I can not believe i have to order a cheese quesadilla on the app and not in the store. The customer service was not great either because after I was disappointed I could not get my quesadilla i kept on getting some sort of a side eye from the person making my bowl. I've come to this location for the past 2 years whenever I'm around Riverhead and I've never had a good experience here. Last time I came after waiting on a long line for 20 mins they informed you as you got to the counter that there isn't any chicken, steak, or carnitas or even rice and it was 5pm. Their staff is very unprofessional and unorganized. Today I placed an order on the app it said to pick up at 3:15 i was here at that time and it's 30 minutes later and I'm waiting for my food along with 10 other people who have been waiting for their food for longer than I have and the staff informed us we can't cancel the order even if they haven't even started preparing it. There's people who have walked in after me, waited on a long line and got their food already but because I'm an online order I have to wait. read more

This establishment can not call themselves a mexican grill. Whenever I come here I ask for a quesadilla and they look at me puzzled. Any Mexican restaurant has quesadillas. When you finally get the quesadilla, they hand it to you uncut and the tinfoil they used to press it with is piping hot. When you ask if they can cut it for you, once again they look at you with confusion. Apparently they are not allowed to cut it for some food safety issue. So now this unfortunately leaves me with a piping hot uncut folded in half quesadilla. If i wanted a taco I would have asked for one. read more

This was our first Chipotle experience but will not be our last. Easy to read menu, so many hot fresh choices and the blend of flavors was outstanding. We dined on chorizo burritos, steak burritos and a chicken burrito bowl. Everything was made to order right in front of you, plentiful and delicious. Great friendly, attentive staff. This is by far the best Chipotle I've ever been to. The food tasted fresh and the portion was so generous I couldn't finish it. I had the carnitas bowl with cilantro rice and black beans this time and I'm telling you it was delicious. Some chipotles I've been to don't really taste as fresh and they don't give you enough food. Specially guacamole, I know avocados are expensive, but if you're being charged extra hey! This place gave me a double serving of guac on my bowl! I thoroughly enjoy this establishment. I'm come here maybe 2 times a week and always get the same order (bowl). Every time the food is spot on and the employees are very friendly as almost never spend more than 5 min online. The only reason I gave three stars is the fact each time I come most of the tables and chairs are dirty and sometimes bags and dine in plates are left behind leaving not too many options to sit. I understand it's hard to keep up with cleaning task as a constant flow come through. And it seems there is always one or two drinks that are out of order. But overall love this chipotle. read more

This is my second visit to this location.. I decided to give this place another shot after my first time was not good.. the first time I was in here it was a disaster inside and the rice wasn't cooked in my bowl but I had already left so I wasn't going to return and complain This visit, the dining area was clean, but all the ingredients were all cross contaminated with other ingredients which is annoying because I don't eat animal protein and I have a dairy allergy. The girl who helped me was Joselin, I was a little bit of a pain and she was soo nice! I asked her to change her gloves and she did without blinking an eye.. then the black beans had steak in them, so she said she would go get new ones, and lastly the guacamole had cheese in it and she offered to get a fresh one of that as well.. she was so sweet and didn't get an attitude about any of it. This girl is a gem and deserves a raise. The employees responsible for making sure they don't contaminate the other ingredients should be spoken to because the ingredient area was a disaster. I'm only giving 4 stars because of Joselin and her wonderful attitude. Honestly management needs to get their act together in this place because on top of all the messiness of the ingredients the kid at the register had no clue how to redeem a gift card I had loaded on to my phone. His only job was ringing people up, shouldn't he know how to do a gift card? This is the age of technology where people have this stuff loaded to the app. very frustrating how poorly trained people are at their job these days. read more

