When my sister opened the wrapper for her 3 tacos, she found a huge black bug running a marathon around the lettuce. So disappointing! We had to throw away all of the items. I contacted their chat support because they don't answer the phone at this location. Support asked me for my order information, and I sent all of that over. I didn't get a response until today, 6/25, notifying me that they were going to refund $13.05 for the tacos. Mind you, they only responded because I threatened to chargeback the whole amount. No surprise here that I'm alongside a massive amount of shitty reviews, with my own shitty review. I'm not a fan of Chipotle. But ok, it's my mom's favorite food ever, especially this location. So my family and I drive from Concord to meet her for Mother's Day lunch. Over an hour drive. The menu frustrates me, because unless you've been here before, it's not user friendly. They show quesadillas online, no quesadillas on the store menu. My husband takes a shot and ordered a steak quesadilla. Ok cool, no issue. I order the same just to be easy. My son orders the same. Mom and daughter order burrito bowls. 5 drinks. 1 bag of chips. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. I'm like. What. The. FCK?! $100? I'm looking around to see if I'm on MTV Punk'd. Turns out I'm not. I'm gonna throw this place a bone and say they're trying because we ordered 2 burritos in person and they were larger than I was expecting based on the reviews. Yes, the burritos were wide and not wrapped super tight but they were the right length. Yes, I had a couple of bay leaves in my burrito but my husbands was fine. Yes there were 2 pieces of the very end of the romaine lettuce but some people like that part --I don't lol However aside from that and expecting far worse the burritos were generous and I loved that the sour cream wasn't just a tiny dollop. I could actually taste it throughout the burrito. They are a hot mess when it comes to supplies though as they seemed to be out of many meats. Again though, I'm hopeful because the people working there were nice and they are trying. Ohhh and their chips were on point as I have had bad stale chips at other spots like rubbery soggy chips and the manager tried to tell me when they put the lime on the chips it gets like that smh read more

I made several more revisits to Chipotle since my previous 4 Star review as they deserved a second chance after I gave them a dismal 1 star review over a year or so ago. I am pleased with the rebound and the improvement in attitude and proficiency of the employees. The last couple of visits the server asked me if I was satisfied with the food she prepared. It looked good and filling and I told it looked really good to. Sometime feedback, either way can be really helpful. It's how we make things or ourselves better. Good job Chipotle in Lathrop. If I could give this business a negative 0 I would. I place an order for three crispy tacos with white rice, fajita vegetables, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and carne Asada. I also asked for tomato salsa on the side. I placed this order online for drive-through pick up. when I arrive at the pick up window I was given my order and I drove off. Halfway home something told me to look at my order once I did, I realize that I was given some thing that I did not order, I went back to chipotle and was advised that the reason I did not get what I ordered was because they were out of most of it. They were out of crispy taco shells, fajita vegetables, lettuce, and Tomato salsa. so what I received was soft shell tacos with carne asada, cheese, and sour cream, I asked to speak to a manager because I was a little upset that I was not informed that they did not have what I ordered when I arrive to pick up my order. When the manager came to the window she had gloves on that was covered in food. She proceeded to talk to me with a smirk on her face. She did not take my concerns serious. All she did was told me that I need to call their 800 number to get a refund and walked away. If this is the level of incompetency that this establishment holds high I will never be back to chipotle again. And the food was cold. read more

Before writing this, I read through many of the reviews that have already been posted. It's a shame that a restaurant chain, that otherwise has such a great reputation for delicious food, has to have its name soiled by THIS location. Lathrop is still a relatively new city, and we are still waiting for more businesses to show up here. Chipotle was a restaurant that was very promising when we heard it was coming. But since opening, this location has been more negative than positive, and the disappointments have been so great, that it really makes me question why I keep going back. What prompted me to write this review is my last visit on Monday, August 28. I went in about 9:30 PM to pick up dinner for me and my wife. This location is notorious for either running out of ingredients, or just not cooking anymore because they are getting ready to close, even though closing time is supposed to be 11 PM, so at that point, I figured that I still have at least an hour before the food quality should suffer (otherwise, why are you even open?). I really wanted some Chipotle and had hoped that this night would be different. I wanted to get a bowl with the following: Rice, Beans, Chicken, Fajita Veggies, Sour Cream, and Cheese. I wanted some mild and medium salsas in separate cups. And that is where the problems began. First, they were out of veggies and sour cream (they are almost always out of veggies, or they are half cooked). Then they prepared the food on counters that were not wiped clean. I don't want the previous customer's food remnants mixed in with mine and/or hanging off my bowl. Then when they got my salsas, they didn't have lids for the cups, so they got the bright idea to cover the cups with foil. When I got my order home, the salsa cups were not sealed very well, and so salsa had leaked out into the bag and all over the bowls and napkins. I really tried to enjoy my food, but all in all, one thing after another contributed to yet another horrible experience with this place. All the while, I had to deal with visible frustration from the workers over my requests. When I asked them to wipe the area they were preparing my food in, the worker huffed and acted as if she was begrudgingly doing it. Requests for if and when missing ingredients would be provided were met with "we don't have any more for tonight". But there's still an hour and a half to go! And I wasn't even offered a discount for missing ingredients that they had plenty of time to prepare and sell. If your offering is food prepared the way I want it, and I'm paying good money for it, then I expect to be given what I ask for with professionalism. In the end, I'm really disappointed that the management and ownership here are not training their coworkers properly. There seems to be no consequences for the bad service at this place. Furthermore, food quality at one chain restaurant should be the same as all the others. If you are consistently running out of food, why not order more? At this point, I really do think it's a good idea for Chipotle's corporate offices to step in, shut this place down, and do a complete overhaul of the training and methods, and reevaluate management. I've never had horrible experiences at any other Chipotle like I've had at this one. read more

