thigh and fry it into the crispiest, juiciest piece of fried chicken I've had in a long time. It's made with a gluten-free batter, which means more people get to enjoy it. And before anyone assumes "gluten-free" means sacrificing flavor... think again. Plenty of great chefs will tell you the best fried coatings come from starches like potato or cornstarch anyway. What really made this meal special, though, was that my partner is vegan. If you've ever dined out with someone who's vegan while you aren't, you know how rare it is for both people to walk away feeling like they had an equally great meal. It almost never happens. Here, it did. She ordered the vegan Indian tacos with corn tortillas, and they looked incredible. She was excited to try the fry bread, and instead of simply serving it, the staff thoughtfully explained it wasn't vegan and helped her choose an alternative. That's the kind of attention to detail you don't forget. Our service was perfectly paced. If you're looking for food in five minutes, there are plenty of places where "cooking" means microwaving something that arrived frozen. This isn't one of those places. Everything tastes intentional, and that takes time. Our food still arrived in under 20 minutes, maybe even less. Slow down, talk to the people you're with, and enjoy the experience. Great food isn't supposed to feel rushed. We stumbled across this gem on our drive home from Ocean Shores, and I'm so glad we did. I only wish it were closer to home because we'd become regulars in a heartbeat. I can't recommend this place enough.

We got a veggie burrito and also I told them I wanted a super taco but no meat-beans & cheese instead. The burrito was huge and delicious. My taco order got lost in translation I guess because I didn't get all the stuff the super burrito was supposed to have , like sour cream, lettuce & tomato and guac. All I got was a tortilla with beans & cheese. As our order was to go I didn't go back to correct it. Next time I'll just order meat. Their salsas were excellent-we got both green & red. They juice their own carrots for fresh juice which my husband loves. I got strawberry agua Fresca. I asked for some limes to brighten it up and though I know that's not authentic, they obliged me and I liked it better that way. I'm sure we will be back. I'm not going to hold them responsible for my taco as I don't think I made myself clear and it was kind of a weird request. I just wasn't in the mood for meat. P.S. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 4.5/5 For the food, we had the quesobirria tacos, a slew of papusas, carne asada tacos, and an adobada taco. The best bite, the quesobirria tacos, BY FAR. My daughter said it was "the best birria I've had in a long time." The meat was tender and (not to sound too cliche) the consommé was packed with flavor. The papusas the chicken and cheese was the best one, followed by the jalepeno and cheese, the rest were not bad, just nothing to write home about. As far as the tacos go, the carne asada was fine, the adobada had great flavor and a decent char on it. This made for a great post-crab fishing meal and will likely come back next time we're in town. Oh! This place is on the pricier side, just so there's no sticker shock. The service was decent, but I'm pretty sure our papusas were dished up wrong, but such is life when they all look the same, the inside of the restaurant is all of we the place but super clean.

The food here has generally been okay, and sometimes even good, but today was by far the worst…read moreservice we have experienced. My wife ordered four pupusas and two servings of curtido before I arrived. When I came in, I simply wanted to ask if our order had already been started because, if it hadn't, I was considering making a small change. Before I could even explain what I was asking, I was abruptly interrupted and told, "You can't change orders." Had someone simply explained that the food was already being prepared, I would have completely understood. Instead, the interaction felt rude and dismissive, as if there was no interest in even listening to the customer. Later, while we were seated, I asked if we could have an additional curtido. I was told there would be an extra charge. What surprised me was not the charge itself, but the attitude surrounding the conversation. After the earlier interaction, it felt as though we were not being welcomed as customers. I even pointed out that if I had ordered the pupusas separately, additional curtido would have come with those orders anyway, making the charge seem unnecessary and inconsistent. My family and I have eaten here two, three, and sometimes four times a month. This is not the first time we have experienced poor service, but we overlooked it because we wanted to continue supporting the business. Unfortunately, today's experience was the final straw. What made the situation even worse was that I asked to speak with someone about my concerns. More than 15 minutes passed, and no one came out to speak with me. In fact, I am writing this review while still waiting. What was especially frustrating was that the restaurant was not busy at the time. There were plenty of empty tables and open seating areas, so it did not appear that staff were overwhelmed or unable to respond. A simple conversation, explanation, or apology would have gone a long way. At that point, the issue was no longer about an extra serving of curtido or any additional charge. It was about customer service, communication, and basic respect for customers. We felt ignored and unappreciated despite being regular patrons. Food is only part of the dining experience. Service matters just as much. Customers can overlook mistakes, but they remember how they are treated. I sincerely hope management takes customer service seriously because it is one of the most important parts of running a successful restaurant. We always tip over the customary amount. Not today! Sadly, after today's experience, this will most likely be our last visit.
