    Chicken cobb salad
    Motoko D.

I had a chicken cobb salad for $14. The portion was huge, enough for two. It came with a white chocolate cookie. The lake view is so nice. I wish this place was opened on weekends!

$12 for a tri-tip, big portion with 2 sides. Nice. great place to have lunch beside the lake and enjoy the sun. staffs are friendly and quick service.

A-Ok lunch. Still love what they have to offer and the location is great. Staff and service is super friendly. Only down side was my steak was over cooked. Out of all the Roundhouse restaurants, this one is my favorite. Feels fresh and the complimentary cookie is a sweet treat!

I'm shocked at how good this place was. It's tucked in by the Bishop Ranch Lake, at the "Roundhouse". I've walked by many times, but finally came to try today! It's always very busy inside around lunchtime, as employees are on their lunch breaks. Cool that regular passerby can dine in/to go too! There's a huge amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, you'll always find a seat. Ordering process is pretty simple- order at the register, then show your receipt and pay when they call out your name. Our order took less than 5 minutes to prepare. The prices are amazing (for San Ramon, at least). We ordered a tri-tip salad and a tri-tip plate with broccoli and potatoes, with both meals being $12 each. The portion size is very large, and it's plated very gourmet, with a free cookie. The tri-tip was good, but pretty plain. Didn't bother me too much, I enjoyed mine with mustard, and the plate came with a yummy sauce. They didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, and it was pretty inconsistent. My salad's meat was mainly well-done, whereas the plate was more medium. Overall super impressed! The workers were all super nice, the meal was satisfying, and I couldn't be happier with the price and portion size. I'll be back to try the sandwiches!

Steak Plate comes with roasted potatoes and arugula

I've been eating here every day for lunch this summer, and I am still impressed that the Steak Plate is under $10. It definitely tasted like it was more. Most days the steak is cooked to a perfect medium rare. Other days it is over cooked. Overall, it's more hits than misses. I've tried the Teriyaki Chicken plate as well as their Burger, and it's also a hit or miss. Ask for your burger bun toasted and it will taste a million times better. My friends enjoy the Tomato Bisque side soup, while I like the homemade potato chips or roasted potatoes. I find the salad sides too bitter to be enjoyable. The weekly specials are also a huge hit or miss for me. Some weeks I can't even eat it, while other weeks I can't get enough. All in all, Bishop Farms is overall the best choice in Roundhouse Cafe, but inconsistent quality!

The BR1 location just opened yesterday 07/17/19 and their "system" is down. Can't even get a morning coffee. Two thumbs way down.

Which by the way , at this time their Happy Hour is Sun through Fri 3-6pm Overall experience was good, the food was great, the service was mehhh. Pros: - food consistently delicious. My daughter went back to the car to wrap in a scarf - took over 10 minutes before our server greeted us - server wasn't very hospitable or friendly (blond curly ponytail)

It's like high end middle of the mall food that's way overpriced. For the steak I got (New York) I get it exactly how I want from my local butcher, organic, grass fed, and can guarantee it will be cooked right, but hey that's what eating out is all about nowdays right? The sides were all mids, hard to mess up Brussels sprouts so those were as expected, the twice baked potato has waterey, and the fires were on the line of couldnt tell if they were frozen, or just some midsy potatoes. When I eat out I expect the whole experience. 3 people at $600 I expect a 4 everytime. The only thing worth it was the service. Didn't get her name but the young lady who served us was very attentive and got us everything we asked for, and was so sweet when my wife couldn't decide to on her desert to comp us the one she was battling over. All the deserts were dry and mids. The almond cake needed to be eaten with gulps of water and the cheese cake was just weird. The drinks were nice and an easy 4/5 and I'd recommend the one I was drinking with myself a mezcal and pineapple, not sure whey everyone else was drinking but they like them too. Finally I'll bring up my son's meal. He's 3. He's only been to 2 places where he didn't eat the fries and burger. This was the 2nd. All in all I'd go again if someone invited me and I didn't have to pay. That's all this place is worth. Pretty sad because steak houses are pretty easy. We've been to hundreds of them around the world and it's sad to see someone mess it up as bad as this place did.

"Wow, fantastic venue, fantastic beer selection!"…read more It's been quite a while since I've patronized this restaurant and I had to give it another try. We came early Sunday afternoon. Parking is easy and there's plenty of spaces for a disabled person in a wheelchair. Our server, Alex, was especially professional and courteous. She really made this a good meal for us. She was helpful in ordering suggestions and came back often to check on us. A+ service! On a beautiful, cool winter afternoon, my wife and I sat in the dining room; my wife ordered the taco plate and I ordered the pear pomegranate salad. Both were promptly served up and were absolutely delicious. Naturally, I had to order a beer. I ordered the award-winning Brown ale. Absolutely fantastic! Don't tell anyone, but they only charge $6 for pints. Thank you for the great service and great menu. Now if you could only bring back the hops growing on the wall everything would be perfect.

I got the green jacket burger which was a cheeseburger piled high with crispy onion straws, bacon and an ipa bbq sauce. I opted for the spicy sauce that had a nice kick to it! I paired it with their lager beer (since they don't have Coors light) and it made a great lunch paired with some crispy fries!

Amazing and solid American restaurant…read more The ambiance is that of a nice steak house, design is subtle yet elegant. The service is on point, all of the staff is fully engaged, it feels like a 5-star hotel type of attentiveness. Manila clams - plenty of clams, the sauce is rich from the cuttings of porcherta , but it's well balanced and just delicious Halibut - the fish was cooked perfectly crispy, I would be happy getting any fish dish here. Sunday Prime Rib - also perfectly cooked, nice and juicy, the fixings were also just right. Chocolate Banana cream pie - not too sweet, really a pleasant dessert In my opinion, all of the food here is just solid and very good. I don't really have any complaints. My take is that if you're looking for a good food, nice service and a chill atmosphere, this is the place. There's nothing flashy or catchy here, just a solid experience! EZ 5/5 stars!

When my friend and I shared a plate, he made his disapproval known. I'm happy to pay a split fee. Just don't make me feel judged for it -- especially when the table ordered plenty of wine/cocktails, entrees, desserts, sides, and bottled water. Speaking of which: I asked for still, bottled water. He brought tap. When I followed up, he arrived with a single small Aqua Panna -- tap glasses still on the table. When I pointed out one bottle wasn't enough for our party, he dropped two more without pouring any of them. We now had twelve glasses of water crowding the table and not one filled -- except for the tap. That pattern held all night. Empty wine glasses, cocktail glasses, dirty plates -- nothing was ever proactively cleared. Everything required asking. Repeatedly. He also cleared across guests rather than walking around the table. Basic. But the most serious issue: at the start of dinner, he asked about allergies. One guest clearly stated a walnut and pecan allergy. He then brought out a dessert containing pecans. That's not an oversight. That's a liability. We tipped generously anyway... But it wasn't earned tonight. Esin has always been a place I look forward to when I'm back in town. Tonight was a real disappointment.
