Purchased before the pandemic and everything was so delightful. Customer service at this mall location what size amp even made their daily recommendation for me. I love cookies, they're my favorite baked item. Chip NYC came on my radar when a trusted foodie friend started posting photos and raving about how good the cookies here were. Located in a small storefront right off Ditmars, Chip NYC definitely follows the trend set by that shop in the UWS of making large tasty cookies (rhymes with Mevain). The cookies here are dense but not overly rich. The chocolate chip was gooey and tasty. Oatmeal raisin was good and it had bits of candied citrus in it as well. Overall, the cookies were very good but IMO the OG in the UWS still reigns supreme. That being said, Chip NYC is definitely worthy of your attention. Two thumbs up. read more

OMG!!! This place is FANTASTIC!!!! The best cookie I have ever had in my life. The smell when you open the box of cookies is intoxicating. We ordered the chocolate chip, carrot and double chocolate. All were warm with a crispy exterior and soft chewy center. At this point our favorite is the double chocolate which tasted like a brownie. Run to this store!! read more

Love this place! Took my best friend here and the staff were kind enough to let us get separate three cookie boxes for the buy 5 get 1 free deal! The chocolate chip cookie is a MUST. I love the crunchy texture on the outside and soft texture on the inside. You have to eat these cookies while they're still warm!! The red velvet also had a chocolate filling inside and that added the perfect touch to the texture and taste of the cookie. I'm not really a fan of funfetti but this cookie definitely masked the extra cakey and sugary taste that most funfetti cookies have. The service received was fast and everyone was really nice. I had to stop by here when I came to Astoria b/c of all the hype from my friends. After eating a big bowl of Japanese ramen (@HinoMaru) we all needed something sweet to satisfy our tummies. Luckily, we made it just in time before closing (~9:45pm) and I managed to grab the last Choco Chip cookie while my friends got the Cookies and Cream cookies. Each cookie was $3.50 which, in my opinion is quite pricey for one cookie. But when I ate it, I could see why it was pricey. The cookie has a perfect crunchy outer layer and a soft and slightly gooey inside texture that makes it so delicious especially when eaten right away when it is hot. Also, the cookie is super thick so it's filling and definitely not something you can finish in one sitting if you just ate a meal. Overall, if you have a big sweet tooth and you're up for the hype, stop by here~ read more

So happy a Chip location opened up closer to my apartment, although that probably means it's worse for my waist line. They also are on grubhub and deliver as well! Like the rest of the locations they serve 4 cookies a day. And cookies run for $3.50 a cookie. Also if you buy 5 you can get a 6th cookie free. The store front is a little small, but perfect for a quick stop in. They also have milk available as well. Some of my favorite flavors include: funfetti, cookies n cream and oatmeal apple pie. We got the Smore, chocolate chip, sprinkles and peanut butter and jelly cookie. Can I say I've never had better, oowie, coowie cookies . These cookies are so awesome!! They're seriously so huge and fluffy that it can be difficult to even finish a whole one at times lol. The people that work there are always nice and work as fast as possible! I love that the cookies are always fresh and that there are different flavors every single day! Only down side is how long the lines can get at times (but that just shows how popular they are).. the longest I've waited was 15 min.. but it was worth it! These cookies are delicious. Sweet, warm, ooeey, gooey and chewy. They are fresh and just the right size (big). Just what you want in a cookie. Currently $3.50/each and worth every penny. Parking in Astoria is terrible but this location is better than their original Astoria location. I believe they accept both paper and plastic. Later at night this second location due to being a little less accessible may have more variety. I believe they are opening up their third location Friday 01/18/19 in LIC. Delicious cookies! Eat them on the spot because they taste best fresh baked - soft and chewy. Thankful they added a second location. Never have to wait in line at this location unlike the other one. Staff was nice. Buy 5 cookies get the 6th free. 4 stars because they don't have any gluten free options which is a huge downer given how common that is nowadays and how easy it is to just switch the flour out. Most bakeries do it. read more