Came to have lunch with my family and we had a pretty horrible experience, we were being helped by Tiana, who was amazing! She gave us extra guacamole like we had asked of her, and got all our orders correct. Lisa, who I'm guessing is the manager, yelled and reprimanded her in a disgustingly rude manner about how much guacamole she put on our order (again which we had asked for), while the restaurant was packed. I found her attitude and manner of reprimanding absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. The rest of the staff were great! The food was great! Took my younger brother here for dinner. Only us on the line, he gets to the register to pay, turns around with his bag then slips and smacks the cement floor. There was a huge puddle, no wet floor sign, as you can see in my photo I attached. Then when I asked the cashier if they had a wet floor sign or not, she responded, with an attitude "that's not my problem." Or something along those lines. Basically they didn't give a SINGLE fuck. No one who worked there said "sorry" or asked him if he was okay. I'm sorry but You can't make up for this with a free meal. This is a corporation, this is a restaurant. AVOID this location. I am a usual customer at this location since it's close to the hospital I work at. Tonight I was overcharged $3+ for my veggie salad. When I brought this up to the cashier, Lisa, I was informed it's her manager's policy to charge extra when salsas are on the side. I informed her I've never been charged extra at any location or when I do this through the app. She offered me free chips, which makes no sense to me! I'd rather have my order correctly rung up, not chips which I do not want! Needless to say I will be be bringing this up with corporate since this is not a chipotle mandate, but rather her "managers orders". Watch your bill cause they are overcharging unfairly! Love the food, & the service is always friendly & fast, my biggest complaint is the customers. Every time I'm there some I-wanna-speak-to-your-manager-Susan or no-patience-Peter is in line ruining my burrito. I ordered through the Chipotle online app. Order was delayed so I stood there and watched them prepare the food. I witnessed one of the employees take off her mask and gloves, wipe her nose and face with a napkin taken from the pile that gets packed in the to-go orders, throw away the napkin and proceed to pack the food that she was preparing with her bare hands and face unmasked (while talking to the other employees) without washing her hands. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COVID PANDEMIC. I get that they are busy but you can't take shortcuts on food safety especially during these times. To make matters worse, that order that she packed turned out to be mine. I felt bad for their working conditions but I was thoroughly disgusted so I just took the food without creating a fuss but threw it away when I walked out of the restaurant. I filled out the chipotle survey after so hopefully they fix the problem. Would also be good for people to know. A few months ago I went to the store to get some dinner. My husband just have brain surgery and chipotle was one of the fist things he wanted to eat after the hospital. ( I mention this so you understand that is not about a couple dollars that I paid for the guacamole) we live around 20 miles away of this particular restaurant but I drive there to get the food. I ordered two bowls and a small order of chips and guacamole. I drive home and guacamole was not there. I called the store and spoke to two associates one of then was a manager and they apologized and told me that in my next visit to let then know and they will give me my guacamole. Well I went there yesterday and I mention to the server about this they said they need my receipt and to know who I exactly spoke too ( I don't remember) t didn't have with me a the moment and I told her the person that I spoke to said not worry about it; in front of everybody they make me feel like a was a trying to steal something from then. very rude with me. I did tell the manager very politely that they made a mistake. and that I did have not need to lie. I work customer service and a couple dollars should not be reason to make a customer upset. specially when the restaurant made a mistake. Very disappointing experience . they well condescending, disrespectful and undermining. I will not be supporting chipotle in Riverhead anymore. While all of the ingredients were super fresh the portions given to me were ridiculous. I've been to numerous chipotles in and out of the state and this is the only chipotle to give me these skimpy portions... To the point that the bowl I ordered was literally only half full...if this is a constant thing at this chipotle I definitely won't ever be going back to the Riverhead location. read more

i am a Chipotle lover, however, I would never come back to this chipotle. when we walked into the establishment 96% of the tables were dirty and the place was not even crowded with customers and there was more than enough people working so i do not understand why the place was a mess. trash was left on the tables and while we were sitting and eating a gentleman brought back his quesadillas to be reheated because they were given to him cold. furthermore, They ran out of queso and the soda machines were only giving out water because they ran out of the syrup for the sodas. a huge disappointment for sure read more

It's a welcome thing to have Chipotle in Riverhead! We frequent Chipotle in Florida, and miss it when we stay in the Hamptons. It was busy when we arrived, but Andreas still welcomed my infant and I at the door, holding it open. He made sure we had everything we needed when we sat down-- high chair, drinks, silverware, napkins, and he buzzed around the restaurant for others as well.
