I went to Chipotle to order a Veggie bowl to go. When I went to look at my receipt, I noticed I was charged for a Chicken Bowl and extra for guacamole. The reason why I'm sharing this is because I believe this was done intentionally. After I swiped my card to pay, the cashier quickly took the receipt and crumbled it to throw it away. When I asked for the receipt, he was very surprised. When I got home to check the receipt, I then realized why he wanted to throw it away. The receipt in general looks very shady because it does not even say "Chipotle" as the header of the receipt. Even the order number does not fit the proper format of "100-000". I tried calling the location twice after noticing the "mistake" but no one is answered the phone even though the store was open This is very upsetting. I frequent this location and usually things like this does not happen but this experience was quite jarring. I've attached a pic of the receipt and the veggie bowl. I suggest you look at your receipt before leaving the establishment or they may sadly take advantage of you. read more

The line moved super fast, they weren't out of anything, and the workers were very nice. This is the best chipotle I've ever been to!

NEVER DO A GROUP ORDER from this location. We did 13 orders, half of us ordered burritos, and NONE of us got burritos. They put our burrito orders in a bowl WITHOUT a tortilla. That is just careless and lazy. We paid over $100 total and we did not get what we wanted. We double checked our labels. Our order labels said burritos, but they still gave us bowls. We absolutely did nothing wrong here, but we got wronged. I hope other chipotles aren't like this. read more

This location is awesome!!! The team working on September 29th was thrown into chaos when the delivery systems of two other stores shut down and all orders were sent to this store. They all worked together sufficiently though and were ultimately triumphant! Joe specifically took the reigns and lead the team to victory as he established a system to help the people who were in the store and hungry. I just want management and all patrons to recognize how great these guys were. They worked together and communicated so well in such a tough time. You guys rock! read more

Gave this location another shot. GOT TO BE THE WORSE FREAKING LOCATION in the Seattle area. They seriously need new management or management period...at this location. Went there on a busy night and had mostly teens running the restaurant like chickens with their heads cut off. GIt was a disaster. Wait times for deliveries were creeping into an hour although we were there to dine in. Delivery drivers lined the dining area waiting for orders and visibly upset. Not sure if management is the issue or idiots at corporate but this location desperately needs a fix. read more

I normally love Chipotle, and it's normally pretty consistent. The problem with this one, is how little attention is given to customers, and the lack giving spirit? Here's what I mean, the food quantity here is lacking. South Lake Union for example of where they give customers a lot of attention, service, and portions are good, not humungous, but filling portions. Here they do not do that, in fact, not only did they skimp on my food portions, they forgot that they had my quesadilla toasting away until I reminded them, and then they remembered. Usually, compared with Taco Del Mar or Qdoba... they are much bigger feasts, but at this place, they seem smaller and less substantial. This place doesn't seem to fit into the tradition of good Chipotle... oh well. read more

