Good food, nice staff but they we're even close to getting my order right. I don't normally order the kids' meal, so they sent the quesedilla I asked for down the line, and at the register when I repeated I wanted the kids meal, the register lady did a second take and said then they need to get me my kids' sides. Then I asked for chips and guacamole, just to go home and find chips but no guacamole (good thing she didn't charge for the guac). We stopped coming to this Chipotle due to wait and quality. This week, we tried it twice and both were poor experiences. I did an online order on Saturday evening and my order was lost. I finally got my food 30 minutes late. They were swamped, and the kids were trying, but the restaurant was poorly managed. Last night we ordered online. When we brought the food home, there was hardly any rice, the toppings were cold and there were chunks of stuff in the Queso. I think they scrapped the bottom of the Queso pot. It was disgusting. Such a bummer to pick up your order to bring it back to the kids only to have it full of food your kid won't eat that you did not order. Not sure why I keep giving them chance after chance. Let me start by saying that Gabriela was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I've visited the Railroad Ave store in Danville yesterday, January 17, 2020. Out of all the Chipotle I've visited in many years, she is far the WORST person I even encounter for a very long in my life. This is NOT what I envisioned for the founding of Chipotle. I'm sure that she been trained to provide customer good customer service. So this is what happened, I walked in around 11:02 am and went to her directly as she was the cashier. There were 2 people in-line while the poor guy rushing to complete customers orders in front of him. Normally, I see two people working together to help customers moving after all this rush hour for people taking lunch. Gabriela was just standing there and asked her that I have a picked up. I gave her the name and went to the busy guy working his butt off and that was that and didn't even bother to tell me anything...so I waited and 5 minutes later, I went to check on my order and she told me that it's in-line...WTF does she mean by that??? She is not busy and the guy working alone rushing and working why can't she prep my order herself. This is a fucking WEB order... She is not doing anything...so I waited again and at 11:12, I said and informed her that I been waiting and she yelled that their promise time is 11:15 for pick-up? Are you fucking kidding me? Do I deserve that kind a treatment, I don't think so. All I want was the food that was paid for and leave. She doesn't need to give me a bad service and lecture me. So finally, 11:16, she called me and gave me my order. I can sense her hostility and giving me the dirty look. So uncomfortable. The turning point of this review is her bad attitude. You know people lie when they know they did something wrong to others. Before I left, I ask for her name, and she was mumbling and said, Jenna. Pretty disappointing experience today. I used to always come to this location and the food and service used to be great... I came back after a year or so, and everything had gone downhill. I ordered a simple chicken burrito, and it was a sh*t show. Everything was SO slow and chaotic with about 3 employees hiding in the back? A lady behind me with two kids had to leave because it was taking too long and they had online school or something. They then tried to charge me over $11 for just the burrito and I asked why, and apparently they tried to charge me for guac when I clearly didn't get any and they were about to re-open the package burrito... What. The tortilla and rice were both stale and hard, burrito HORRIBLY wrapped, everything nearly fell out when I opened it. And a table outside of the restaurant was trashed. Overall, this is very disappointing for a restaurant to have such low standards in such a high trafficked and expensive area. I ordered on line for 4 of us and paid on line (5/25/21). Once I got to the store they said they do not have an order with that name and completely ignored me. I am standing in the store and asked them what should I be doing then since my credit card was charged by $33. Again I was ignored (as if I am eventually getting tired and leave them alone). Finally a woman employee (extremely rude) ask me for the proof. I provided the order confirmation number and a copy of the order on my phone. She looks at the proof on my phone and says it happens. we do not have your order. Eventually after about 20 minutes back and fort she says rudely "stay behind the line and order again". New Chipotle locations are popping up all over the place and the newest local one is in Danville in the Trader Joe's shopping center which also means parking will be a little difficult. This location is tiny. There is very little seating inside and for the seating that there is, if you are sitting, you might find yourself hovering over your food to ensure if anyone in line sneezes, there is no contamination. We attempted to use the IPHONE app and it gave us a 45 minute wait time when it was just after 5pm on a Monday night. No thanks. A quick drive over and we were out the door in less than 15 (no line to wait in). Sadly, our order though prepared the way we asked for it was on the chintzy side portion wise. In reality, it was more than enough food, but when one location (SR) loads up a bowl, salad or taco and other locations (the newer ones-Lafayette, Danville) give you skimpy portions for the same price it makes one wonder what the actual standard is supposed to be. Not a big fan of this location. Don't come here often, but when I do it's crampt and usually workers who don't really seem like they want to be there. The lady making my meal made me feel like she was inconvenienced by my "o can you add brown rice.. Black beans too.. My wife and I want a side of guac". Just seemed really poorly staffed. I only use my Yelp to post positive reviews to help businesses as I am aware of how it can hurt them. However tonight that will change because I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant. Me and my family got bowls and they had a 1/4 of the usual food with no meat on any. We also all order gauc and we're charged for it however didn't receive any. After waiting an hour and a half we got cold food we were not late we were waiting. There was about 20 other people inside waiting for their food as well. I will never eat here again and I will be getting a refund. If I