I was in town visiting and craving Thai food. Thai Carrot popped up first on my search. Turned out to be a great choice. We came in on Saturday night around 6:15pm. It was packed, which is always a good sign for any restaurant. The vibe was nice and welcoming. The waitress / server that was taking care of the tables was kicking ass and taking names! She was Super nice and a Rockstar! And the manager / owner(?) was very nice too! We had the Garlic Pepper, Pad Se Ew, and Pineapple Fried Rice. All three with chicken. Looked for a Thai place in Aberdeen and Thai Carrot came as a top suggestion on Yelp. Small place with great ambiance. Tucked away from the main action areas of Aberdeen, we had to drive a few miles to find this place. There were enough parking in their private lot. We were greeted by a young lady who showed us a table with a window view. They have quite a few options on their menu. It's a $$ place. They also offered the Bobas. We started with Sunshine Tea and Chicken potstickers. Also ordered the Pad Kra Pao and Pineapple fried rice. Wait time wasn't crazy. They served the Sunshine tea first, followed by the potstickers. We experimented a little bit with the spice level. Level 4 spice level was not bad for us. Really loved the potstickers - hot and crispy. Within a few minutes they served the Pad Kra Pao and Pineapple fried rice as well. Loved the flavors of the food. It was different. I was expecting a more Americanized version of Thai food, but this turned out to be more on the authentic side of it. Spice level was spot on for us. I was trying the Pad Kra Pao for the first time - that too with tofu. Really enjoyed. The Pineapple fried rice was also lived up to our expectations. We stopped here during our trip. The portion is pretty big and their spicy level is spicier than typical Thai restaurant in the US. The food was just fine. I ordered my noodles with level 3 spiciness (I like spicy) and had stomachahe after. I suggest you to go 1 level lower than what you typically order at other restaurants. read more

Not great Thai food, but it's a small town and they have vegan options, so you could do worse. We did a take-out order one evening when passing through town, and our order was ready in 20 minutes. We ordered the pa nang curry, garlic pepper stirfry, and pad kee mao -- all with tofu and all modified to be vegan. We requested everything to be a 4 out of 5 spiciness. First, the good: Almost all their dishes can be made vegan, include their curries, stir fries, and noodle dishes. Value for money is good, as they have large portions, and all non-noodle dishes come with rice. Service was friendly over the phone for the order and gave me confidence that the dishes would be done vegan as requested. Okay, the bad: the 4/5 spiciness was insane. We've been to Thailand and know what Thai spiciness can be. This place seems to just add chilis to the dishes without properly integrating the spiciness into the dishes. But perhaps the problem is with the dishes, because all 3 dishes lacked flavour depth, even the curry. The pad kee mao was the blandest and most boring of all, with almost no flavour besides the garlic -- I don't usually complain about lack of salt in Asian food, but this dish was under-salted. Essentially ditto for the garlic pepper dish. The curry had more flavour, but still lacked depth that Thai curries can have. All 3 dishes were disappointing flavour-wise and prohibitively spicy to be able to enjoy without suffering -- mouths and assholes beware. All in all, subpar Thai food. At least they can cater to vegans, which we really appreciate, But we wouldn't return. The food just isn't made well. read more

Positives: Tasty food, lots of choices, seafood is fresh, bobba is good, their soups are really great if you are feeling sick or just need to warm up, Giant portions, spicy is spicy, Service is friendly and will sometimes give free things if you tip. Negatives: Expensive but then again Giant portions, just don't go thinking you aren't going to spend less than 20$ per person. Seating is small so no large parties. Everything was fresh!! Veggies cooked perfectly. My complaint is the fried tofu head ZERO seasoning and the crab Rangoon that says contain real crab... there was no crab in it. Not a single one of the 6 pieces did we come across a single piece of meat. I get crab prices are expensive, so maybe put one piece in each wrapper or don't claim real crab and use fake. The pad Thai was very flavorful and a huge portion! Quite the bang for your buck. A friend and I ordered to go and ordered extra sauce because we had a 20 min car ride home and those noodles absorb the sauce . Still very good. I got the level 2 spice . It was an enjoyable amount of spice not too spicy. ( I love super spicy). Cute building but not meant for eating in unless weather permits since it's more of an outdoor type area. read more

