I'm not one to usually write reviews but I don't think I've had a positive experience at this location. Every time I go there has been some kind of issue, whether it's catering or not having enough change something is wrong. Today I wanted to try their new brisket, first the price isn't listed anywhere. Then the employee gave me 1.5 scoops when I asked for double. When it came time to pay and the total was $20 for barely any food the person checking me out asked the employee for the portion size she gave me where she proceeded to lie and acted like she gave me way more food than she did. I told them they could open the bowl and they ended up giving me more brisket because it was truly deserved. If you really want chipotle go here but the difference in portion sizes between employees is astronomical. read more

STAY AWAY. Something is really wrong with this location. It is clearly not managed well and it's been that way for years. At least half the time multiple main ingredients are completely missing or improperly prepared. Employees are poorly trained and unprofessional -- it is clear that they all hate working here and are completely unconcerned about helping you. Making matters worse, customer service on the phone refused to refund my order after i was served an absolutely disgusting burrito here, and also refused to transfer me to a supervisor after I begged for him to do so multiple times. This is probably the worst Chipotle I've ever visited. I have submitted multiple complaints to multiple teams at Chipotle and there has been absolutely zero change in the workers attitude, care and literal respect. I once placed an online order and they were out of many of the food options I asked for on the app, so they chose to give me a completely different meal than attempt to contact me or cancel my order. Then, I tried placing a catering order and to my surprise as I went to pick it up at my scheduled time, the store was temporarily closed - not giving me any heads up before and caused me to spend 10x the money on food for my guests. If your restaurant is closed, it is extremely unprofessional and overall deceitful to allow someone to place an order or keep their order that was placed two days in advance. The staff are fine, no issues there. I went in to get crispy tacos. They said they didn't have them. No big deal. I ordered a bowl and was going to get chips. Get the the check out and she says I can't buy chips. WHAT? . There were two large bins of chips sitting behind her. She said those are for the online orders??? I then talked to a manager, He said they are for catering orders, we can't sell you chips. Not that they were out, or that there was a shortage, but that catering and online orders are the priority and You Can't Have Chips. The checkout counter had a piece of chicken, some cheese, rice, lettuce, etc that look like it had been spilled from several different orders over a period of time and had been there for a while. I've no idea what I like so much about Chipotle. It's another burrito joint and its quite similar to all the rest ("Subway for burritos," as I used to explain to people when I worked for Moe's years ago). Perhaps it is because this place is across the street from Qdoba and the ingredients are higher quality/more flavorful? Or maybe they've just managed to get the burrito joint formula down. Whatever, I'm a big fan of Chipotle. The prices are great, the portions quite good, and food always satisfying. I'm vegan so my burritos always look pretty much the same (sort of by necessity) but I don't even mind because it's always awesome. So, you know, it's not La Fiesta Mexican or Mexican Village (Mexican-town), but it's a good, quick meal that is reliable and even potentially, theoretically healthy (*note: that's really a factor of personal choices, there). The only real downside is the tight and fairly difficult parking lot. Make sure you've got your banana peel, folks, because you might need to spin someone out to get in here if it's during a lunch/dinner rush. That being said, it's worth the trouble. read more

Chipotle is generally consistent with food taste and quality and speedy service. However, this specific location on Washtenaw Ave has been consistently slow in service and the food watered down and not fresh. Today, I arrived at 11am to pick up a prepaid mobile order that was estimated to be ready at 11:10. The restaurant, with posted hours of operation beginning at 10:45, was locked and employees were still prepping inside. When the doors opened at 11:05, they hadn't printed the slip to begin preparing mobile orders. In fact, that list wasn't printed until 11:25. The employees seemed to not care, did not smile. Did not welcome patrons, and did not offer any apologies for the slow and late service. It's now 11:30, and I'm still waiting on my order that was to be ready 20 mins ago. If I hadn't used the mobile app and already prepaid, I would've walked out and never returned. I respect and understand the challenges facing restaurants post-COVID, but the fact that everything across the board, from quality to speed of service to friendliness of staff are lacking here make me question why I considered this location over the Briarwood one, when that one has never disappointed. read more
