Food was not good. Doesn't taste good. Service is ok. My dish came really slow. Ambiance is good. Spacious. Overall I will not return to this place unless my friends choose to. The food was not good and the price was expensive. There are many better places to dine.

Hot Lemon Tea one of the choices of drinks that's included in every combo

First time at Chloe's Garden. Was there for Happy Hour specials. Very reasonable and large portions. Very spacious and comfortable dining space. We sat in a booth. Salted Chicken Wings were my favourite and very tasty in a crispy batter. Wings were on the small side tho. Eel fried rice was delicious. The Fried Noodles with Beef in Black Pepper sauce was good but i expected it to be a bit more saucier. Overall it was a good casual place for a quick bite. Staff was very pleasant and speaks Cantonese and English as well

Chloe's Garden has just opened a second location in Markham, branching out from their Hwy 7 spot, and I've already dropped by twice for lunch. Both times were really enjoyable -- the service is quick, the staff are welcoming, and it feels like they've already settled into a nice rhythm despite being new. The lunch menu is a fun mix. You'll find the classic HK café staples -- think comforting baked rice plates and noodle -- alongside more fusion-style dishes that give you extra variety. I like that the combos now come with a drink included, which makes them feel like good value. Plus, if you pay cash, you get a 5% discount, which is a nice little bonus. Overall, it's the kind of place that works whether you're craving something familiar or want to try a twist on Chinese comfort food. With the range of options, there's really something for everyone, and it's a solid choice if you're looking for a quick, satisfying lunch in the area.

I'm no stranger to Chloe's Garden on Hwy 7, but this was my first time visiting their new locationand it definitely has a very different vibe. The space itself is interesting and thoughtfully decorated, with comfortable seating and a large screen TV. The menu offers a great blend of classic Hong Kong bistro dishes alongside more fusion café-style items like croffles and Eggs Benedict, giving it plenty of variety. Prices are on the higher side but comparable to other places selling similar items, with good portion sizes and solid presentation. I ordered the pan-fried chicken with green oil instant noodles and was really impressed, no skimping here. I was surprised that it wasn't overly salty. The dish was very flavorful, with chicken that was both tender and crispy. It also came with a drink; the hot lemon tea was enjoyable. I also had a bite of their omelet, which was nicely done, and the toast was perfectly toasted. The restaurant was clean and service was friendly throughout. Even at 10 a.m., there was a good crowd, but the venue is spacious with plenty of room to accommodate more guests. Overall, a great experience and a solid addition to the area. Bonus is the ample parking.

Recently stopped by this Hong Kong style restaurant for lunch after hearing a positive review from some acquaintances that visited for afternoon tea. My review is somewhat mixed. The good: The interior is spacious and fairly clean, with a huge wall-sized screen. Interior design gives off a modern design, unlike the classic HK cafes that tend to be simpler in the decor. I enjoyed their BBQ pork/roast pork over rice dish, and the food came out quickly. The "could be improved": Their HK milk tea just wasn't it - the tea wasn't strong enough, and it lacked depth of aroma. Their fried noodle/rice dishes were mid - didn't have enough of that wok hei flavour, and for the price, I didn't think it was worth it.

Mixed impression. Preuve is what toys exist for a nice HK diner. Nothing was bad. The beef dry fried fist rice noodle was actually really good. It's a staple of HK diners but this one stood out. You got that wok hay... and the portion was good. Service was good on one end and missed on another. Initial seating and taking it orders and giving suggestions was great. But they messed up my drink... it was busy lunch hours so it's likely an aboration. Contemporary decor better that most in this category.

