Just picked up dinner from here and am very upset with the service. I get chipotle quite often and have never experienced something quite like this. There was a lady in front of me who had quite a few orders but was pretty organized with it. The man fixing the orders was VERY rude and condescending towards her. I took it as he was stressed with the amount of orders but when it was my turn to order he was the same way towards me. I asked for a tortilla on the side and he took one that had been sitting to the side for awhile, reheated it and then proceeded to throw it down the line to the cashier. Everything he put in my bowl was majorly sloppy not just in my bowl but around it. He was also very condescending towards me and treated me like I was 12 and didn't know how to order. I'm very displeased with the customer service I received tonight and will no longer be getting chipotle from this location. read more

Honestly just the most disappointing place ever. Never have ingredients but I understand supply chain issues. What I don't understand is randomly closing whenever they please, not indicating that they're out of certain things, and just being the laziest saddest group of people you've ever laid your eyes on. If they force you to order online they will not accept a gift card, when asked what to do they replied "try a different location". Oh, also don't count on your online order being ready when you arrive. They're too busy standing around staring at each other trying to come up with a cohesive sentence. I get this Chipotle once a week. They're on the generous side in terms of how much of each ingredient they give you. Occasionally I get a bag of slightly undercooked chips, but otherwise it's always a solid visit/delivery. read more

This Chipotle in my opinion has mastered the flavor and taste of Chipotle's recipes. They get an A+ there. They get an F at order consistency. If I eat in, my meal is usually flawless & plentiful because I'm telling them what to do. If you order via Door Dash or for Mobile pickup, 95% of the time the order is wrong or missing something I've asked/paid for (like chips/salsa or vinaigrette for your salad ). I'm Vegetarian, most of my meals are salads with beans & veggies. When I order for pickup/delivery, the bowls are literally so empty that I can see the bottom of the bowl. I'm adding plenty of items to bulk it up, however it's always very skimp and no where near worth the $8 price tag. I'm not getting meat so please stop being stingy with the lettuce. The only reason I still patronize this location is because it's close to my office & the flavor is pretty decent. You guys have to do better. 2 visits per meal to retrieve items you've missed is unacceptable. read more

Went there a couple of weeks ago only to find out they are only accepting online orders. Ok.... Tonight I had a craving for steak burrito, so I order online. According to everything online they close at ten. I complete my order at 8:45. My pickup time is 9. I got there at 8:55 to find the doors are locked. I knock until an employee comes to the door and tells me they close at 8:50. He says I have to get my refund through the app. Seems like they're trying to go out of business. I had no clue what I wanted to eat for lunch today. Chipotle popped into my head. I get there and stand in line. It is long like it usually is. My coworkers happened to be in front of me. They shared that the long line was for people waiting for a new batch of chicken. I decided to get steak instead. Bad decision. It was very fatty and I ended up spitting most of the meat out. I am a regular at all chipotles, but today, I ventured out of my box and tried the sofrita instead of my usual chicken salad. It was pretty darn good for tofu. Im not a vegan, nor do i normally try anything made of tofu.. But this surprised me with the seasonings and everything it was really good. Ate here a few times before. It was a convenient location for me so I kept coming back even though was not impressed by the indifference of the staff. Today felt compelled to write a review as I noticed some positive changes. Will start with the negative. I know it's close to 6 pm and they busy but something needs to be done about it. There are lots of tables and chairs that need to be cleaned and no one seems to care. Would only take a couple of minutes and would make it a lot easier for the customers. As to what's good, the food is fresh and tasty, everyone at the counter super friendly and although it's kind of busy and they are not that fast, I can tell they are doing the best they can. Anyway, I'd rather wait and see everyone smile than have them be fast but rude. Oh, yeah, I always order sofrita salad with spicy sauce, brown rice and guacamole. Love it! This is a nice Chipotle in the VCC area. In my experience, the food is consistent at almost all Richmond area Chipotles, and this location is no different. They have an outdoor patio, which provides much needed seating because the interior of the restaurant doesn't have much seating compared to other locations. This location gets extremely busy at lunch and dinner, with lines frequently all the way to the door! The North Richmond/Mechanicsville area could easily support another location, maybe two! read more

Stopped by this location last night (because the location on staples mill was out of chicken and steak at 7pm, but that's another story) only to be told by worker that they were only accepting online orders... ? So, the people who drive all the way to your location, and walk in you turn away.. but the food delivery people and such you accept? I suppose I could have sat there in their dirty dining area, ordered on my phone and waited... OR they could just have facilitated the order immediately, either way your making a taco, right? I've been to this Chipotle several times now, and every time I get a burrito, the person making it has spilled/leaked sauce when folding/wrapping it. As a result, my burrito is always wet on the outside after I unwrap the aluminum foil. If you don't like having to eat wet burritos, then I suggest going to a different Chipotle that does a better job of avoiding this mistake. read more

