Pretty good! I came for lunch with friends. They weren't too busy. Food came out fresh and hot. I would definitely come again if I'm craving Mexican food. I noticed there's a fancy looking private area on the back that they can block off for parties. I think I would consider that for future gatherings with large group. read more

I came in here for a quick snack and drink after getting a tattoo. The watermelon tajin margarita was delicious and only 11 bucks, which these days is a steal. This is one of those spots that provides free chips and salsa which im always stoked about, (and they keep bringing more you if you want more). I also ordered a side of guacamole which rounded out the drink and snack so nicely. Also service was excellent, very friendly staff. read more

They remodeled and it looks nicer. But after a remodel, you know what that means? Higher food prices. I got my regular taco salad and it was half the size from what it used to be and about $3 or so more. Typically, it would fill the bottom of the container and I would not be able to finish even half the taco salad. This time around, it was half the size of the container bottom and I ate most of it. I would understand if the portion remained the same or even slightly larger with increased prices. But for the significantly reduced size and increase price, not a chance! Disappointed to say the least. Probably won't be ordering another taco salad from here. read more

Had the Chicken Fajitas for lunch and it was ok. Everything could have used more seasoning. All the flavors just seemed flat, from the salsas, the chicken to the rice and beans. I really opted for the fajitas because it came with Homemade Flour Tortillas. Much to my disappointment, what I got was definitely store bought. Service was standard, server was friendly and the food came out quickly. They probably deserve a mid 3 star review but can't justify rounding up to 4. If my co-workers want to go there for lunch again, I'd be willing to give them another shot. read more

A GOOD local Mexican food spot is always necessary! I'll admit that MOST of the dishes I've tried have a more Americanized taste, BUT my go to is the enchiladas verdes WITH CARNITAS! The shredded chicken is good, but the carnitas are always full of flavor and a little crispy the way that I like. Not the biggest fan of the tacos here, just because I'm more of a street taco girl, but the enchiladas never disappoint. I definitely recommend the mango margarita on the rocks and the guacamole is super fresh. I love the neighborhood feel of this place and the friendly staff. The ambiance is very casual with a colorful, home feel. If you're looking for something quick, in the neighborhood, and tasty, this is the spot. read more

We've tried Los Cerros a few times since my review of five years ago, and I'm updating my score because our meals have been consistently good. The atmosphere here is delightful with bright colors and tiles, and when you want a restaurant feel vs fast food, it's a nice spot. Our shrimp tacos today were oh so good, with a nice spice and grilled to perfection. They used catfish for the fish tacos, which is not our favorite as we prefer tilapia or cod, but they were still tasty. Service is always great! Friendly and fast. read more

We always come here, at least once or twice a month. We are always happy with our service, and the food quality is always consistent and very good. Everything I've ordered has been good, but recently I've been getting the steak super burrito, wet with green sauce. It's one of the best burritos I've had at any restaurant. The enchiladas Verdes, fajitas, and quesadillas are also good. My husband switches it up, too, but usually goes with a combo that includes a chile relleno. Enchiladas weren't very good. I blame the red sauce. It didn't taste that great and they poured so much of it on, that the entire thing was just swimming and soggy. The rice was also mushy and not well seasoned. The refried beans were normal. Tried to eat as much as I could because I was hungry but threw away half the dish. I brought my almost 80yo uncle here for the first time. He ordered the combo with a soft taco beef, and one enchilada chicken. He said the beef taco and chicken enchilada were full of flavor, with just the right level of spice for his palette. He enjoyed the rice and beans as well. I ordered my usual enchilada rojas plate, but being that I had the gastric sleeve surgery, my food lasts me a few meals. I'm always worried that I offend the staff by asking for a box for a nearly full plate of food. The owner was present on this day and was very attentive, as was the staff. Not a terrible place to eat at if you got something else preferably. Got a bean cheese and avocado burrito and I got an onion in my beans for some reason in a few different bites ? ¡Ay Dios mío! Where to begin! Stopped by on a Friday after reading all the good reviews. My bf and I are always craving Mexican food so we were excited and hungry when we got there. We were seated right away. Great! We got our menus and began to browse through. When we were seated they brought us some chips and salsa. However, the salsa was JUST tomato sauce. Strange. It was a bit disappointing as we were expecting something more spicier or at most something that tasted like salsa. It honestly tasted like cocktail sauce. We were also super surprised to see that they only had a few drink options. My bf being such a big IPA drinker was sad to see they had no options, only three kinds of beers. He settled on a corona and I got just a water. When they brought the corona they brought out a bottle which was different from what we are used to. Usually it's on tap or they bring it in a cup so the taste is better but they did bring us a cup after we asked so that was nice. We waited 45 minutes (honestly could have been more) for our food. They kept on coming by to apologize for the wait but the food would be out soon. My bf got the enchiladas and I got the fajita plate. No customizations. When we did get our food we could not believe we waited so long for the plates we got. The enchiladas were suppose to be chicken but it felt like they grabbed some left over chicken and stuffed in there. The taste was strange and overall the look and presentation was awful. It was drenched in sour cream, and the green sauce. My bf did not eat it. He was super disappointed and still very hungry. My fajita plate was okay. The pieces of meat I got were hard but the flavor was good at least? At some point I did ask if I can get a pina colada as it was on their menu only for them to tell me they didn't have it and that was when we were over this experience. The service was bad, the wait was eternal, and on top of that after waiting so long for our food we got awful food. We wouldn't have minded the wait had the food been good and edible. I requested that the burrito have no beans and the rest of the orders have black beans instead of refried, and the orders came out exactly as I requested. The food was not overly salty. However, the packing of the food leaves something to be desired: they smashed the boxes together in the to-go bag such that the boxes were leaking/dripping sauces upon returning home. Prices also are on the higher side of average, but the food is pretty decent. I'd say it's a three and a half star place, but I can round up because they got my special order right. read more

