This Chipotle probably has skimpiest portions of all the Chipotles I've been to and chips never have any seasoning.

I usually have a good experience at the Chipotle near my job, however today, I'm visiting family in Pinole. Nice big space, a lot of seats open today. I walked up to the counter when it was my turn, I waited to explain my order, and while I'm asking for the type of meat I wanted. Steak vs chicken. Looking down into the glass case the meat the server began to just pour whatever steak meat there, mind you there is steak and cilantro steak. (Cilantro steak looked fresh) so I ask the server, oh can have the one with cilantro and he continued to keep building the bowl without even hearing my request. I overall feel like the team could have exerted their customer service skills a lot better. Listen to the customer and what we want to eat. We brought the food home to our children, in which my daughter's bowl looked like it was a kids meal! We have to do better! read more

How disappointing! Chipotle needs to train on consistency! I ordered 2 bowls and a burrito all with white rice and pinto beans. I commented that the pinto beans needed to be refilled but she insisted on scooping until she got the very last bean. 6 scoops to get enough to put on the burrito which was made last. My daughter wanted to try the carnitas. I looked at the metal bin and I see dried carnitas in the corners of the container. And that's it. I ask; 'Will you be putting out fresh carnitas?' She peeks over at the container and says very matter of factly...'no!' So my daughter switched to chicken. Then the attendant puts a quarter of a spoonful of rice on my hubs burrito. I had to ask for a full spoonful (why do I have to ask?). Then she puts a quarter of a spoon (can't even try to call it a spoonful) of brisket, I am not exaggerating. I said 'really? Can you add more?' I too got brisket for my bowl which she made before the burrito and it was a legit spoonful Sour cream was empty. No biggie but with at least 6 employees working (that I could see) way isn't everything filled?? I pay and leave. I then look at my receipt which is typically $52 but, it was $61.19. SAY WHHHHHATTTT?!?! I was charged for DOUBLE meat. A bowl costs $15.25 Extra brisket (I didn't even get full brisket with the first scoop) was $8.35. The 'extra' scoop cost more than HALF the entire bowl. WTF!!!! What a shame. Shame on you chipotle. You should be ashamed of yourself!!!! So disappointed!!! read more

I already gave a feedback with chipotle. I am doing yelp bcoz i want to know if other customers also have an experience with the store manager. We went 3/30 in store, i was in line to order and customer before me ordered a steak bowl. The manager put the meat in the bowl, put back the meat in the container and replace the meat with a smaller one. I remember her since she helped us before, she rations the serving really bad. It was our turn to be helped and as expected she put very little in our bowl, i asked for a little bit more, well it seemed she did not hear my request. I dont have this issue with el cerrito and richmond pkwy. I guess next time we visit and she is the one doing the order, will skip it. read more

It has been a while since I have been to this location. There was nothing that drew me here. If I rated this restaurant for their Mexicana food, at best I might give them three stars, which would be generous. There is a plethora of excellent restaurants near me that are family-owned and serve delicious food. When I decided that my meal was a salad, my opinion changed, it now is a solid 3 stars. I took home a bowl to share; it was enough for two people. I chose asada as the protein and added just about everything as I moved my way towards the cash register. When I got home I put a vinaigrette on it and became a great salad. I especially like the taste of cilantro rice, the corn salsa, and guacamole. I usually order on the chipotle app for delivery, and when I lived in a different city (hence ordered from a different chipotle location) I never had any problems with receiving the correct order, always satisfied. The two times I ordered through the delivery app from this location, order always had something wrong with it. I decided to dine in this time. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl, around 7:30 pm. Most of the portions seemed really small for the sides and meat, and when I asked for some more they just said they "were out". It felt like they were avoiding getting a new container/batch. Upon paying, the register "froze" and the cashier explained it would be a few minutes to restart it. I had also asked for cilantro which they ignored. I stood there at the register with the manager and cashier staring at the register screen for 10 min while the line behind me just got longer and everyone was waiting to pay next to me. No apologies or explanation from the staff. I asked again for cilantro, and for chipotle Tabasco after another customer asked for it (and got a bottle) and the employee just said "we're out". I always use that hot sauce every time I eat my chipotle and it just was not the same without it. Even the guacamole cup was only 3/4 full. Again, I've never had this unsatisfactory of an experience. An hour before closing they start cleaning up, swishing soap and water all over while they are serving customers. It's a huge turn off and unappealing. They also take the food out of the warmers while they are doing this which makes the food cold and is probably a health/food handling violation. Also, the toppings are always cross-contaminated; Cheese in the guac, chicken and veggies in the Barbacoa, sour cream in the hot sauce. I'm done with this place. It's just gross. read more