We never liked the Hwy 7 location, but since this was "new", we thought it might change our perspective but unfortunately, it failed again. I was quite surprised when I heard they were opening a second location. We came here for dinner and were quickly seated. We looked at the menu and on average about $15 per cha chan tang rice dish. When I asked if the sizzling plates (about $23) would come with rice or spaghetti (because it wasn't mentioned on the menu), he said no. It was my first time hearing a sizzling plate without carbs? lol The restaurant was big (and clean), but they only had two servers, who were both inattentive. I had to wave for about 3 minutes because they never looked up or only looked at the tables closer to the cashier. The dishes came fairly quickly and portions were decent. We got the baked spinach and sole fillet spaghetti and their signature pork chop rice. The first dish was very well seasoned and tasty. For the second dish, the tomato sauce was awfully sweet; it felt like they used a lot of sugar but the pork was tender. A table next to us ordered some roasted pork and I knew it was part of the combo menus. I was able to track down another server and asked if the $18.80 dish would be similar portion? He said they ordered two items, so it looks bigger but the "regular" size should be smaller. Instead of asking if I was interested, he said "why are you asking?". Clearly I was interested, so I said I want to order LOL! Unfortunately, the skin looked crispy but it was extremely chewy. The meat itself was soft and not overly salty. The dinner combos are ridiculous priced for what they offer. $108 for 1/2 chicken, sweet and sour pork, veggie and steamed "sea bass" (but the translations say it's grouper which is false advertisement). There are cheesecake and chiffon rolled cake desserts on the menu. It's made from an HK couple called C'est La Vie and they're always part of the popup markets. Definitely worth trying and supporting! Would I come back? Definitely not.

*** Soft Opening Lunch Review *** Old Montana's location converted to modern HK cafe, second location to Chloe's on Hwy 7. Beautiful interior design, high ceiling, designated waiting area, clean and spacious with private rooms available. Breakfast not available yet. Lunch a la carte order only, no combo. Tea time combo available. Dinner combo available. Great service from hostess, to servers, to coffee barista to manager. They all came to greet me and asked for feedback at one point. A modern twist to your typical HK cafe style food. They also offer BBQ meats, western style coffees and breakfast items such as waffles and eggs Benedict. The stir fried Kwai Diu was average though. The Fah Gau chicken soup was good, the chicken was de-boned and I didn't feel thirsty afterwards. The Pig's Intestine was good and crispy but could be thicker. All the servers worked well together and was polite and speedy. What I feel needs improvement: - Although the tables were spaced out, I felt like I was constantly being hit by customers walking by me or the dish cart swinging by me. There were times when I got close to being splashed when a server was cleaning the adjacent table. - We were only two people but we ordered 3 dishes and 2 coffees and the 2-seater table was not spacious enough for us to eat comfortably - It could be a very hot afternoon and a full dining room but the AC felt weak and I saw servers sweating while I did feel stuffy as well - The ladies' restroom was out of service at the time but the manager offered to guard the men's washroom for patrons to use Overall, I enjoyed the service and the food. I'd definitely return to try more of their menu. Much better than their old location.

Roasted duck on vermicelli (ordered to be on thicker rice noodles , but was out of stock so they accomodated for my customization)

Food was good, but similar to typical Hong Kong cafés. Out of the 5 dishes we ordered, none in particular was extraordinary. This spot used to be a Montana's - the interior is unrecognizable and very spacious compared to most other Hong Kong cafés. Recommend for large groups. Given that it was during the soft opening , we are understanding that they are still ironing out any processes. For example, a mishap with one of orders - the wrong dish came twice and we ended up eating the wrong dish because we didn't want to wait or chase anymore. Eventually the correct dish came when we finished eating. The servers in charge of this were patient with us and did follow up when we asked. However, there was one employee who seemed to answer questions curtly and short. She didn't come across friendly like the rest of the staff and audibly called one of her colleagues out. However, as this was still soft opening, we understood that the stress and new environment was most likely a factor. When we found out rice noodles were unavailable, they were quick to accomodate for our request for a different carb at no additional cost. I would be interested to try again after the soft opening phase. If they could open up their menu to include combo options , that would also make it more appealing for diners looking for value.

