Still the best cookies around. I'm so happy how fast they are expanding. Their newest location in Ditmars is much larger and more spacious than the one in Astoria. Completely dissatisfied with the customer service this store has . I come weekly and enjoy the inventory that always changes but going there yesterday was the worst. I was with my manager and my manager wanted two of the strawberry shortcakes cookies that they had. And I wanted one for myself and a regular triple chocolate chip. My manager gave me her card and we were both having two separate transaction. My manager was outside and was on a call and I went inside to purchase them. Told them I wanted two for my manager for one order . And then another order of the strawberry shortcake and the triple chocolate for myself. The people in the store stated that I can't do more than two of the special cookies in one order. I said okay so if I were to walk out and give my manager her order can I order it again and they said no, they will remember me because it's only two per order. I've literally gained 10 lbs along with my husband since finally trying this spot right before Thanksgiving. First thing I will say is that it was pretty amazing to walk around the corner and be able to smell fresh cookies a good 30 feet away from the actual shop. Vibe inside is cool and the girls working there were very friendly. However, prices were a bit high for what you get ($3.50 per cookie), and as amazing as they smelt, the taste was pretty sub par. Too bread-y (for lack of a better term), and I never thought I would say this, but there were too many chocolate chips. First, know that these cookies are massive. There's a rotating list of flavors. I was there today and they had chocolate chip, blueberry cheesecake, where chocolate macadamia, and s'mores. Chip has always been my go-to favorite since it came to the neighborhood. This location definitely doesn't get as crowded as the 30th Ave one, which is a huge plus. Employees are friendly and the place is clean. The only issue I have with Chip is a baking soda/powder problem. On occasion, when I order the Funfetti, there will be spots that taste bitter/sour. Usually this is a mixing issue hence the deduction of a star. Haven't encountered this in any of the other flavors, though! read more

Chip is so incredibly delicious, and so pure, that it is one of the few things giving me hope that this world may actually be okay. That being said, I desperately need them to bring back Nutella Sea Salt. I check that site (embarrassingly) almost regularly, and peep in the window more often then I care to admit, but I have yet to see that cookie make a comeback. Mmmm. I loved my experience here. I got a chocolate chip (my favorite) a mint chocolate (yummy) and the cranberry white chocolate (I didn't want it at all but was pleasantly surprised). I went there September 24th at 9:30 because I know they were closing at 10 so I rushed to get my cookie. There was one guy purchasing in the store so I waited outside patiently. A few mins later the customer came to the door and put the "closed" sign on the door. It was very rude, and if they were closing I think the person working should have told me outside that they were closed or not accepting more customers after 9:30. I placed an order online and when I got to the 33rd street and ditmars location I waited patiently outside the door til my order was ready. However, while I was waiting I was watching their every move. Both girls were NOT wearing hair nets. Their hats were not fully placed on their heads meaning, one girl had her bangs full on out (perfect attempt for hair to fall into cookies) and other girl has super long ponytail same thing. Not contained in any way. They both kept touching their face with their gloves on. You do know we are admist a viral pandemic, right and Queens happens to be a hotspot? They kept touching their cell phones. I don't know where their phones have been or if it's been wiped down. By far the dirtiest thing a human being has attached to them any day of the week. Feeding ground for bacteria, germs and viruses. But that's not what pushed me over the edge. What I saw next was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate and showed the lack of direction, or compassionate care during this pandemic or safety for their patrons. The tall girl with curly black hair and glasses with her gloves on goes to blow her nose and when she finished, she never took off her gloves, never washed her hands. Do you know what she did? Went back to touching cookies with those dirty gloves after blowing her nose, touching her face and touching her phone. Went back to touching cookies to pack orders and went back to touching the raw cookie dough laying them in a cookie sheet. Are you kidding me? This is what you teach your staff? A time like this? Your health and food safety standards should be amplified in a way like you've never had before. Unbelievable. Absolutely disgusting. I refused my order after seeing that and will NOT be returning ever again. Best bet I'm telling everybody because this virus is NOT something to be funny or joke about. We purchased the Blueberry Cheesecake cookie on saturday and the dough was raw. We called to let the staff know about the situation not looking for any freebies cause I wasn't about to go back but out of courtesy they should know that the product was not cooked properly. AH-mazing cookies. Period. I think I've had almost every one. They're always on time with their delivery and I've never once had a bad experience in person at any of their locations. The only downside (which isn't at all a stain on them) is that they close at 10PM. If they were open later, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, that would be trouble. We love Chip. Between this, the other Astoria location, and Gaansevort Market, we've had Chip plenty of times and it's always consistently good. I like this place a little better than the other ones because the line here isn't as long and I can usually get what I want without having to wait too long for it. The ability to order online for pickup from this location via Grubhub also makes my life so much easier. The people that work here and kind and speedy, and it makes everything go so much faster. The cookies are the same quality as from the other locations. We've had the blueberry cheesecake (a favorite for both me and my husband), funfetti, chocolate chip, walnut chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal apple pie, smores, and triple chocolate. We haven't been able to make it for any of their fun flavors, but I'm hoping to try their cinnamon roll, baklava, and red velvet eventually. Basically, I love this place, and it is oh so good. I love chocolate chip cookies, i have had chip nyc twice. They are good , not the best i have had but I'll eat them again. Wouldn't go out of my way to go get them though. This place is very good. The cookies are innovative and taste very good for the most part. I think my favorite is the triple chocolate, though I liked the Scoobie Snack one a lot too. Some flavors are better than others and some miss the mark, but in general they do a good job. Not sure there's a better place in Astoria for cookies. Hopefully it'll stay that way! The cookies are always hot, fresh, and I feel you get a substantial amount for the price. These cookies are definitely not flat or thin. I have tried many of the flavors and they are always consistent. Personal favorites are the regular Chocolate Chip and Nutella Sea Salt. They do sell out as the day wears on so get here early and be prepared to wait a few minutes while flavors are replenished with fresh cookies out of the oven. I was hesitant to try this place because I thought $3.50 for a cookie was a lot. Well I walked in and saw the Smores cookie and right away I wanted to try it. What got me to walk in in the first place was the delicious smell of cookies baking. Anyway, I got the smores cookie and was hooked after just one bite.
