Very good. Vietnamese leaning teriyaki, pho, wok, boba tea spot in west Hoquiam. We'd never been before and my sister, who is a local Hoquiamese, had not mentioned this place. We'd been to another teriyaki joint in town and were split on that one, so we decided to give this one a try on the way back from Forks area. We're glad we did because we found our new favorite spot in Hoquiam. The food, service, and restaurant were are really good. The variety of delicious items on the menu is a bit overwhelming, but in a good way. Like, if I were to grub out while living in Hoquiam, I'd be going to Speed Bowl all the time. Their teriyaki is true to Seattle-style - very tasty. My daughter really enjoyed the Philadelphia roll, which is a win any time it's on the menu. Next time I'll try the Thai or Boba tea (no boba, don't bully) options for sure - they looked amazing. The place was clean, there's a fair amount of parking, and service was nice. The girl who was working the register and lobby was very kind and served well. Seemed like a younger crowd inside than most other restaurants in town that aren't bar and grills. We all enjoyed our meals here and will return again next time in town, even if it's a little far from where we usually stay. Only gripe is it's a slightly higher priced joint but I'd say it was worth it! read more

Tried items from each Asian ethnic section. Found I prefer Chinese Honey wings to Korean. SB makes the BEST spring rolls with LARGE shrimp and cilantro! Many places skimp on these. Huge selection of Bubble teas. Husb. loves their fried rice, no leftovers. Took 3 takeout meals to enjoy over W/E. Whenever we drive into town we stop in for either a bubble tea and/or takeout to take home for dinner. Try it, you'll find several good things on their menu, friendly staff and neighbors. read more

As an Asian, I wasn't expecting much from an Asian restaurant in a small town far away from the main city, but it beat my expectations. The service was super fast, just like the name "Speed Bowl" suggests. There are so many menu options to choose from, covering a wide range of Asian cuisines. I had the spicy tuna sushi burrito, and it was pretty good--flavorful and fresh. My husband tried the egg drop soup, which was also good, but the teriyaki chicken was a bit too sweet, and the chicken was dry. Overall, a pleasant surprise, and I'd give it 4 stars. read more

This place has amazing favorable food and the options are many! Many vegetarian options and their teriyaki tofu is delicious. Not rubbery as often is the case with fried tofu. I have ate their sushi, teriyaki chicken and tofu, yakisoda and fried rice. Everything is just soooooo good! Nice people run this place and they give big portions so leftovers are plenty. This is a very cute small place. I love the chill atmosphere. The food was amazing. I got the spicy salmon burrito and the dragon roll. They don't skimp out and the portions are perfect. If I could put ZERO STARS i totally would. The sizes were small! I had about 4 peices of thick fatty brisket, the cilantro came all on the stems the limes were so hard I cldnt even get a drop of juice out, the pnut sauce was literally warm creamy pnut butter wo any added flavors or anything. I'm not from here I jus moved from up north were there are pho joints on every corner. I was very displeased by this, the teriyaki bowl was small w like a half of a chicken breast n a scoop of rice. For 4 spring rolls and 2 main courses and 3 bottled pops were over 70 bucks. No extra add ons. I just went there with my family after driving all day and it was the best food I've had in a long time, the service was fast and the server was very nice although she was the only server there, she did a good job! I stopped by Speed Bowl to grab late lunch after spending some time at Ocean Shore. I wanted something different from sandwiches I was eating during the hikes. I ordered the Shrimp Spring Roll and Teriyaki Chicken. The spring roll looked little fat but tasted okay. Maybe the peanut sauce was little thick or cold because spring roll wasn't dipping well. The Teriyaki was good. I would get it again. It had enough charred flavor and you can add more sauce to your liking. read more

Dinner was much more than we expected. We ordered beef yakisoba, shrimp and chicken yaki-udon, and orange chicken. We also shared an avocado sushi roll. Our meal was served hot and quickly. The food burst with freshness and flavor. We all enjoyed our dishes and raved. The interior of the restaurant is clean, modern and comfortable. Nice, easy to read lit menu as well as table menus. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and chicken fried rice. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Even had some leftovers for later! I like that they serve bottled beer too. The restaurant is clean and we sat near the doors on a cold day, which was a mistake because that area was cold too. Service was OK. Taking the order was super fast. The food at this restaurant is really good. I have eaten at the restaurant and got food to go. The service has always been pretty good for a busy place. I liked the pad thai, loved the pho, my son had the spicy tuna burrito, and thought it was the best thing he had ever eaten, lol. The only thing negative that I would say is that some of the pictures on the menu don't match what you actually get. Stopped in for lunch today and had Chicken Teriyaki and Beef Teriyaki. Very fresh tasting, the beef was large and tender chunks, better than most Teriyaki places. The chicken was thick and juicy, freshly cooked. Service was pretty fast, 10 minutes from order to food in front of me. It is located in what I believe is an old KFC so they have good parking, lots of room for diners and clean restrooms for men and women. The Menu is pretty basic but it works and they do offer Pho and Burgers as well, (see menu picture I posted). Will come back again whenever I am in the area. read more

I came in with my grandma and she got the chicken teriyaki and I got the tofu yakisoba. Mine was delicious and I will be coming back. My grandmas food on the other hand her chicken was undercooked it seems lukewarm and the lemons were old. The only thing I can complain really about is the wait staff. They did not seem trained enough to know what to do when I had questions about veggie stuff (I'm vegan) she did not know what I meant and one just said "Okay...?" when we showed her the food like she also did not know what to do. The lady that owns the place offered to refund us or remake the food for free. We chose neither and left. read more
