Turkeys outside my office building--they were showing off!
    cami c.

Pleasantly surprised since the yelp reviews weren't spectacular and it's been a while since a recent one was posted for this establishment. I went for a sandwich because this store is right next to my new office and I can quickly walk to it. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. The board said it came with tomato, spinach, cheese and that's about it. So I was expecting chunked roasted chicken breast mixed with pesto. What I got was deli-meat chicken breast slices on sourdough bread, panini style. Ok, so I could have asked about the chicken. I tend to avoid processed meats. But when the box was handed to me and it was warm on this very cold day, and I was ok with whatever was inside. (I didn't look until I got back to my desk.) The choice of bread was perfect, the pesto mayo was delicious, I don't know what kind of cheese they used, maybe Jack, maybe havarti? It was a good combo. Lots of spinach so I felt a little healthy eating it. The tomato was red but lacking flavor. Still, I enjoyed this sandwich and was happy with the service as well. Friendly folks who whipped up my sandwich quickly, but with care. I also had a small almond milk latte that was tasty--and a bag of chips. $20 bucks lighter, but those are the prices these days. I'll be back--want to try the soups. Oh, and if you can stay, there are cozy places to sit inside, and on a warmer day, lots of spaces outside by the fountain as well.

    Chicken cobb salad

I had a chicken cobb salad for $14. The portion was huge, enough for two. It came with a white chocolate cookie. The lake view is so nice. I wish this place was opened on weekends!

$12 for a tri-tip, big portion with 2 sides. Nice. great place to have lunch beside the lake and enjoy the sun. staffs are friendly and quick service.

A-Ok lunch. Still love what they have to offer and the location is great. Staff and service is super friendly. Only down side was my steak was over cooked. Out of all the Roundhouse restaurants, this one is my favorite. Feels fresh and the complimentary cookie is a sweet treat!

I'm shocked at how good this place was. It's tucked in by the Bishop Ranch Lake, at the "Roundhouse". I've walked by many times, but finally came to try today! It's always very busy inside around lunchtime, as employees are on their lunch breaks. Cool that regular passerby can dine in/to go too! There's a huge amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, you'll always find a seat. Ordering process is pretty simple- order at the register, then show your receipt and pay when they call out your name. Our order took less than 5 minutes to prepare. The prices are amazing (for San Ramon, at least). We ordered a tri-tip salad and a tri-tip plate with broccoli and potatoes, with both meals being $12 each. The portion size is very large, and it's plated very gourmet, with a free cookie. The tri-tip was good, but pretty plain. Didn't bother me too much, I enjoyed mine with mustard, and the plate came with a yummy sauce. They didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, and it was pretty inconsistent. My salad's meat was mainly well-done, whereas the plate was more medium. Overall super impressed! The workers were all super nice, the meal was satisfying, and I couldn't be happier with the price and portion size. I'll be back to try the sandwiches!

Steak Plate comes with roasted potatoes and arugula

I've been eating here every day for lunch this summer, and I am still impressed that the Steak Plate is under $10. It definitely tasted like it was more. Most days the steak is cooked to a perfect medium rare. Other days it is over cooked. Overall, it's more hits than misses. I've tried the Teriyaki Chicken plate as well as their Burger, and it's also a hit or miss. Ask for your burger bun toasted and it will taste a million times better. My friends enjoy the Tomato Bisque side soup, while I like the homemade potato chips or roasted potatoes. I find the salad sides too bitter to be enjoyable. The weekly specials are also a huge hit or miss for me. Some weeks I can't even eat it, while other weeks I can't get enough. All in all, Bishop Farms is overall the best choice in Roundhouse Cafe, but inconsistent quality!

The BR1 location just opened yesterday 07/17/19 and their "system" is down. Can't even get a morning coffee. Two thumbs way down.

We were seated quickly outside. It was such a nice evening out and not cold. There were heat lamps too if needed. Our server was Toni. She was amazing and took care of us! She was super sweet and friendly! Excellent service. We ordered the streak frites, fish of the day which was a salmon and risotto, Paloma and lemon meringue. Steak frites was cooked perfectly! It was a hanger steak so it was soft and tender. Fries were crispy and it came with an arugula side salad. Dressing was lemony. Toni was so nice and even found us something similar to chimichurri sauce. The fish of the day was a salmon with risotto. It was cooked medium. Not over cooked and nice and flakey. Risotto was really good and lemony. The lemon meringue was probably one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. It came with a raspberry compote. The meringue was sooo soft and whipped and came with a delicious graham cracker crust. We even asked if they sold the pie as a whole but unfortunately they don't. Loved this spot! Will def be back. It looks like our new local dinner and dessert spot!

When my friend and I shared a plate, he made his disapproval known. I'm happy to pay a split fee. Just don't make me feel judged for it -- especially when the table ordered plenty of wine/cocktails, entrees, desserts, sides, and bottled water. Speaking of which: I asked for still, bottled water. He brought tap. When I followed up, he arrived with a single small Aqua Panna -- tap glasses still on the table. When I pointed out one bottle wasn't enough for our party, he dropped two more without pouring any of them. We now had twelve glasses of water crowding the table and not one filled -- except for the tap. That pattern held all night. Empty wine glasses, cocktail glasses, dirty plates -- nothing was ever proactively cleared. Everything required asking. Repeatedly. He also cleared across guests rather than walking around the table. Basic. But the most serious issue: at the start of dinner, he asked about allergies. One guest clearly stated a walnut and pecan allergy. He then brought out a dessert containing pecans. That's not an oversight. That's a liability. We tipped generously anyway... But it wasn't earned tonight. Esin has always been a place I look forward to when I'm back in town. Tonight was a real disappointment.

So we sat in the patio which had fans and nice plants which shaded well. Felt like sitting a garden and was cool. Poor server also spilled water all over me but I was thankfully wearing shorts so it was okay. Food was great though! We ordered a Sedona chicken sandwich with garlic fries and chicken picatta. Sandwich was kinda like a grilled chicken burger. The thicken breast was moist and fries were crispy and tasty. Chicken picatta was delicious and perfectly mixed with mashed potatoes, spinach, capers. The chicken wasn't dry. Pear martini was the best. I would come here just for this drink. I think they home make the syrup. Old fashioned was good but a little sweet.

This theatre also doesn't have as many movies showing as the large stand alone theatres. My main complaint is that this theatre is messy and dirty inside. Every time I have gone there is trash in the restrooms, trash in the seats, sticky seats, stick cupholders etc. It is probably a combination of patrons leaving trash everywhere / not cleaning up after themselves / not enough staff to clean / not cleaning thoroughly enough between guests.
