Yes on so many levels. The crunch wrap is unique & insanely delicious. Yes to the crunch wrap. I asked for a steak and my buddy asked for carnitas. We cut it in half and split it so we both got to try two different variations. Both are insanely delicious. Come hungry and you'll leave happy.

    Crunch wrap supreme with carnitas

If you want a higher quality crunch wrap supreme, this is the place. It is quite hefty and I found it tasty all around. I knocked down a star because the carnitas I had was a little dry.

Went for an impromptu tattoo and the tattoo shop we went to had gotten them to cater. Best decision ever. The tortillas tasted fresh. Their salsa was spicy but not unbearable. Fresh ingredients. On top of delicious food, the guy working there was very welcoming and kind. Think about these guys for your next event!

Mulita on the left and taco on the right. They're just a little bigger than the included lime and radish slices...

$2 taco + $3 mulita = $5 very happy meal! I don't know what they're catering is like, but my friend and I spotted their truck while eating through the Artist's District and figured we could stuff ourselves just a little more. We got the carne asada mulita and carnitas taco. Both were juicy and flavorful. The mulita was extra hot with the crispy cheese grilled on the outside. At the expense of some burned fingertips and tongues, we wolfed it all down. I just wish they were a little bigger, I think the tortillas were about the size of silver dollar pancakes Note: red salsa is more mild than the green one.

Everyone will have their own thoughts on gentrification, but I must say that a side of it that I don't hate is having an abundance of tacos trucks now night and day in the Arts District. Chingón Catering often hangs out during the day, and while their tacos are good, I think they're bested pretty easily by some of the nearby competitors. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Things are pretty straight forward at Chingon. You place your order, wait and bit, and they yell your number out the back with your order. There are some seats here and there and a makeshift table. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Tacos at Chingon run $2.00 a pop, which is reasonable given their larger than usual size. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? These tacos were just okay. The tortillas tasted store bought and weren't as fluffy and fresh as you can find elsewhere. The meats were fine, but also not the best I've had, and the salsas, while possibly the highlight, were fine. Single Star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? So here's the thing, as I've said, there's now an abundance of taco trucks in Arts District, and to be honest Adrians Taco Trailer is so strong that I can't yet recommend anywhere else. No Star.

Carne Asada Burrito and Carne Asada Mulitas

Hands down best Mexican spot here in Little Tokyo. There is a line past 12:30pm for lunch so next time I am going to try to go earlier. My co-worker ordered 3 tacos and waited for 15 minutes...she was getting a little worried they forgot her order, but when they called her up, they gave extra tacos for the wait. Now any business that knows how to give and take like that definitely earns my respect. Ordered: Carne Asada Burrito - perfect ratio of rice, beans, cilantro, salsa and meat. Yum!!!! Mulitas - carne asada and man it was good! Its like fried mini quesadilla, with a little crunch, and enhances the taste of the marinated meat. Would definitely go back again and try the tacos! A lot of people also ordered the bowls and crunch wrap. Probably my next orders...cant wait! I recommend trying out this place!

Tried the standard test, taco asada- great choice, certain everything else is good.

Ran into their truck in the Arts District, tried one of their signature tacos, great deal and very good.

    Carnitas mulita, bomb!
    Mario C.

I was walking to Arts District Brewing Company and happened to walk past this little gem of an eatery. I ordered the carnitas mulita for 3 bucks and boy was I happy. My first bite went like this, "this is fuckin bomb!". I'm Mexican and my family comes from the state of Michoacán where carnitas originated, so I've had some damn good carnitas before. The carnitas was cooked to perfection and the guac salsa + red salsa on top (not spicy) added such a great compliment to the already tasty meat. Don't pass on this tiny taco truck, they know what they are doing.

The shrimp was plump and flavorful. What amped up the flavor was the salsa on top which was super flavorful and fresh and not too salty for me. I also liked the creamy avocado on top. Everything held together well and it wasn't too messy to eat. I would keep coming back here for these alone. This is a food truck, but they actually have a designated indoor seating with ample tables and chairs and even bathrooms! Parking is street parking. I would highly recommend this spot among LA's best tacos spots.

Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. You all need to come to this place.

Cousins Francisco Aguilar and Alexis Chacon relocated from Oaxaca to open this mobile mariscos operation. But Simon's seafood-forward menu is innovative and sophisticated, seemingly more at home in a sit-downery than a mobile food cart. Unsurprisingly, Simon has been lauded by news outlets and food critics abound. I've been dying to try Simon, but the limited and often unpredictable hours have kept me from it for months. My partner and I visited for a late weekend lunch and ordered immediately. We opted for 2 tacos (the Soft Shelled Crab and the Baja-style Fish) and a Large Aguachile Negro, and our made-to-order meal was prepared within a few minutes. Between the tacos, the crab was a clear winner. The crispy, whole crab was well-complemented by the fresh pineapple salsa and the rich chipotle crema. In stark contrast, the Baja-style fried fish was one-dimensional in flavor and ran on the soggy side, owing to the watery pickled cabbage slaw. But not even the crab taco could compete with the stellar aguachile. We couldn't get enough of the marinade's rich blend of acidity and smokiness, which overshadowed even the generous helping of fresh shrimp. Simon's complimentary salsa lineup also exceeded expectations. We most enjoyed the earthy salsa macha and the smooth, creamy salsa verde, but the tangy salsa Simon -- the truck's take on taco sauce -- was no slouch, either. Our bill totaled just over $30, and the meal felt reasonably priced and appropriately filling. While the tacos didn't knock my socks off, the aguachile certainly did -- I can't wait to return to try some of Simon's other varieties.