Came here to try their afternoon tea on a weekday. We ordered the beef brisket rice noodle in soup and the salty beef egg sandwich. All afternoon tea combos come with a drink and you can add 4.5 for an ice cream red bean slush. Taste wise, the beef brisket rice noodle is average. The good thing is the rice noodle doesn't break apart when you hold it on your chopsticks which means it's fresh. The beef brisket is a little bit of a disappointment as there is many small pieces. It would be better if the brisket is bigger and not in small pieces. They added a few pieces of ginger from the stew which was a surprise. The salty beef egg sandwich is average. We didn't ask for it to be toasted but it came toasted but it is ok. They didn't charge us extra for it but normally it's 50 cents extra. Service is good. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks and the server helped me to pick it up right away. There is a utensils drawer on the side of the table so that's convenient. The renovation is completely new. Very clean and spacious seating.

Came by for a late weekend lunch. This location is in a large plaza with plenty of parking available. Upon walking in, it was about half full though it still took a minute to get seated. We ordered three things: - Stir-Fried Beef Rice Noodles with XO Sauce, and two items on a limited menu (until December) which was a salmon fried rice and three bbq meat rice (chicken, roast pork, bbq pork). The two specials each came with a drink so was decent for value, though it seems they were ending November. The fried rice and rice noodle arrived first, and I thought the fried rice was the best dish of them all, with a good amount of fish. The rice noodle was rather ordinary, especially considering that it was an "upgrade" with XO sauce though it just tasted like regular chili sauce was applied. Lastly, the bbq meat rice, while including many pieces was very fatty and oily, and we had to follow up for the order. Probably won't be coming back anytime soon, unless there's some other special that is on offer.

TLDR - Ambiance 5 stars. Service 4 stars. Food 4 stars. Overall 4.3 stars. The new Chloe's Garden is located in a relatively affluent area, between Angus Glen and Richmond Hills. I guess Chloe's elaborate decoration is to appease this clientele. Personally, I think it looks more like a higher end restaurant than a higher end HK cafe. Food wise, what stood out to me was the cooking which was slightly contemporary, and a lot less oily. If you prefer the old time cooking with oil, cream and thick/starchy sauce, this cooking style isn't it. If you want somewhat/maybe healthier HK cafe dishes, you would try Chloe's with an open mind. The baked pork chops rice had high quality, fresh and tender chops. The sauce was tomato delicious though I wished there was more cheese. The seafood linguine again featured lot of quality shrimps and tasty sauce. Both dishes were well portioned. Service was attentive and effective during our stay, and was a touch better than some HK cafes. Pricing from what I observed was two tiered. It was as if Chloe's had a split personality. The noodle and rice dishes, i.e the typical lunch orders, costed $15 to low $20. Dinner combos prices covered a WIDE range. I was quite confused when I studied the menu, so I couldn't form an opinion on the pricing.

It comes with 1 hot clay pot rice, 1 soup noodle, and a decent sized snack. A few choices for each of these items. Check the menu out. Honestly can't ask for more and this is why it gets jam packed easily at lunch time. Good news is that people are usually eat-and-go without sticking around for long. So even with the crowd, you might be able to get a seat in 10~15 min during the busiest time. Alternatively, quite a bit of people simply call-in for takeout's and Uber. Awesome price-value, decent comfort food with great taste, jam-packed at lunch time. Not a bad choice.

It was really oily, though the noodles were really nice and chewy. I found the pool of oil quite difficult to get past though. Next we got the classic beef noodles. We went for the flat, soft noodles which were great. As they state though, it gets really soft and mushy after a bit, so I recommend maybe sticking with the regular chewy noodles. The beef was soft and the radish was sweet. The soup base was comforting in a way but also very heavily salty. I couldn't tell if there was just a lot of MSG in there, but I couldn't sip on the soup much. We also ordered the shan xin bao, which is a fried soup dumpling of sorts. The breading was really thick and the soup was quite sweet. Not really the taste we were use to. We also got the pig ear and cucumbers cold dish. This was absolutely swimming in oil as well. They chop up black bean in there for flavour and it just added a really bitter taste. We didn't end up touching most of this, opting to bring it home, rinse it, and re-season it ourselves instead so the food wouldn't be wasted. All in all, the service is nice. I think the baked rice could be worth a try, but there's a lot of great noodle options in the area I personally prefer. As always, give it a try! They have a lot of great reviews on Yelp, so it potentially just doesn't suit my preferences.