Solid, old-school Mexican restaurant with a comfy ambiance. I was headed back to the city from Crockett and wanted a sit-down place on my way home where I could get some green cheese enchiladas. The ever-trusty Yelp app led me to Los Cerros. As I pulled in, I wondered if the place was even open because the parking lot seemed dead. I finally spotted a small neon OPEN sign so I made my way in, but not before noting and appreciating that this is not a typical strip mall. It has a cute, early-California colonial look complete with clay roof tiles. There are a few enclosed patio tables out front that look inviting despite abutting the parking lot. The hilly terrain does a lot to make this little mall interesting. I had a good feeling as soon as I walked into the restaurant. Despite the seemingly dead parking lot, business inside was surprisingly brisk. Big ceiling fans circulated and strands of papel picado fluttered gently, making the room feel airy and somehow much larger than it actually is. I think my favorite thing on my enchilada plate were the refried beans. They were savory and the perfect texture for scooping up with chips. Speaking of chips, I'm pretty sure these are fried in-house because they had a telltale yet very light oily sheen and were quite crisp considering they were on the thick side. In other words, they are strong enough to scoop beans but not so hard that they shred the roof of your mouth. At my request, the kitchen made my green enchiladas with cheese instead of chicken. The sauce was tangy and the cheese made long strings as I cut each piece. They were EXACTLY what I had in mind when I decided miles up the road that I wanted green cheese enchiladas. Service was friendly and just right...available but not hovering. Don't come here expecting a gourmet experience. This is comfort food. Come here to fill your belly and soul. I just love it when I walk into a restaurant with zero expectations and leave already planning my return. read more

We recently moved to the area and decided we wanted to try a new Mexican place! After looking on yelp, we saw this one was about 10 min away and had positive reviews. We ended up getting there around 730p on a Friday night and waited 15 min before we were seated. The booths fit roughly 2 people, maybe 4 if you squish, but also a few tables for larger parties. Once we sat down we ordered within 10 min and our food was ready about 5-10 min after that! We both ordered burritos and agua frescas. Huge portions, drinks included, and very delicious. We were also very intrigued by the tortilla press and maker that is visible when you walk in and can't wait to find out if it's being used the next time we come in! read more

Stopped by this place for dinner and it was pretty decent. The inside reminded me a bit of Celia's. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito with green sauce and my husband got the carnitas plate. I also ordered a Mango Margarita, blended. The margarita was really sweet. Too sweet that I couldn't finish it. The carnitas plate came with hand made flour tortillas. My husband said he really liked his meal. My burrito was nothing special other than the green sauce over it. I felt like I should have gone with a super burrito since the regular only came with meat, rice and beans. I would of loved some pico de Gallo inside it to make it tastier. One thing that I was a bit bummed out about was the chips. They were warm but stale! Overall, the food is decent, the ambiance is nice and the customer service is great. This place is decent. We placed an order tonight and the website for ordering items was pretty easy and simple. I ordered a burrito and my husband ordered flautas. We also got some quesadillas. Upon arrival the place looked pretty busy. The only complaint I have which I didn't give it a fourth star was the red rice tasted a bit burnt. I'm not sure if they just keep reheating the rice but it didn't taste very good. I also did not add another star due to the fact my burrito had more rice and beans and hardly any steak. I know times are tough but the burrito should not be most rice and beans and hardly any meat :( Other than that I like how my order was ready within the 20 minute wait I was given and I was able to be greeted by the friendly lady behind the counter. I read the reviews and was very excited to DoorDash me a Burrito Bowl de Carne Asada from here. Sadly, expectations met reality and I was very very disappointed. There was very very little meat with refried beans (I was expecting pinto beans) that had no flavor. There was very little salsa, but a good amount of Guacamole and lettuce. To make it worse the Burrito Bowl wasn't even in a plastic to-go bowl, but I'm a regular to-go container. Idk if I will try them again unless I go in person. read more

So my lady and I decided to order a burrito to split for the night and decided to order from Los Cerros Mexican Grill and saw the stars that were good so said, what the heck!! Well, when the food gets to the house, the horchata taste like cinnamon water and the shrimp burrito had literally only seven shrimp in the burrito!! We paid for extra shrimp when we ordered!!! So I suppose there's only four shrimp that come in a regular shrimp burrito!!! SMH!!! Lesson learned!!! Won't ever be ordering from this place again and most definitely will make sure that I don't recommend this place to anyone else!!! NO WORTH ANY STARS FOR A RATING!!!!! Must try! This place is tucked away on the side of the hill in a little plaza. It looks a little sketch, but walk in and you'll find a super cute restaurant with fresh tortillas made right as you walk in. We ordered a bunch in preparation for a 12K run. We needed all the carbs! They start you off with tortilla chips and salsa. (I wish the tortilla chips were fresh and hot - maybe I'm just being picky.) For dinner, we order the veggie quesadilla, tacos, chimichanga, and taquitos. We were all really happy with our choices! Everything very flavorful, nice and hot when served. They had the TVs on showing college softball games. Service was great; servers kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. Portion sizes are pretty big, we had a good amount of leftovers.