Wow - worst chipotle I've ever been to. First person to help me didn't even ask what I'd like, they just stared at me and moved slower than a sloth. Second person moved even slower at a lunch rush hour, and didn't say a word to me or look at me. Last person was mumbling and whispering, and when I asked politely for her to repeat herself, she gave me sass, signed and walked away from her place in the line... causing it to go even slower & my order to be messed up. Not one employee looked like they wanted to be there, or half awake- that wouldn't have bothered me if they were at least somewhat fast and motivated to get the long line moving. This is about the poor service I have seen in recent weeks at this location. Let me say I think the food quality has always been great - we are fans of Chipotle and will be back - at other branches. I noticed that the portions were getting smaller over the weeks, and last night it was ridiculous. My wife and I both got the rice bowls, she likes the chicken and I enjoy the barbacoa. The portions of meat were ridiculously small. When she asked for a little more to be added, we were told that would count as "double meat" and cost extra. We are not big eaters, and have never had portion size issues anywhere before. The position that the server behind the counter took was unreal - almost combative - as she glared at us. Never experienced anything like this before at a Richmond fast food place. We walked out of the restaurant and probably will not return to this location. I plan to call them today and speak to the manager so we'll see where that goes. read more

First time - i ordered a salad, and it was all rice. 2nd time I ordered and it was 30 minutes late (so I waited roughly an hour for my order) 3rd time, I ordered online, got a confirmation for 30 - 45 minute, the driver even texted me that they were at the location and it was busy but they would deliver asap. 2.5 HOURS LATER I STILL DIDNT HAVE MY ORDER!!! This is the absolute worst experience that I have had at a restaurant. The website said the dining room was open, of course it wasn't. Okay still not a problem I ordered on the app as they told me but somehow I mistakenly ordered at the massaponax location. Ok well I can accept that. I'm not going there to get food on a Friday in traffic, but I can accept that somehow I made an error. I asked the associates could I somehow swap the order for their location since I had already paid. They said no. Okay so I called the massaponax store and they saw no reason why they couldn't do that but we tried to do the online refund. Which didn't work. Now massaponax store is helping me, not this VCC store. We tried and tried. So now it's about 6:33. The massaponax store says just come tomorrow and we will fix your food then. I go on the app to reorder from this store I am at and the gentleman says he wouldnt do that if he were me because they take their last online order at 6:40 and I would never make it. Which means you have about 20 min to complete an order and you can't smh. After they see me rushing there after work in my mechanic uniform after a long day and I'm trying to buy double now they have proven that they just didn't want to help me. I have NEVER written a review about any place in my life but I guarantee you this is the WORST customer service ever. I ordered a burrito bowl for pickup. Nothing too complicated. I ordered brown rice, I received white rice. I ordered black beans, there were no black beans. I ordered sour cream on the side, the sour cream was in the bowl. I ordered extra lettuce, I received scant lettuce. I double checked the receipt on the bag, and it was my order. I double checked my order in the app, and confirmed that I ordered what I thought I did. I am usually not one to post reviews, and if there had just been one issue, I would not be posting. But my order was very wrong. Almost laughably wrong. It has turned me off to ordering chipotle through the app. And given the current situation, that means I will not be getting chipotle for some time. read more

I eat here most days for lunch. Normally the staff is decent. Today however I was waiting my turn and noticed that the person right in front of me got a generous scoop of Chicken, the person serving the line put in the scoop and then added a few extra pieces. When it came to my turn I got not a full scoop and I asked the young lady if she would give me a little bit more chicken because I didn't get a full scoop. So she deadpan looks me in the eyes and said I'm going to charge you you for that... So I leave... plenty of other places to eat. and there is always tomorrow. This chipotle absolutely sucks. SO many times I will check online to see if they're open, and then when I get there, I see a piece of paper taped to the door saying "we've decided to close today"...if i try to call before i waste my time driving over there, they don't pick up....so being able to even walk into this building is a gamble. If you get lucky, and they happen to be open, you'll run the risk of waiting in a killer line only to hear they are out of some vital ingredient. Like rice. I once waited in a 20+ minute line with my friends, and once we got up to the ordering point, they asked what I wanted, I said "a bowl with white rice please" and they said "oh, we are actually out of rice" ...as if they didn't realize they were running out of rice until everyone waiting got to that point. And there was no shout out to everyone walking in or waiting, "by the way, we are out of ALL rice". My friend said "well I don't want rice anyway, I'll have a salad bowl with chicken"...then they said "oh we are out of chicken too". At that point it would have been easier for them to just tell us what they DID have and maybe we could make up some kind of meal. read more
