First thing I need to say about this Chipotle location is that the food is very fresh and tasty. And if you're hungry you can ask them to double the chicken or double the meat and add more toppings like cheese or guacamole or sour cream and so on. As long as you watch the food preparer's and make sure you're getting enough food, you will definitely get a good portion and be full when you leave. Now here's the reason for the three stars. The layout of this location is anything but comfortable. The tables to sit at are all packed together in a small space. They actually have a long table right next to the line that forms for food. I have no idea how people can eat there with people in line staring at them 2 feet away. What few tables they have in a okay spot away from the line usually have squatters sitting there saving them for people that just got in line. It's not uncommon for us to have to sit at an oddly shaped communal table with strangers in order to eat the food. You may just want to take your food home and eat it there. The food preparer's are young but they try to do a good job and it's up to you to watch them to make sure they're giving you enough food in your salad bowl or burrito. The takeaways for this place is that the food is fresh and delicious and consistent but the amount of space to sit and dine in is very cramped and perhaps the worst dining layout I have ever seen in a restaurant. read more

I think this place is new - so I guess that explains the service here. Maybe the staff is still being trained- here's what I liked and didn't like: 1. I did like the set up and I thought it was pretty spacious . 2. ( "I didn't like")The lead guy who you first talk to when you order was rushing our order- and he didn't look like he wanted to be there. I understand people need jobs and he probably didn't want to be working at chipotle as his ideal job- but whatever the reason you're in a industry where you should be at least amicable with the customer .... So I guess all I ask for is less rushing of the customer and maybe smile when you greet the customer. Do not waste your time coming to this location. On 2 separate occasions, my burrito broke while they were making it, so they slapped an extra tortilla on it which I don't want. First off, I would like to say I made an account with Yelp solely to leave this review. I am not one to complain or leave bad reviews (this is my first) because I've worked in the industry and understand that places have their days. I am only writing this review in hopes that the owner of this location comes across it and sees how poorly it is ran. Every time I've been here since the online only ordering has been in effect, I've had a complaint about my bowl. It's either half way or three quarters of the way full and one ingredient is always barely there. Today, it seemed that only a half scoop of rice was added and my bowl was freezing cold. The rice container must have been empty and rather than grabbing a new container they chose to be lazy since the patron isn't in front of them watching them make it. I also always ask for the vinaigrette dressing and this location has NEVER had it available. I even go as far as asking them if they can make it (because every other location offers to make it when they run out) and I either get a flat no or they say they don't have the ingredients to do so. How is it that any other Chipotle has the dressing readily available and this location seems to have never heard of it? To me, it again sounds like pure laziness. If there isn't a supervisor on duty I highly recommend getting one who watches over all the online orders that go out. If there is a supervisor in place they desperately need to get retrained because this location seems to be ran by children. read more

I am a person who has eaten way too much Chipotle in their lifetime, so I've been to my fair share of Chipotle locations since they first started appearing. Their food is so delicious, convenient, and can be healthy depending on what you order. Their guac is incredible, and best of all, they have excellent vegan options like sofritas! Now that I live in the Freehold area, this has become my new Chipotle home base. I have been to this location twice in the past month and both were negative experiences. 1st visit: The line moved slowly, but I am a patient person and understand that quality food takes time. Since there was a good 15 minute wait until I was able to start my order, I had the displeasure of listening to the banter of the staff. There was one woman who was talking down to other employees in a condescending tone. She talked to one team member like they were a child, explaining step by step how to dump lettuce into a pan. She would yell "That's not how you're supposed to do it" and huff and puff. I'm all for helping out your team mates, but I could see how uncomfortable the other employees felt and it was in front of all the guests. I felt bad for the rest of the staff. I feel this location needs to take more care with recruiting and create an outlet for employees to voice concerns that management may not be aware of unless they read the yelp review of a concerned fatty like me. I genuinely hope that person was not the manager. Anyway, I finally got my order started, but when I asked for guac they told me they were out. I'm not sure if there is a standard for this at Chipotle locations, but in the past they would have a sign on the door. Hey, no biggie. Life is still good and I'm grateful I can eat Chipotle whenever I want. It would have been nice to know beforehand so I could have went to Moe's, but again, no biggie. I stopped at Bubbakoos on the way home and got myself a nice large guac to enjoy with my Chipotle :) 2nd visit (last night): The line was longer than the previous visit but it actually moved pretty quickly. The greeter at the front was pleasant and personable :) The employee I mentioned previously was not working on this shift. While waiting on line, I saw a sign for new cauliflower rice! Of course I did a quick google search to verify that it's vegan (it is!) and was excited to try it. When it was time to start my order, I said I would like to order a bowl with cauliflower rice. The associate spooned a tiny portion, no bigger than 2 tablespoons worth, into the bowl. Now I'm not one to ask employees to do something they shouldn't do, or ask for more of something, or even freebies, but I've had more boyfriends in my lifetime than I had grains of cauliflower rice in that bowl, for real.. I looked at the small goup of rice, was about to suck it up and move on to beans, but I mustered up the courage and asked for a little bit more rice. The associate inserted just the tip of the spoon into the cauliflower rice, and put a quarter sized portion in the bowl. Still, more boyfriends than cauliflower rice. Whatevs, my life is still good. I'm not one to let something like this get me down or to give the employee a hard time about my need to gorge myself. Maybe that tiny portion is standard and I'm just out of the loop. We moved down the line, they were out of mild salsa, not a big deal. I also ordered chips and guac. The cashier rung me up for $17 and change. I thought that was quite pricey for a bowl, chips, and guac. I paid with my credit card, but decided to ask why it was so expensive (Yes I know guac is extra). I asked her if the cauliflower rice cost extra. She replied that it's $2 extra and they should have told me that when I ordered it. I mean, I would probably still order it if I knew it was extra, but damn.. They barely gave me anything and it cost $2 extra?? I asked if it was possible to spoon a little bit of brown rice into the bowl, just so I can stuff my face like I'm used to, and hate myself after I eat the entire thing plus a bag of chips. She was nice enough to spoon some into the bowl. So I get home and sit down to eat in front of the television like a good American. Remember, I haven't tried their guac before since they were out of it the last time. I took one bite and it tasted off. Like, way off. It was bland and tasted like soap. There definitely wasn't any salt in it, maybe no lime juice. It was actually pretty bad.. I can't say I have ever had bad guac at Chipotle.. It's the one thing they're pretty consistent with throughout each location.. I honestly couldn't even eat it, and trust me, that is not like me.. The rest of the food was fine. I couldn't even taste the cauliflower rice. I don't know if it was due to being mixed with everything or because it had no flavor, but I definitely didn't notice it. TL;DR - This location needs to put bigger focuses on recruiting, how to communicate effectively as a team, and how to follow the Chipotle guac recipe! read more

