Chicken bowl not touched not even half full

This is what chipotle on Davis s.t. in Vacaville ca! A chicken bowl Not even half full! Talked to John at chipotle and he said there is nothing they can do. $17.00 for nothing. I would avoid this establishment! They obviously could care less!

    Chicken bowl!

Food was FRESH, Service was quick, and the restaurant was Clean! Chicken bowl was absolutely perfect!

All the pieces of steak that was given to me were mainly just tough fat gristle

Cold Vibes, and Stingy Service...Never Again!!! I visited the newer Chipotle on Davis Street in Vacaville on June 3rd at around 9:30 PM. still 20 minutes before their 10 PM closing time. When I walked in, the place was nearly shut down already. All the food containers were pulled out, and the team was deep into cleaning mode. I was the only customer in the building, yet not a single person greeted me. I stood there for several minutes while they kept wiping down and moving around me like I didn't exist. There were at least five employees working, and while I can't say all of them looked at me, I know for sure that one woman kept scrubbing right in front of me without even glancing up, and a young man turned, made eye contact, and just turned right back around without a word. It was uncomfortable, awkward, and honestly rude. Finally, the woman in front of me muttered, "Just give me a second," like I was bothering her. Then an older woman (who I believe was the manager) finally stepped in and offered to help me. I ordered a kids meal and wanted that Honey Chipotle Chicken but it wasn't much left of it so I end up just asking for the steak and politely asked if she could include the last few scraps of the honey chipotle chicken since that's what I came to originally order and they were clearly about to toss it out since there wasn't even a full serving left..it surely wasn't fresh Just the thick hard bottom scraps of the container.. It definitely was sitting there for a minute by how it looked. There were maybe six pieces left in the pan. She gave me three. Then she added a few tiny chunks of steak, and that was it. Claimed she was giving me half and half I raised my eyebrow when she did that.. Thinking to myself..wow! .. really... You're going to be that petty huh. I was so irritated and upset that I didn't even eat the food that night.. I was so turned off by the whole experience, I really wanted to walk right out. I end up buying tacos from another spot instead. Then the next day, when I finally ate the meal, I had to add my own chicken at home because the portion was so freakin small it wasn't even 2 oz of meat. That's when I realized the steak was mostly gristle, very dry & tough, and the rice wasn't edible at all It was dry, cold, and disappointing all around. I know it was just $6.43, but this wasn't even about the money..it was the complete lack of basic service and human decency. The whole thing felt stingy, petty, and dismissive. I've already contacted corporate, but based on past experiences and their current rating on here, as well as the other Vacaville location on East Monte Vista.. I don't expect much to come from it. I'm officially done. If you want to get your money's worth go to Que Onda Taco bar right next to Olive garden. They give you really generous and more then fair portions and I don't even generally eat a lot I end up getting the kids bowl and it looked like a regular size bowl plus they have all types of different protein choices from chicken, steak, shrimp, brisket, pork.. whatever you desire. Plus the customer service is awesome! I'm tired of supporting these corporations and franchises just to pay top dollars for below subpar service.

Build Your Own Burrito way too small.

If I order a $15 burrito I would at least hope it wouldn't be this small. I would have been better off going to a mom and pop shop and getting my money's worth shopping locally. Waiting 10 minutes after ordering this on the app and going through the drive thru to be met with this is upsetting. I never have this issue at the other location either.

Their side guac with a pit shell still in the unmixed avocado.
    Alfred T.

I've really tried hard to give these guys a chance- and it seems like each time it gets worse. Today, it was the side of guac. It's basically a giant hunk of an unmixed avocado with the hard pit shell. And to have somehow gotten that scooped into a side serving cup had to be a sign that they really don't care. Last time, the guac was disgusting and brown. The time before that the steak was dry. Before that, the beans were gritty. I'm done. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Since opening we have tried this location a few times and it's always been great. We live in Fairfield but take the drive because this location offers better service. It's smaller dining, so a group of people fill up the room quickly but employees work fast. I like that I they have a drive through for quick pick up when ordering through the app. We were pleasantly surprised on our last visit by Sheila. She made the most beautiful bowl and burritos. I apologize before ordering because we had several kids at home and they're all picky eaters up to an extent. But with each order she out so much love into it. But she out did herself in the last burrito. I was AMAZED!