Within its category for location this place is fantastic. When road tripping we like fresh and light and something away from the typical burger and fries. Always a need for veggies. And this place hit the spot. We love Thai and this place had all of our usual favorites and it absolutely delivered on taste. Not too heavy on the sauce. Great on taste. Ample amount of veggies and meat. Service was friendly and we got served quickly on a Friday evening. The worst thai food I have ever had. It was steamed veggies and boiled chicken with what appeared to be bottled peanut sauce poured over the top. I actually spit it out, paid and left without eating. The place is dirty and smells like a toilet. read more

We've been here multiple times since moving to the area in July. At first it was fantastic and I was so happy to find a Thai place only 20 mins away and we were going weekly. The last two times we got food here changed our mind. In early September we got take out and it was the best we'd had yet- that night we all got terribly ill with food poisoning. We thought it was probably Thai carrot because it was the only thing we could think of that the entire family ate; however we couldn't be sure because it hit us a few hours apart. We waited a while and decided to go again last week. This time, two of our meals had multiple long black hairs wound around in the rice. That of course caused our appetite to leave us, so we stopped eating. That night we again became terribly sick. I'm so sad because we really loved this place at first. read more

First time customer. I ordered takeout and then opened it several hours later to find it was not what I ordered and wasn't something I could eat. Called them and they asked if they could call me back in a bit because they were busy. Then they didn't call back. I called the next day and was told the person I needed to talk to was off that day. On the third day, she called me and said if I could return the uneaten item, she would replace it. I had thrown away the food already so she refused to replace it. It smelt like cows, or like a petting zoo, and tasted like it too. Vegetables were hard, not cooked well. Meat had a funny taste. Food came out slow. So I attended GHC from 2016-2018. I'm originally from Las Vegas, and we have a variety of food to chose from especially Thai food. I haven't been able to find any place in Vegas, since I've moved back, that makes the pho broth as good as this place makes it. I genuinely miss this pho and I have very high expectations for pho because of this place. Im not sure how the quality of the food has changed after Covid, but this is by far my favorite pho I have ever had, although I haven't been back since 2018 so... I've tried Thai Smile and Thai Carrot so far. Thai Carrot is definitely my favorite Thai food in the area. It feels and tastes fresher, more flavorful, and "authentic." You can also sit down and enjoy your meal, which is a plus. Food was fresh and tasty. I felt they were a tad stingy with the peanut sauce on my pra ram, and the fresh spring rolls were average. Service was pretty quick and staff was nice. Music was kind soft and soothing. I am making it 5 stars for the food because it was excellent, fresh and tasty. Plus we did not have to wait very long to get it. However, the overall decor is kind of old and tired looking. The restrooms were clean but very old and kind of dirty. The worst part was the filthy soy sauce bottle, salt & pepper shakers and the glass dish holding them on the table. The dining room was supposed to be open until 8:30, but they closed it at 7:00 - about 15 minutes before we got there. So, we ordered it for takeout. They had a new person at the counter who didn't know the answers to some basic questions about the food. They were out of what I wanted to order. I ordered something else. I think the Thai Carrot may be my favorite place to eat in all of Grays Harbor County, which may not be saying much really. But their food is delicious, the service is quick and friendly, and the free refills of Thai Iced Tea (which is a must-have if you visit) are the icing on the cake. I always tell myself that I'm going to try a new dish the next time I go, but I always end up getting the Tom Kha soup, which comes in a huge bowl; more than enough to feed 2-4 people, especially if you add a side of rice. I like to mix the soup and rice together, and then add a few drops of Sriracha to kick up the heat just a tad. If you're in Grays Harbor, I would highly suggest you eat here! We had a #36 drunken noodle with 2 star ** I would recommend you get hotter temperature wise . Matt had the beef teriyaki he said it had flavor and was good. My friend had #45 Gaeng Mussaman with tofu stars *** she loved it was very generous with Tofu. I liked the flavor of the coconut curry dish she had I would order that next time. This has been my favorite spot for Thai food for years!! Reason for less than 5 star rating is because the rice wasn't their normal jasmine rice it was really soggy and more medium grain..it was just disappointing. The chicken satay use to be nice tender thin pieces of chicken this time it was really thick and a little dry. And my stir fry was only warm.. but the flavors were still there and still really good. Just wish they wouldn't use lower quality rice..I love their normal jasmine rice.. The Thai iced coffee is soo good and I love their salad rolls! read more

Tasty red curry chicken. Sticky rice came with and was perfect. Had an ice cold Singha and it perfectly complimented my meal. Ordered a ginger chicken stir fry and tasted a small portion and took the rest home. What I sampled was delicious. Perfect stop just off the road from Westport. I will be back. read more