It's just bad, don't go! We had to visit to see what the hype is about. Lines were long and people were bragging how great those cookies are! Being that we love our sweets, we had to swing by to try it. We got three different cookies - macadamia, walnut, and highly recommended chocolate chip. The cookies just came out of the oven so they were nice and toasty. BTW, they are huge! And they are heavy. They bake them right there on the premises, which is always nice to see. After just having maybe a half of one cookie, I was on sugar high. Chocolate is also not the best quality, which is sad to see, especially when you pay $3.5 for a cookie. The location is convenient, right off the main street and hustle and bustle. Parking is tough so come by foot. Service is pleasant and they offer milk if you wish to have it with your cookies. read more

If you have a choice go to this location over the Astoria one!!! There was a line out the door in Astoria and here we got every flavor with zero wait. These cookies are a slam dunk honestly. Unlike any I've ever had. They rotate their flavors daily so check the menu on their website to know what to expect. Clean establishment and great service. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the price - I paid $17 for 4 cookies and a cup of milk. More of a treat yoself kind of situation. read more

I won't be saying anything that hasn't already been said about this place; I just want to give it another 5 star review. These cookies are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Melt in your mouth, not in your hands amazing. I find myself always craving Chip. I'm actually glad I no longer live in Astoria otherwise I'd be the size of these big fat cookies by now. A crispy exterior with a doughy soft slightly undercooked interior- that's the secret that makes these cookies perfect. Far better than Levain. I always opt for the classic chocolate chip although they also have other delicious flavors that rotate each day. Love this spot read more

Fantastic cookie shop in Astoria (several locations in Queens and one shop in Manhattan). The cookies are substantial in size and quite heavy so do not expect a flimsy little cookie, nope they are more like a large gooey cookie-cake. They are perfectly baked: super soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. These are hands down the best cookies I've had (or will ever have) in my life. At the time I was staying in Midtown and took 2 subways to get to Astoria. One cookie alone was worth the 45 minute commute there. I can't wait for them to open up their Bleecker Street location!! The S'mores cookies are to die for, and I can't wait to try another flavor. Any place that welcomes me with a smile when they see me walking in with my two toddlers is a load off for me. In today's increasingly anti-kid-friendly environment, Chip always seems to be a breath of deliciously chocolatey cookies smelling air. My babies love looking at the gigantic cookies lit up by the warming bulbs. They love talking to the staff and getting their sticker. We let them pick one to share. Which Is normal not a toddler's forte. But when given the choice between sharing a gigantic cookie, or no cookie, they quickly choose their cookie. We sometimes bring them home and keep them in the refrigerator. and warm them up for a decadent treat, even a week later. The chocolate chip and walnut are hands down my favorite cookies. If you haven't been, you need to go. Seriously, go. But definitely get some milk as well. Cuz these babies are sweet. read more

I have to start by saying that I am not much of a cookie person, or sweets, but their blueberry cheesecake cookie was top notch. It is very moist, melt in our mouth, and just right amount of sweet . The funfetti was so good too! Again, I'm not truly a sweets gal, so this to me was a lot of cookie and a lot like a cake-cookie, so a few bites and I was done. I'm a big fan of Levain cookies in my neighborhood (UWS), but these Chip cookies were amazing, so warm, soft and chewy in the middle. We tried a variety and loved all of them. Any line moves quickly, so don't be afraid to wait. They also have some deals - if you buy 5 cookies, you get a free one. Hopefully I can catch one of the cheesecake flavors next time I'm in Astoria. They only have one vegan cookie, the standard chocolate chip, but man is it worth it! I had my doubts but I was SO blown away. Outside has a light crisp, inside is gooey, warm, and cookie doughy. Their endless variety of cupcakes range from red velvet to biscoff and their custom cakes are impressive as well. True to their name, the "layered" sundaes are a perfect "dessert in a cup" option. Nutella and lotus are popular ones but the galaxy is the one to get. I've been told the brownies and donuts are also good, but I will reserve that for my next (late night) visit.