If we could give this place zero stars, we would. We placed a mobile order. When we got there at the appointed time, but they hadn't even started our order. They got the mobile orders wrong for the two customers ahead of us. Then they got our order wrong too. They left out two ingredients in my wife's meal. They also left the chicken out of my chicken burrito - it had no chicken at all. The employees get a printed slip listing all of the ingredients on mobile orders, so the employees have everything that they need right in front of them. Ordered here and received no utensils. My wife's vehicle was being serviced so we were at a disadvantage because of this. We Called in and was hung up on by the manager Brian (who was shown in the photo yelling at people) so my wife and I decided to stop in. Upon entering we were charged saying stop stay 6 feet away which could have been mentioned through a large sign outside of the door instead of wild employee behavior. We received a argument and poor customer service because of their misconception of a complete order being told Brian was in the back and Liz not knowing what his last name was. We were told a refund would be issued and it was not along with Brian literally laughing in our faces. Being a manager includes professionalism which was not displayed her at all. It is truly unbelievable how inept this restaurant is after a full year of this pandemic. How could they not have a system that works yet?... I went to this location a few months ago and it took forever. They weren't taking any online orders so the line was very slow moving. I decided I wouldn't go back until I could place an online order. Yesterday, they were accepting online orders, so I figured they had it all figured out... My order pick up time was 7:15, which was about 45 minutes after I placed the order... okay, not terrible for a Friday evening... When I arrived, there were roughly 15-18 people inside the restaurant waiting... There were people in there that were supposed to pick their orders up at 6:30... Not much social distancing with so many people in a small space waiting for orders they had already paid for. The staff was bringing orders out at a pace of 1 every several minutes... Eventually, one of the employees came out to show people how to go online to cancel their orders... Again, how could their system be so broken a year after the pandemic started? Why haven't they figured it out yet? They were making orders for my pickup time, so I decided to wait it out. So now my order was supposed to be ready, so where is it...? An employee came over to help me find it. It was placed in the A-F section... My first name starts with T and my last name starts with S... Finally... I get home and 2 orders of guacamole are missing, which is $5, and an order of chips, plus the kid's chips... Needless to say, I won't be back! read more

First, I would like to point out that I get four ingredients in my chipotle orders. four. chicken, brown rice, sour cream and cheese. every time I come to the FREEHOLD location, my food is always messed up someway somehow. First, upon entrance a worker says to me "sorry we closed early for the night" keep in mind about 2 weeks ago I came here, paid for my food through the app, arrived on my short lunch break for work and they closed early for the day that day too. nothing on the app stating they closed , I literally PAID for my food. anyway, I tell this man I placed an order online he then allows me inside. This used to be my favorite lunch spot to go eat it I got it almost every weekend but yesterday It disappointed me I went there and got a bowl with double steak and chicken with black beans and the white rice with tomato lettuce cheese and guacamole and a watermelon limonade and my grandpa got the same thing as me but he got to drink a root beer then we went home to eat it and to me It did not taste like its normal delight taste it tasted a little funny and almost like if it had a cemicle when I finished it my stomach started hurting and I did not feel like eating for the rest of the day and because of that today I had to miss school although service was good I will not go there for a while maby in a couple of weeks or even moths I will give them another chance but am very disappointed. read more

Honestly, Chipotle is a very simple business but this store repeatedly has found new ways to make it complicated. From the first time I entered the store until now, each time they have been out of something essential to an average Chipotle order. I understand if it is the end of the night and its been a busy day but I've been to this establishment double digit times and it is simply unacceptable. I've been in line from start to finish and have overheard them tell around 20 people they are out of something for them to just put it out later. For example, I heard them tell a customer they were out of steak (uncooked too) and then 10 minutes later start cooking it on the grill. The lines are not handled well either. I've stood in front of the line worker for ten minutes while they filled out online orders while the line piles up behind me on multiple occasions.
