Wish I could give ZERO STARS!! First off, I went to this place about 3 weeks ago and there wasn't much of a line, but it took close to 15 minuets before I could order. Then once I got to the front of the line, I asked for a "bowl with a tortilla on the side" and they ended up making it a burrito. Then I asked for a "small little dab of guacamole, to see if I would like it for the future visits" and they put a giant scoop and said "it will cost extra" (after putting it on the 'bowl') then I told them I didn't want that much and they said "we can't take it off without remaking your order." After this happened, they forced me to pay for stuff I didn't want. I also got chips and the bag legit had 7-8 chips in it. Coming back after a couple months was a little disappointing the same friendly faces I have gotten used to has seemed to vanish, and the service my last visit was disappointing. It seems a couple of the employees on the line were having a hard day or just maybe lack propper customer service skills. the money I spend on my lunch I could do without the attitude. My burrito was good for the most part just odd portions too much of one thing not enough of the other, on the bright side the guacamole was delicious! But the mild and corn salsa seem to be lacking favor which was disappointing aswell. I'd like to give them another try soon maybe next time I will come in contact with friendlier faces. FINALLY, some new food offerings at the Outlets!! Tried this new location last night and had a great experience! Line was long, but moved fast! As my food moved down the line of various workers, they each asked me if everything looked good before they passed it along. I especially appreciated one worker in particular (I wish they had name tags so I could give a shout out) who suggested I wait a few seconds since they were chopping up a fresh batch of chicken behind him versus just using the meat that was already sitting in the bin. It's been a long time since I had chipotle, the portions had got better, the reason why I'm giving three stars to this location is for the fact that the store was beyond dirty and unsupervised, I had to clean my own table, and clearly they were over staff but not well managed. I've always loved Chipotle and was super excited to have one in Camarillo. My experience at this one has been fairly positive so I'm not sure why the reviews are so low... It may be because I've gone earlier than rush hour times? Lines are short around 11:30am and 5:30pm - right before lunch and dinner so I never have to wait that long. Today I was in and out within 5 minutes! Also they were generous with their portions when asked. So that was good! And of course always get guacamole on my burrito bowl. Staff could be friendlier - for example, the girl and the register didn't say thank you or anything and handed my receipt to me and my bag. That could be better. They clearly post a sign about the lack of carnitas on the front door due to a shortage, which is fine. They have Barbacoa and steak which are tasty too! We have eaten at this location before and had a great experience, but sad to say, tonight was not. Ordered online and within five minutes got a call to say they were out of guacamole, what??!! They said they could put avocados on our food, but no guacamole......well ok then. Got there at the time the website said our food would be ready, and it was not. Let me start off by saying this Chipotle has the blandest ingredients, out of all the Chipotle's I've been to. The rice tastes like water and cilantro, there was no lime/lemon as other Chipotle's , the chicken was the only thing with flavor because it was too spicy. The corn salsa and sour cream was disappointing. The beans look like they just fell out the can with no cooking, because they were hard and flavorless. Got a burrito bowl to-go last night around 7:30. I got guac on my bowl, which ended up being a big mistake. I think someone spilt the salt in the guac and just didnt say anything. I like salt, but it was so overwhelmingly salty! Couldn't even enjoy my food because the guac covered my bowl and all I literally tasted was salt. read more

I sent someone to buy me two bowls earlier today. When he got back he said they barely put any ingredients on his and mine. I got a chicken bowl and only got like 6 pieces of chicken in it. I usually get it in the afternoon and I usually get my bowl at least full. I love Chipotle. However, having said that, this Chipotle never seems to have enough options. I have gone in on several occasions and the Carnitas have not been available. They are located at the Camarillo Premium Outlet Mall so I would think they would be better prepared for a high customer volume. I have been to 3 different Chipoltes and everyone seems to have the same experience for me: 1. they strategically put Chipolte in places that are super hard to park - the Camarillo one is no exception, limited parking and a hard to navigate lot. 2. the ordering routine seems to always make me feel stupid, maybe I am too used to Taco bell or regular Mexican places, or maybe I just don't want 10,000 choices, more likely I am just lazy and just want to walk up and say "Taco and Burrito please" - what I have found is that I just play really dumb and say I know nothing- But I always feel like people are looking at me like I am idiot 3. This is getting a bit personal, but all 3 times the day after I have had Chipolte I have some sort of stomach issue -could be coincidence, I am married to a Mexican and my stomach can handle authentic Mexican food - 4. The green salsa has always been good - really the best part of it - I order one to go, and take it home and used on food at home Lastly - the food wasn't bad, the bean and cheese burrito was a bit "oily" for some reason but tasted good. read more