Had to wait an additional 30 minutes past the "promised" time then was told they were "preparing" my order and had to wait at the window an additional 5 minutes. The bag was soggy and the food was COLD. Not sure what they were "preparing" because it sure seams my food had been prepared a very long time ago. Food: guac tastes bad; chips-stale. Burrito bowl--hard to find the minuscule amount of meat in the pile of rice. I guess that would be ok if I'm carb loading but I'm not. Tried going to the site on the receipt to give feedback but can't do that unless I adjust my settings to allow cookies. Not going to happen. Looks like they need an entire management overall. Just like many other reviews, this Chipotle is definitely a hit or miss. I very rarely end up with the correct order. I don't write bad reviews unless I've had a bad experience for more than 3 times. They forgot to add rice in my bowl twice before, forgot to add lettuce once, and most of the time the portions are far less than standard. Today, I ordered their new plant-based chorizo. It tasted like seasoned, soggy cardboard. They forgot to add rice once again, there wasn't even a standard portion of lettuce -- had to say it was about a few pieces, you could easily mistaken it as a garnish. It was also very watery at the bottom, which I'm assuming it the chorizo. This is probably the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. Their work is done so poorly. I would give 1 star, but I'll give 2 for effort. read more

Terrible customer service from ashley. Ordered today and an ingredient I asked for was not ready. I asked the employee (ashley) who clearly hates her job and had a terrible attitude how long until the item was ready, she said we don't have any ( fajita veggies ). I said ok how long until some will be ready and she simply said " I don't know". I finally told her to go ask another employee then. The item took only 3 minutes to cook and they clearly were never told by ashley it was even out as the cook had no clue. Then informed her I needed a side of guacamole and had a reward for it. She said I don't deal with rewards ask the cashier. So I told the cashier who the told ashlie I needed a side of guacamole and she needed to get it. Ashley just had a terrible attitude and seemed to just not care about customer service or any attempt at doing her job decently. I did contact Chipotle corporate who said they would be dealing with her ( lol sure ) and I know the Custer ahead of me was doing the same after receiving 3 empty tortillas when he ordered tacos lol. Can confirm everything else previous reviewers have said. Service is sooooo slow, particularly for app orders! Many employees are rude (but not all - I'll update with name of a few who share smiles). Currently sitting in the drive through line behind 1 car for 15 mins. They should have the car holding everyone else up park and come back when the order is ready. Instead I'm about to park & go in to even be acknowledged. Ambiance is gross... Last time we came EVERY SINGLE TABLE was dirty and when we asked for a wipe down, there was still gunks of dried on food after she wiped it. This location in Manteca is always out of something specially, during the times you really want them to have something lunchtime dinner time and usually an hour before closing it's really empty and the food preparation area. I have tried several times to order on DoorDash and the food when you have it for pick up never gets prepared the orders don't really go through or there's some other excuse that we get when you order to pick up when you order the delivery, the price is 2 to 3 times more than what is it cost, when you go inside or pick up of chipotles other areas outside of Manteca seem to have way better service and food preparation and the portions are normal and Manteca the portion are very low or they short you on one thing and not the other so it's not consistent read more

They seldom look at you, don't smile, minimally acknowledge you, and several just stood there talking to each other (we were there at 12:10 on a Wednesday). The bathrooms were DISGUSTING - smelled heavily of urine, with puddles on the floor, and empty TP. The dining room trash can, all 4 slots and all marked landfill ‍, was overflowing so I ended just setting my salad bowl nearby. This is a managerial and training issue, and really makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the place, like the kitchen.