I'm a little obsessed with Chipotle lately. I know they have gotten a lot of bad press but I think the food is delicious and am worried it may go away. I think they have been trying really hard to win back their customer base. I appreciate the effort. I enjoy a sofritas bowl, this is one of the few places where I can get a high protein vegan fast food type meal. The chips and guacamole are also delicious. Plus its nice that they offer vegetarian beans. I also like how they are very transparent about their ingredients and nutritional info. You can make whatever alterations you want to your food. It can be a little slower since each person gets personal attention while their food is made but its worth the wait. This location is busy and parking is sometimes a hassle, but its a great stop off point if you get stuck in Seattle traffic. Normally I like this location, but my online order was 30 minutes late. They were busy, so I can understand, but 30 minutes is just too long. The whole point of ordering ahead of time is to have your food ready at a specific time, especially if you're in a hurry. People that came in after I had already been waiting (past my pick up time) were getting their food before me. I don't fault the employees because as I said, they were busy. This location is awful. The staff are so unorganized and a hot mess! They don't communicate; they aren't working together. There were at least 5 of them working to get food ready and none of them were in sync. And the food was bad! We came here Sunday around 3pm. Here's a breakdown- 5-7 staff working; the inexperienced guy on the cash register; 15+ people in line.... There were about 5 burritos made with people waiting to get checked out. Since the register was backed up, the people who were waiting were standing in front of the food. At this point, staff should have recognized that the line was backed up and stopped pre-making food. Right? Nope. That's not what happened. The staff would shout down the line to the person that they couldn't even see and ask what they wanted! It started with the first girl asking what guests wanted. She was asking people 3-5 down from in front of her. Picture it- she is shouting down the line to someone she can't see; meanwhile people are trying to move over so she can see the person! What's the rush??? We aren't moving. So then she has the burrito heated with rice and beans just sitting there for about 10 minutes. No joke. It sat there at least 15 minutes from start to finish! Then we finally move and get to the toppings...the guys is shouting 5 people down asking what people want. First I said mild salsa and he dumps about a cup on the burrito. I was so annoyed I just said, "I'm not ordering yet; I'll wait til I get down there." He looks at me dumbfounded! All the customers are just confused on why this is happening and he's then upset with me for not shouting my order down the line when I can't even see the food! He leaves and has another guy relieve him so he can move to the tortillas. I finish ordering minutes later but then wait another 10 minutes to checkout. The guy on the register didn't even get our drink size correct. When I finally sat down to eat my food, I think either the corn or lettuce was completely frozen and of course, the tortilla was hard and cold by this point. I ended up having to deconstruct and eat what I could. It was awful. By the time we left, the line had backed up to the entrance door and there were over 25 people waiting. And the poor guy behind the register was drowning and the one holding up the line. Meanwhile the other idiots are still rushing to get food made. Someone train them! That's ridiculous. read more

The people who work here are super nice. After eating my burrito, I had a little bit of left over. One of the guys came over to our table and offered to take our trash and also bring a to go box. I think that was the first time anyone has ever took the initiative to make us feel so spoiled at a Chipotle. I was very impressed. The food on the other hand is a real disappointment. I'm a huge fan of Chipotle. I've probably had more than 40 burritos since they opened. My burrito here was by far the worse that I've had. The rice was dry and cold. The peppers and onions were a little burnt. Overall, it didn't taste like their usual quality burrito. As I ate it, I felt kind of sad that I wasted $7 on a subpar burrito. What can I say? Chipotle is probably my favorite thing about Northgate Mall. The folks at the Northgate Chipotle are incredible. The staff? Super friendly. If you're a regular like me, they'll recognize you and always smile. The manager is awesome! He waves and chats with me, and that makes me want to go back to Chipotle every week! Oh wait, I already do. My personal favorite Chipotle choice is the classic chicken burrito. I ask for half the black beans (doesn't get as soggy inside), tomato and corn salsa, sour cream and cheese, and lettuce. YUM. Carnitas is also good with this combo. DOUBLE YUM. I really appreciate this Chipotle location, especially during the last year (which is when I've probably come to this location the most)! I will say, online orders can take longer than expected during dinner hours, so my partner and I always opt to drop in and order on-site. Any lines move at a decent to quick pace and what I appreciate most is the quality customer service. Staff behind the counter are generally always friendly and pleasant, and the meals we have seem consistent across our experience with this location. Let me tell you a story about today's experience... Today, I was excited to order a burrito from this location. Little did I know the issues that would ensue, my order was ready for pickup by 12:45 and I arrived at 12:41 to pick up my food on time. :) About every 4 minutes, a girl would emerge from the back with a bag and immediately go to the back without announcing a name or order number. During the first 10 minutes, I heard a fellow patron ask her to announce the name so that all 25 people waiting did not have to go to the small order pickup place violating the 6ft rule to grab their food and go. She didn't stop to listen and kept on dropping food forcing everyone to corral in the front. At 1:10, my roommate asked the employee at the front taking the walk-in orders to let us know how much longer in the friendliest tone. (My roommate works in food service and was had been patient.) The employee shrugged her shoulders and said that she wasn't sure because they were still on their 12:15 orders. My roommate said, "Thanks, I guess." and patiently waited. An apology was given as my roommate walked away. Another two people asked the girl who was adding the orders on the pickup table to announce names, she announced them for the next two orders and stopped. During this time about 5 people asked if they could cancel orders and the front employee told them that it was doable if they go online. She mentioned that it wasn't the easiest process but they could try. Fed up at 1:35, I went to talk to an employee who seemed frazzled and was unwilling to apologize. I asked the status of my food as I order as I was nearing my 1-hour restaurant visit. The employee said he wasn't sure of the status, I asked him to tell the girl dropping off food to announce names and order number. He said that he would try and I should go check again. After receiving my unannounced food at 1:50, I went home to enjoy it. I ignored the piece of plastic in my bowl. For future notice, announce to employees that you are sorry, you are running late and offer them the ability to cancel online. It would have meant more with an apology or some sort of status. I would have appreciated a queue, a list of orders before me or some sort of understanding. Empathy goes a long way! For clarity, there will be no more trips to Chipotle at Northgate. read more