What makes me mad is the cleanliness and seeing employees on break in the restaurant while the line builds and tables dont get cleaned. Seriously, when you have a line of customers with 2-3 employees sitting there eating i want to walk out! Then when i get my food i want a clean table. Tried this location three different times with no luck. It doesnt taste like a burrito from Chipotle should to me, very bland. I'm a huge chipotle fan I have the app and go about every week. I'm in town shopping with my family and we decided to grab lunch here because we can never go wrong with chipotle but wow this place was such a disappointment because of their staff. The girl with glasses and a braid was incredibly rude. I understand they have rules to follow about how much meat they can serve but when I feel robbed that I'm not getting enough I always ask for a little more and she very rudely said that is enough. Even though it wasn't a full scoop and a couple pieces fall off on the counter. NEVER have I ever had a chipotle employee say this to me in all the years I've been a loyal customer. My family was shocked on how she spoke to me. She needs to be retrained. I can see why this place has horrible reviews. I can't believe chipotle will allow this type of customer service. You don't need to be extra cheery but please don't be rude. My friend and I party were trying to give our cards to pay because each one of us wanted to cover the bill. Nice Chipotle location. It's adjacent to the Camarillo Outlets. This is where I and tons of other people refuel after all the walking and shopping in this area. I really enjoy the food from Chipotle so the ONE star is not because of the food. The ONE star is due to UNPROFESSIONALISM of people who work there. We came for an early lunch this past saturday and everyone working seemed like it was their first day. We ordered a bowl with a tortilla on the side --- the girl who wrapped the tortilla in foil took sooooo long and it looked as if she was struggling. The worse part was the person who rang us up --- her name was Avery she said our total was $13.33. Right off the bat I knew that amount was wrong. How could a bowl roughly $7 plus guac and chips roughly $3 = $13.33??? Even if you add tax, it shouldn't be that much. I quickly stopped her and she said "No, thats correct". She insisted it was correct and charged the card. All i was waiting for was her to print me the receipt so I could see what went wrong. Right after she charged the card, then she asked, "Oh, there wasn't guac in the bowl?". That was where she messed up. She then had to call someone over to refund us the $2.10. THE WHOLE TIME this happened, she did NOT even look at us or apologize or acknowledge she was wrong. She was GIGGLING and LAUGHING and completely ignoring us as if we were not human. The food had an odd taste, I think it might have been the grilled veggies but with it all mixed together it was hard to tell. My husband's burrito without the veggies tasted fine. The workers are not friendly and seen to hate their job. They will ignored you if you're there for a online pickup. No "hello or I'll be right with you". I stood for a good 10 mins before I was acknowledged, the cashier was busy helping other customer but still you need to acknowledge the online order customer, It's common courtesy. Food is sloppy and is slopped on with such great portion the tortilla can't even closes without it busting open. You guys are very generous on the portion but it's messy and very hard to eat . This place is usually pretty good but on Saturday between 3-4pm, that would be 1/25/2020, I got stuck with the stingiest female worker ever! I asked for a burrito and when I asked her for carne asada, she put the smallest amount I've ever received there! I even asked her, is that all the meat you're going to put in my burrito? She replies " I can give you a little more", and get's one small piece and puts it in my burrito. This was the case with everything, the rice, the beans.... the end result was the shortest smallest burrito I have ever purchased at this location, and I came very close to rejecting it. I ordered a quesadilla and when I was paying they told me to wait to the side and that my quesadilla would be right out. I then had to watch and hear a worker ask the cashier, the server, and another worker who was just passing by if they could cut my quesadilla because she was busy. They all said no, which is fine but why do it so loud when I'm right there? I had to hear basically that she didn't want to prepare my food and others didn't either. So I got fed up and just told the original worker that it didn't need to be cut I could just take it how it is. She then seems a little embarrassed and says "okay" but then stops what she's doing and then cuts it. By this time two people that were behind me have paid already. I then hear a worker from the line say very loudly "I wonder why today we've been getting such rude customers" I don't know if this was about me or not but either way- not a good thing to hear staff talk badly about customers, especially when there is still a line of people waiting. I don't think I will come to this location again, but if you just care about food and not service, this location should be just fine. You'd think because of COVID they'd be doing their best to keep their line moving but they told me to wait by the register which was not a good distance from others in line. read more

This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. The staff members are unfriendly, extremely slow, frequently hold side conversations and don't know what they're doing. The chips are unsalted and chewy. Each time I've gone, I've ended up with a soggy burrito since they don't drain the tomato salsa and just slosh the water into your food. Today we ordered food online so we wouldn't have to go through the line and the entire order was messed up. This location is pretty Meh. I can't quite put my finger on exactly why but every time I come here it's something distasteful about the overall experience, this last time the chips were pretty stale. The flavor here is also pretty bland. I know a friend who used to work at a chipotle and he said the amount of seasoning and the way they cook everything can sometimes vary greatly from location to location. I think this one of the not so great chipotle locations. I know that I went to the one in Oxnard and the food tasted way better.
