I have a new review. This one is for their pop-up dinner nights. They have pop-up nights, I think 3 times a week. Today we finally tried it for dinner. It was sensational. I was blown away. Service has always been great at Chive and it continues to get better. There weren't too many people waiting in but I did notice a lot of take out as we waiting for our food. But the food, that was the star tonight. Out of control meatloaf and burger. We will be going here for their pop-up dinners again. Just loved every bit

It was recommended to me by friends, so I went to Chive cafe for breakfast. Terrific! I went with the Black Bean Breakfast Burrito, Salsa Fresca, Scrambled Egg, Pepperjack Cheese & Avocado in a wrap (#6 on the menu), and it was delicious. In addition, I ordered well-done home fries. Crispy and outstanding. I had decaf that was also superb. The service was great. The place is small so plan accordingly because they get busy. I will be back.

I enjoyed a wonderful salad with sundried tomatoes, beautiful greens , carrots and cucumbers. Delicious and so fresh. My friends enjoyed their pork plate and flounder! Always magnificent service here ! And it's wonderful to see the local art featured on the walls too !!

TLDR: quaint cafe with friendly staff, quick service, and solid food all for a great price I dropped by for a quick lunch and was impressed. The burger was simple and checked all the right boxes of a delicious burger: great sear, juicy, loosely packed and soft, well seasoned, balanced toppings. It's also worth noting that the fries were great too - they perfectly crisp and stayed that way through the end of lunch. The entire experience was quick and casual. We got our food lightning fast. The staff was friendly in helping us and chatting with us before and after the meal. Great value too: Two entrees and a side for around $30. I would definitely come by again if I was in the area.

This place is such a charming brunch spot in Lambertsville! Came here on a Wednesday for lunch around 12:30pm and the place was pretty empty by 1pm the place was buzzing with customers Ambiance - quirky and stunning art work line the walls and are ready for purchase - plenty of natural sunlight Service - staff was attentive - food came out quickly Food - Roast beef and roasted red pepper panini: the bread was perfectly toasted, cheese was perfectly melted, roast beef was hearty and the roasted red pepper added a good tang to the sandwich. Macaroni salad was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the sandwich! - fried artichokes: a perfect light starter! Artichokes were crispy and came out hot. I've never had fried artichokes before and now this is one of my fave appetizers! Definitely stop by this place if you're in Lambertsville!

Quick, prompt. Had the #1 breakfast sandwich which came with a little side of fruit salad. Friendly staff and calm atmosphere.

Moat of the menu options are bland, uninspired, and just on the cusp of being really good, but never make it over the edge.

For only $8.50 you can get a beautiful desert. I tried the mango and thought it was very flavorful. The outside is white chocolate with edible paint, and the inside is a mango mousse with mango sause. The mango sause was a little sour, but in a good way, it added that addicting flavor that made it so good. The waiters are very nice, and check up on you a lot, and i 100% recommend this store!

If you're a fan of salmon and avocado, the salmon avocado croissant sandwich is delicious and worth ordering. The chicken sandwich, on the other hand, was pretty plain--I would skip that next time. The real stars, though, are the homemade desserts. They are almost too pretty to eat! The apple dessert was absolutely incredible, with a light mousse and refreshing lychee fruit inside. The strawberry was just as amazing, filled with berry mousse that was fresh, light, and full of flavor. Both were outstanding. The peanut butter dessert was good, but it just couldn't compete with the apple and strawberry. At $8.50 each, these desserts are worth every penny. If you're in the area, grab an apple or strawberry--you won't be disappointed!

They were very sweet and happily accommodated our 7mo old daughter with a highchair (and buttered rigatoni!). Our reservation was a 6:15, and we were promptly seated in a beautiful part of the dining room. They had vases full of garlic scapes, peonies, hydrangeas. The decor and ambiance was beautiful. On each table, they had a small vase of fragrant herbs. The dinner is $95 and three courses. We chose from an entree list of duck confit, hake, and summer risotto. We chose the hake and duck to share, The first course was an herby salad with little gem lettuce, bacon, and crispy croutons. I love an herby salad so this was very delicious. The hake with hollandaise sauce and asparagus was good perfectly, it was a really delicious, plump piece of fish. The Eaton mess for dessert was fabulous. Berry preserves, berry sorbet, vanilla ice cream, and merengue. A winning combination. I definitely recommend as a destination restaurant along this cute Delaware River town. PS it's BYOB!

The food, however, was something of a disappointment; for a restaurant with this many accolades and a very small menu, I would not expect the confit to be dried out or the sole to be dry and mealy. I love almond cake, but again, it had five minutes too long in the oven. Felt the chef's attention was not on their timing.