Maybe it's due to the covid pandemic but their ingredients are not doing very well. I ate the chicken burrito bowl yesterday and I have been pretty sick. I've had about 4 assplosions and rancid gas. Pretty sure the chicken was no good because it had a lot of hard, dry spots that were difficult to chew. The lettuce looked like it was cooked, slimy, brown, and limp - I didn't get any of it. It is absolutely tasty and filling. I'm not a burrito fan because it's too huge and messy so I go for the bowl instead. I also opt out on beans because I'm not a fan but I definitely love the rice, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce... etc. It's pretty reasonably priced too and I love how they have the cutest taglines, like I looked on my receipt and it said, "unburritable." I liked that it was really warm and prepared super fresh (obviously since it was made right in front of me). The Northgate Chipotle is a wonderful location of the Chipotle empire. The location is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is served fresh and with great portion sizes. I would highly recommend this location of Chipotle. If they have lines though, be warned they may move a little slow. This is a sign that each order is truly made to order and that the guest in front of an associate gets their attention; however, it does create some longer lines for a "quick service" food location. So we are regulars here and for a while we have been annoyed with the staff, but now I've realized it is just poor management. First please teach your staff how to properly wrap a burrito. Secondly, teach them that when a customer orders a burrito double wrapped, it isn't just "more to chew on" as one of the workers so rudely had asked. It's actually to fit the contents into the tortilla, rather than shoving loose beans, meat, and juices into alum foil. Hopefully management picks up the slack and properly trains their employees. Chipotle is a go to for many like my self. It's good quick easy and fresh. Me and my boyfriend have tried this location two times already because it's the closes one to his place but both times we were really disappointed with the service and the taste of the food. The girl that was making our meal seem like she didn't want to be there and was rude and very stingy when my boyfriend asked for double meat (we know it's extra and we're expecting to pay more ) but she just added like 5extra pieces. Impossible to practice social distancing here. They are taking orders for pick-up, and have a set of shelves where the bags are placed, with printed name tickets. However, those shelves are tucked around a corner and past several pinch points, so it isn't possible to maintain six feet of distance with other patrons while looking for your order. I went to pick up a web order today, and there were easily 20 customers waiting for their orders. Because the location has not removed or set aside any of their tables and chairs, it physically isn't possible to fit that many customers each with six feet around them into the remaining floor space. Additionally, the employees don't call out the names on orders that come up, so every time a new bag is put on the pick-up shelves, EVERY SINGLE PERSON has to move through the narrow space around the shelves to see whether their order is ready. Around 2/3 of the customers were wearing masks, and everyone I saw was *trying* to maintain safe distancing, but the restaurant as currently laid out means you just can't do it. read more

This location is at Northgate Mall so very convenient during shopping trips or if you are just stopping by. Being at the mall, there is tons of parking so no worries there. I've been here a couple times now and each time has been just fine with no issues to speak of. The place is clean, the service is fast, and the food is about what you would expect. I like the fact that you are in control of what goes in to or on to your food as I can be fairly picky at times so it's nice to just tell them exactly what I want and they pile it on. I've never had a problem with the quality of the food here and would have no problem coming back again. read more