I wanted to give this place one star but the cashier who helped us was really nice. My husband and I decided to walk in and order since last time we completed an online order it was completely RUINED. We thought after 4 years maybe Chipotle has gotten better but no. When we asked for the carne asada bowl we noticed an employee was overseeing the server. The server only put 5 pieces of carne asada into 3 of the 4 bowls we asked for. My husband and I looked at each other snd compared it to the chicken bowl which had a good amount of chicken on there. My husband was counting the carne asada pieces and asked, "do you think we can get more meat? That's barely anything..." I then asked, "would that be an extra charge?" The server looked at us like we just made the most obscene request in the whole world and looked at the employee and the employee told him to add more. My question was not answered and they proceeded to serve us. Then when we got to the cashier, we were told we owes $95 for 4 bowls! Excuse me!!?? I asked the cashier if we were charged extra for the meat and apparently we were. My husband and I were shocked and even me using the Chipotle rewards didn't being it down by much. I was horrified by the price and by the lack of an answer since the employee was coaching the server. Chipotle has once again left me with a horrible experience. The worst Chipotle. Not only did they not give me a full scoop of protein, I asked for a double scoop at an extra charge and they STILL only gave me a 1/2 scoop. I overpaid and I'm extremely disappointed. I got 3 entries and had to ask for double scoop on each at $5.25 each. You could imagine how expensive it was JUST to have 1 full scoop of protein. The staff was okay, not very happy when I had to ask for double protein in all entrees after seeing them only putting 1/2 a scoop. I've been coming to this Chipotle since it opened and it's gone completely downhill since about 2014. The food is never consistent, especially the white rice and guacamole. The rice will be perfect one day, the next day it will be extremely hard. Same with the guac, the taste is never consistent and some days you can tell they forgot to add certain ingredients. The service is alright depending on what time you go. But since it's a fast food joint I don't expect 10/10 customer service, you get what you pay for. Playing "will Chipotle in Pinole be good today?" is a game a lot of us locals are tired of playing. I recommend Chipotle in Martinez. read more

So this is the updated post and the rating is based on my coming back to chipotle because I said I wasn't going to patron this particular location anymore a while ago. I order my food for Pick Up pay $13 and some change for a burrito that is a small as my hand, my hand is as small as a third grader hand. I always check my food prior to leaving any establishment. The young lady tell me this is what I ordered. I told her yes you're right these are the ingredients that I ordered. However this is not 13 nearly $14 worth of food therefore they're gonna need to remake it, she gave me an attitude as well as one of the other ladies there was a gentleman he gave me a name by Kenneth that understood where I was coming from and what I was saying and he remade my burrito for me so I do appreciate the customer service that Ken provided on today however, scamming people chipotle people is not OKand then to give them an attitude it's even worse read more

This is the only one close to me, and I've tried to give them so many chances but this location is horrible... im so confused by my last experience that I have to write my first review. I got a burrito and when I got to the end I asked if they could "mix it up".. I always do this, every time I've ever been to any chipotle. Just so they mix the ingredients and you don't get one full bite of beans, rice, etc. The guy said no I can't do that. I was so confused and just assumed he didn't em understand what I was asking so I explained. He still said no. I asked him why, what do you mean you can't mix it up? He said he doesn't have a tool for that and I laughed, honestly thought he was joking. I said they usually use a fork, or the top of the small cup lids, or sometimes they don't use anything and just mix it. He told me no, he can't do that. On top of the tiny portions, and them being out of brisket which is why I went in anyways.. I told him I'm sorry I'm just gonna go. Never done that in my life anywhere. I'm still so confused by this interaction lol I wanted to edit to add that this place always always has poor customer service. I was in about 2 months ago and the line was 15 people long. I haven't visited this location in awhile and it wasn't as nice as I remember. For one it was dirty and not well stocked. The assembly counter was extremely dirty food smeared and spilled everywhere. The utensil and drink area were also low stocked. Only one of the four napkin dispensers had napkins which where just stuffed in there because they were upside down and falling out. Now for service the customer isn't the priority if they need to discuss who is closing the store that night, that takes precedence over everything. One male employee I'm not sure if he was the manger or not, but kept interrupting the employees who were working the line to discuss what time they showed up and who was closing its was rather annoying. He was also a lot older than the other employees so to see his lack in basic customer service was disappointing because he clearly wasn't setting forth any example. read more

We really try here ... have ordered food in person mostly, because the order ahead or delivery is a fail. Today .... The bowl was filled with rice pudding instead of rice. One of the best parts about Chipotle is the rice , and the ability to heat the food up later for leftovers. There's always a stand off tension about how much protein we get when we pay for extra at this location. Not sure why this location really doesn't do the right thing ... as in remaking rice when it isn't correct ... Over 40 bucks for this food. We give up. read more