Customer service appreciation was very excellent member of the evening crew Natalyee was very friendly host at Davis st Vacaville ca .restaurant

This is a mountain of rice and sour cream with a waterfall of hot sauce.

This place has been awful with their food portions before but today took the cake! Might be because I'm hangry lol I started ordering no rice so I could avoid having a rice bowl but you really shouldn't have to not order things you like and are paying for so they can give you fake portions of food. Now I'm mad at myself for not saying no rice and evened up with a rice bowl with sour cream and hot sauce

This place needs to improve. The workers were unpleasant and rude, not only to the customers but also to each other. It felt like all the employees hated each other. The food was good, but they overfilled our burritos and couldn't close them. Despite that, one of the workers forced it closed, causing all the food to leak out.

Food was amazing portions was on point and the crew was nice and patient. I recommend this place.

Where's the fucking meat? 60 dollar order and stingy on meat. 4 bites of barbacoa on my burrito bowl last night. Get bent

The food is good and they make you feel welcome. Ambiance is simple and like what you might expect at a well run family owned diner. The restaurant is clean and it is calming to enter. I looked, and every customer appeared to be really enjoying their meal...It had that kind of ambiance. Hospitality is a very welcoming 6 stars. They are attentive and treat you nicer than you expect at a business. The food is served in very generous portions and they make a good, house made, horchata. I recommend ordering some. If grandkids are listening, I say the food is pulled up a bit by you're hospitality. Pico de gallo? A blended maybe cooked tomato chili salsa? Freshly chopped onion and cilantro? The rice is a bit bland, but when combined with the red wet burrito sauce, it is fantastic. I think a drizzle of that sauce should be on the inside of every burrito. I am a foodie, and I am giving you a full five stars overall, but recommend a little more fresh veggie. I only write reviews if establishments are excellent or somehow a disappointment. Tacos Jalisco is excellent and deserves your business.

If you want good Mexican you gotta hit Jalisco". Say less. "Oh, and get their green salsa." Ok, you said a little more but we'll get back to that. I headed out the door and started driving. Soon I realized I didn't actually know where I was going (not unusual for me) and called the host. All sorted out I not only found Tacos Jalisco but got the (green) spot right in front. Valet parking would have been less convenient. Things were looking up. I went full gringo and bought a super burrito. Was it OK? No. Was it good? No. Was it great? Getting there. Was it superb? Warmer. Was it T R A N S C E N D E N T? YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the sauce good? Ok, let's not do this again. Yes! The sauce was HELLA GOOD! How good? Let's just say they sell it by the bottle FOR A REASON, primo. For a reason. Did I buy a bottle? Uh, do people come from out of state to buy bottles to freeze? Uh, yes. So yeah, you best believe I copped a bottle. Call the burrito Davíd Blaine because that lil hommie disappeared real quick. (I got the al pastor which was perfect btw. ) The ambiance? I don't know. Do you remember the color of the carpet when you were at the California Lottery's finance office to pick up your Powerball winnings (you picked lump sum)? Then you know what I'm talking about. A lot of tops. Place was clean. Menu's were easy to read. The very nice lady working the register was hella cool and even offered up suggestions when I was vacillating. Lots of dudes in the kitchen so my to-go came out real quick. (Lots of cooks to me means they're doing a brisk business. Which means fresher food. Faster service. Etc. You know the ------ vibes! So all I have now is this bottle of green salsa and the knowledge that refills are only $5.00. For life. Yes they make it fresh every damn day. Stop playing. Maybe I'll see you at Tacos Jalisco when I'm filling up my bottle.

I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. The restaurant has a bright, inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. A couple of tables hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but we quickly found a clean spot and settled in. My evaluation is based on the pollo verde--which was an outstanding flavor at the prior location. I ordered a burrito and there is no flavor in this sauce. It's practically inedible, honestly. Having been a regular at the Peabody location, this is a shocking departure, and I can only assume there was a loss in talent back of the house in the transition. But since a restaurant is only as good as its food, this is a significant loss. I hope something changes, it's wild to have to close the clamshell on a Villa Corona pollo verde burrito, but close it I must. edit: Thanking owner Carlos for his response, but I have to assume it's a different batch than the one I tasted Monday. I've been a big fan of Villa Corona for years and the Peabody location was my spot; but even then I had a strong preference for the pollo verde from that location over the Nut Tree.