could give 0 stars I would because this establishment is terrible. I love Chipotle's food and have always rated them five stars. This Chipotle loses points for being stingy with their product. I eat at Chipotle's all the time so I know exactly how much rice, beans, meat, and guacamole there should be in the bowl and exactly how full it should be when it's done. This location shorted us on every part of our bowls, starting with the rice, and ending with an embarrassingly small amount of guacamole. In the past, I've never been able to finish all the food in the bowl, and whenever I get close my stomach is always so full it almost hurts. Here, I finished the entire bowl and was thinking about going next door to get Tutti Frutti for dessert. Now, don't get me wrong. The food I DID receive was just as tasty as any Chipotle location anywhere, there just wasn't as much of it. Either this is intentional on the part of management and they are trying to make an extra buck off our backs, or they just haven't bothered to train the people operating on the line properly. Rant over. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and the hand dryer in the women's bathroom is almost strong enough to blow you across the room. Just kidding, but it does get your hands dry very quickly. This is the smallest Chipotle I've ever been to, but there wasn't much of a line at 2:30 in the afternoon, so there was plenty of room for everyone. There are two tall tables with bar stool seating and four normal height tables inside. This store has the least friendly and most inept employees of any Chipotle I've been to. And they are consistent... over the last 4 years, I have maybe walked away with my order being correct a small handful of times. They don't answer their phones, forcing you to go to the restaurant in person to get help- the opposite of what many smart people want to do in a pandemic (go to additional public areas that are unnecessary). The worst combination of services would be this store with Doordash. My chipotle meal came an hour late last night, despite living about 7 minutes away. The crispy taco shells were soft, the salad was a few pieces of spinach with some beans dumped on, and no dressing (no joke- I did not even order it like that). When I tried to have the doordash driver help me out (no chips either), doordash and the driver were unresponsive. No one answered at Chipotle and I had to go there in person. There were at least 12-15 people in and out(barely distancing) in the store and 9 people waiting outside crowding the door. I stood in front of the employees with my shit salad and receipt- which would prove that whatever they put in my container was not what I ordered. They IGNORED MY PRESENCE FOR 20 minutes before rudely acknowledging me, telling me I'd have to wait an additional 20 to get another salad. It was already 7:15 at night. I ordered my food at 5:45. I wasn't going to wait another freaking 20 minutes for a mediocre salad. Your employees may be overworked and overwhelmed. If they are burned out and not providing good service, it impacts them, your business and the community. Clearly, your Danville store's ratings are deplorable... one would think something would have changed by now after all this negative reviews. Either way, I'm no longer a customer. Besides, if anyone wants a copycat Chipotle sofritas recipe, I have one that is ten times better than the original chipotle- and it will be made fresh. read more

Not coming back to this Chipotle. I love chipotle as much as the next person but this visit changed my outlook on this wonderful chain. Staff was impersonal, not friendly at all even though I asked them how they were doing with a smile. But the part I'm really complaining about is the chicken in my bowl. I bit on a very hard piece that I am sure was some kind of bone or ligament. Disgusting and now my left side of my mouth hurts from biting down on it. After that I decided to be careful with the chicken pieces but still had hope. Then I found 2-3 more pieces of weird chicken but this time they were just fatty pieces or abnormally chewy. I always viewed Chipotle to have very fresh food and maybe it is but the chicken pieces led me to hand pick out every last piece of chicken and chuck it to the trash. I am a little sad, as I have been a supporter of Chipotle for many years, even through their recent crisis. I went into the store and there wasn't much of a line, which was nice. I ordered a burrito bowl with steak, corn, cheese and sour cream. I bought a bag of chips and had a soda (I normally avoid the sodas, but once and a while I go for one). I sat down to eat and right away I noticed something wrong with the steak, it wasn't cooked all the way. It was chewy and cold. After half a dozen bites I was worried and stopped eating the steak. Everything else was as expected. It saddens me as it has turned me off Chipotle and will be sometime before I head back there. Advice: If you order something from this location and its cold and it should be hot/warm give it back, don't risk getting sick. read more

Food is consistently good. I find it gross that food handlers with beards wear no hair nets and use their shoulders to rub that sweaty beard over food, almost makes me want to walk out. What's the use of gloves if you handle a bunch of card board or trash then back to touching my burrito? Hand sink should be closer to promote more hand washing. Visited 10/20 today and line was 9-10 deep. Within 10 minutes it doubled. Just want to say the big white kid that is really nice and always smiling is a rock star employee, I wish I knew his name. What I witnessed was the MRB (meat rice beans) guy kept moving into the SCL (salsa cheese lettuce) position that was manned by the nice big white kid. The MRB even went all the way to grab chips while the cashier just stood there. Now if MRB just stuck to his job and let SCL do his job your line would have moved, instead it got worse and worse and more online orders stacked up. MRB created a massive slowdown because he wasn't loading up the assembly line. Just an observation while in stood there for 20 minutes. Cashier, useless, old man food prep guy useless in this situation, didn't even go get more wraps when they ran out.. Though Cessy is gone and has moved to Livermore Chipotle, Jaime has absolutely stepped up as GM to continue to WoW me with this branch. The staff here is super friendly, and NEVER stingy. When I ask for "extra", they make sure to ask me if I it was enough. This place needs more credit than what the reviews are giving it.
