I got the turkey sandwhich and added spinach. I was worried that there wasnt going to be enough turkey. I was extremely wrong. The sandwhich was as big as my face, full of meat, and was quite delicious. The orzo was also great. Bob marley was playing the whole time. Perfect! Moat of the menu options are bland, uninspired, and just on the cusp of being really good, but never make it over the edge.

I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal here. I think I've tried almost every item on the menu. The lamb sandwich is absolutely amazing. Tender but not over the top and the fried chicken sandwich is perfect. This place deserves all of the praise that comes with a small cafe that turns out great food. In my opinion, the chive is one of the best places for lunch in peddlers village. The only downfall is no alcoholic beverages which can easily be overlooked since its practically on the peddlers village property. I wouldn't be surprised if they move into a larger space and expand the menu. Hopefully if this happens, they stay close. We can all hope though read more

Don't go here the hostess is nasty. Would not give this establishment any business !! First says no room inside closing in 1/2 hrs when I got there at 250..hum... you have to sit outside then when i went inside to get a menu she pulled it out of my hand and said sit outside I'll bring the menus. My two eggs over easy and hash browns were delicious but that was about it on the plate. I passed on the toast but I saw more plate than food...I would go back for another try and maybe lunch. Came here to see if they had some good breakfast options and was totally blown away by the lamb sausage sandwich. It's evident a lot of thought went into every ingredient and the execution was absolutely divine. If you enjoy lamb at all I cannot recommend it enough. I went with the side of homefries and they were some of the best I've ever had, in a scallop style and with a perfect amount of char. My girlfriend enjoyed the chorizo breakfast burrito and we both even got complementary sides of mixed fruit. We will DEFINITELY be returning before our trip is over. read more

We came here for an early lunch (11am) after visiting Kids Castle in Doylestown. The cafe is super cute, clean, and the staff is so friendly. My fiancé ordered the chili which was a generous portion and had a great flavor. Our son had the noodles and butter and he really liked it...the noodles were a cute egg noodle and he really seemed to enjoy them. I ordered the house roasted turkey sandwich with avocado, havarti, bacon, lettuce, and tomato and it was so good! The mayo was interesting and flavorful and not glopped on there which I appreciate. My fiancé ordered the Tuscan sandwich which was prosciutto, mozzarella, pesto, and tomato and he said it was amazing. The bread was very delicious as well. The coffee was good as was the hot chocolate. We ordered cookies to go and they are absolutely delicious (go for the snickerdoodle and chocolate chip!). LOVE Chive - so happy to have something so delicious right down the road! My husband and I go here often, for everything from breakfast to dinner. Most recently, we have been doing their dinner specials, and they never disappoint. It is always something new. Personally my favorite is anything with their mac n cheese - and if you're going for breakfast, the silver dollar pancakes are awesome. The best part of all is the folks that work there. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I went here one day with my dad after being hungry from hiking up at Ralph stover state park. Few things happened that were pretty ridiculous: 1. I walked in the restaurant (like a normal person) and asked for a menu. To this I was answered by an irritated older women that said, "can you give us a minute, okay?" Came off super edgy and I was just like whoaaa. She eventually gives me a menu and my dad comes out from the restroom having missed all this. 2. After all this happens I then tell the person working I am ready to order. She asks me if its for takeout or eat in. I say eat in. To which point, I am then told I must sit outside and wait for a server. Kind of annoying, but I understand if that's your policy. Just strange they let me wait inside for a for a while clearly deciding on a meal. 3. We go outside and after a while are greeted by a youngish 18-20 year old. She definitely had an attitude from the start. We give her our order- I got a turkey wrap on whole wheat, which she wasn't sure what kind of different wraps they had... 4. Food comes out. She scurries off back inside. I immediately look at the whole wheat wrap and it is the most stale, crunchiest wrap I have ever seen. Absolutely atrocious that they think they could get away with serving this. 5. Almost insulted at this point I walk inside with the plate and show them that it's stale. I tell them forget the wrap just put it on whole grain bread (which my dad had and it at least looked edible). 6. THE ORIGINAL SERVER NEVER COMES BACK OUT. A different girl came out and apologizes, but explains that happens because they're grilled. I have worked in a restaurant (making wraps) and I know when it is stale. Whatever at least she was nice and apologized. 7. The best part is we are literally left there wondering what to do because long after I eat my (now) sandwich, no one comes out to give us a bill or anything. Never seen anything like it. Eventually, my dads fed up and goes inside and pays them at the counter. But back to point 2, I thought I had to do things through the waitress? To put icing on the cake, our original server walks right past the table while my dad is inside and goes somewhere or leaves. This place was a nightmare and I was basically treated poorly by everyone including the owner (or at least an older woman giving commands), the waitress (obviously), and the guy cooking the food (for giving me a stale wrap and trying to play it off). I will never be returning to this establishment and I highly recommend that you steer clear as well. read more

It's not bad but not very good either. Basically it is 3.5 stars, would have rounded to 4 if the service was good, but since it was sort of aggressive and odd, I'm rounding down to 3 stars. The sandwiches are sort of sad, unevenly toasted bread with sparse fillings. The salads are okay, but at least the caesar was over-dressed. This place just made me want to go home and open up a shop just like it. I walked in and was immediately asked if I wanted to order food. I mentioned that I was hoping to get some tea and work, with plans to order lunch after a little while, and I was encouraged to grab a mug and serve myself! (free refills on hot water and coffee). The decor is adorable, the service incredibly friendly. I wanted to write this review before eating and ordering because I already felt so strongly that the atmosphere (calm, great for conversation, free wifi!) was on point. But I waited. Which was a great decision because I would've needed to follow up with another rave review. The baguette that my Tuscan sandwich was served on was EXCELLENT. Crusty, soft insides, and the sandwich fillings were great qualities. I could wax poetic about the tomatoes on this sammich. The greens were so fresh. The prosciutto was piled on, and the mozz was hearty. I love a little place that makes you feel at home, and this does the trick. I've been here for two hours and there's been no pressure to pay for anything or to leave. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely stop by for some lunch and a little bit of office work. read more

The food is always stellar. I gave a three star review because of the Rude waitress. We sat outside at a table that didn't have a place setting or menu. There is not a sign stating they have wait staff, so my husband went inside to order. After sitting for five minutes a waitress came out and was initially friendly... As soon as I mentioned my husband went inside to order her attitude became nasty and stormed off. Meanwhile she complained inside and my husband heard her. I am a local and am so happy that this place opened up. This is the best sandwiches\salad\soup place in the area. the food is creative fresh and delicious. the quality is high end, a little gourmet. They cook breakfast all day i believe. all the meats are cooked right there such as the turkey and brisket. the deli meats and cheese are not processed and they are sliced fresh and nicely thin. i hate when deli is sliced too thick . they dont use pre made processed foods. they support local businesses. all the food is so fresh. the soups are seasoned perfectly. I am a very tough critic. This is a new restaurant and they really deserve to do well because their food quality is excellent and they take pride in it. It is the only good food you can get in Peddlers Village where you don't have to deal with a waiter. they are kid friendly. You order at the counter and then sit down either inside or outside. The ambiance is very nice. you enter from the back, the parking lot is shared with pedllers village. i think some people may not know that the main entrance and parking is behind. i have eaten there for lunch 3 times and look forward to trying breakfast. read more