I completely understand that prices change, but it didn't feel great to only realize the difference at checkout. It would be really helpful to let customers know before they order. I'd recommend checking the price with them in advance, just to avoid any confusion. I also noticed that the filling in the burek was quite small this time. The pastry itself was still big and puffy, but the amount of filling inside felt much less than before. Another small thing is that there were no name or price tags for the sweets. While the outside awning notes "The Little Coffee Shop", to my understanding "To Laiko" means "The people's" in Greek. I'm not sure how long they've been around, but they've been a fixture for as long as I've stepped foot in the borough (#1). This has certainly been a place that has been for the people (#2), which is always a great sign. They're among the only folks to my knowledge that sell authentic bougatsa, a breakfast phyllo rich specialty pastry that skews sweet and is enjoyed best with tea and/or coffee. They also have an excellent selection of spanakopita, which is Greece's most famous pastry containing feta and spinach. (#3) The kasseri cheese pie is also not to be missed, along with koulouri (sesame circular bread rolls), savory pastries, and the occasional loukamade (aka Greek donut). Prices aren't back breaking, but they've crept up over the years. While I think they accept credit card, it's always best to go with cash here to avoid any upcharges. Service from Angela is sweet and cordial and I prefer getting a drink with several pies on the go since seating is minimal. My hope is that this review helps others find them, since this is a place not to be missed. There are many different types of toppings you can add, most of which are quite appealing, but I went with the Gold N Cream, which had chocolate, bavarian cream and biscotti. Upon my first bite, I assumed I would only be able to eat a few of my box because of the aforementioned crazy eating before coming here. But as I kept going, I realized, somehow, these little delights were nowhere near as heavy and filling as they looked. And by the end of it, I suffered zero stomach-based consequences from my actions. This can only mean that loukoumades are extremely healthy and amazing for you. They're practically grilled chicken! The cold brew was fine - it got the job done and saved me from an epic food coma. And I got to try a new dessert, so everyone won on this day.

This is actually cheesecake rather than the lighter Japanese version, with a strong black sesame flavor. Hojicha creme brulee: this came as part of a promotion, and the taste is strong. They do brulee the top on the spot and my sugar top got a little too burnt. Oolong tea cheesecake: still good, would get this again still. Lighter flavor but the floral flavor does come out at the end of a bite. Coconut milk jelly: the lightest of the flavor but still sweet and flavorful enough to come through. There's a dusting of graham crackers and strawberry jelly to complement. We also got a hot matcha jasmine latte but it was actually cold. It seems like it normally comes iced and perhaps they have no way of warming up the jasmine part. There's a points program and tons of promotions that rotate. There have also been different desserts that rotate so I'll have to keep coming back to try more. They have a lunch special too where you can get a drink or dessert for less cost.

The pancakes were delicious, they were light and fluffy and the buttercream added a nice touch to them. The guava flavor paired well with the pancakes. My friends and I noticed that the place gets really full but seems to clear out around 1pm on weekdays. There is a bathroom available all the way in the back which is nice. Everything we got was really good and cooked to perfection. It was such a unique experience as well. The brought us a small basket of pita like bread, hot, fluffy and delicious. So we had all the appetizers but the food took 30 mins and from the looks, it dis not seemed busy. In my opinion, the side dishes should be brought out with main courses but i guess thats NOT what they do here. I recalled asking at the counter for light seasoning on the red snapper. When the fish came to the table, it had some type of breadcrumbs and oil or butter. Which in my opinion is not bad but i appreciate the unique texture and flavor red snapper has all on its own. The octopus was good but i never had it sliced looking like bacon strips. Tasty but different, scallops had a little paprika, cooled perfectly. The smelts were fried just perfectly, like good french fries. I assume this restaurant is a mix of middle-Mediterranean cooking style. Food was tasty, style of service was definitely different. I will come back and try the lunch specials during the week. As a side note, accessing the restrooms was very confusing, they have 2 restrooms, there was a line to get into the restrooms. Very clean bathrooms for sure.
