I support mom and pop shops, and this one is definitely that. Ran by sweet, honest and hard working folks. Don't get me wrong - the food was good. But a few things: - the food took SO long to arrive. We were the only group in the restaurant and we waited over an hour before our food finally arrived - [[HIGHLIGHT]]there is no AC in here, and just small spinning ceiling fans. It was so hot the day we came - 100 degrees outside so it was boiling inside while we waited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - the food had a lot of carbs, wish there was more protein. I think if I crave this, I would do takeout instead of dining in.

Was very impressed with this small operations business. The wait was very minimal but the quality of food was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very quit inside and lots f menu options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Chicken Kabob was my choice and it was not a bad one at all. Will definitely be back!

We got the family platter for four. All the meats were well seasoned with a lot of flavor cooked to perfection. Service was great and fast. Every time we crave kabob, we come here. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

I believe this establishment has undergone some management changes but unconfirmed. The menu has been updated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating has also been updated as previously they were not taking dine in due to COVID.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been here previously and order the Bolani and the steak and chicken plate. When I placed my order today, it was lacking flavor on the chicken and rice. The chicken was dry and didn't have flavor either. It also appears that the food portion has become smaller as well. This wasn't the case on my previous orders before all of these changes. I hope this was just a one time case of inconsistency on the food quality.

How did I not write a review for this place yet? I live in Honolulu but my sister and her husband took me while I was visiting. In May and then again in June! Their Bolani Bread was awesome! I don't know what's in it but it's so good. They also have a dish with eggplant and a yogurt sauce that I really enjoyed. Their sauces are so good! And there's a dumpling that was good too. This place is on my must visit when in town list. I just ate there again. Please patronize this local small business. They are such nice people with great service! They don't have done in anymore because well, good help is hard to find and keep.

So I used the "Surprise me wheel" to find this place. I wanted something different for lunch today and well I did get it. This did have some good reviews so away I went. It went from a regular restaurant to just take out only which could have been a clue. It is in the crowded lot of the post office. I found a space and saw the place with an open sign on it. Inside all the tables and chairs were stacked up thus showing take out only. No one was inside. I went towards the counter and found an old man sitting by the register. I saw the menu on the counter and looked for what I wanted. I saw that they had a combo with all three of their meats. So off I went. Chicken , beef and lamb. I asked him if it was going to be good and he say it would be. It would be almost 15 minutes and he said I could pull down one of the chairs if I wanted to wait inside. I just stood around and watched the TV blaring the Trump rally coming up just after the shooting. Soon after my food was ready and I took it home. I was disappointed, all of the meats were overcooked and dry. The chicken was the best but still bad. The beef and lamb were horrible. The beef pieces looked like little miniature T bones. too bad they weren't cooked right. Too long sitting on the stove under foil waiting for people to come in. Oh well I gave them a try. It was not cheap either at 19 bucks I doubt things will change since I don't think they get the volume of customers anymore since it's take out only but who knows. Maybe better next time. Good luck

Had the house special and it tasted okay 6/10. It seems like it is a family run restaurant. It is takeout only. The white sauce was very runny which I didn't like. It did not add any additional flavor to my meal. The meat was a little dry as well. Not sure if I would try again.

Feeling like having some Kabob? Well, look no further! This place in my opinion has the best Kabob! It's so good that I forgot to take any pictures of it because we were so excited to eat. It comes with 2 large pieces of Kabob when compared to others similar places around Elk Grove. But it's not just larger, the flavor is on point. This place is located in the Post Office Parking lot. They don't do dine in anymore, so keep that in mind when ordering from here. This is a family run place. I usually see only 2 people taking orders and cooking. It's cool watching them cook their food right in front of you. They have nothing to hide. You see all your kabobs getting cooked right there, freshly made! When you want some Kabob, definitely try this place out!

New owners, prices went up, portions got smaller and quality and taste went down. The last owners had great food and price was reasonable. I used to eat here atleast a few times a week. I don't mind if the price goes up as long as the food is still good. Chicken was very dry and had no flavor whatsoever. Unfortunately will not be going back.

And having also gone to thos place for lunch, and because I really enjoy Mediterranean food. I decided to give it a try for dinner. Stopped in around 8:30 and were the only patrons in the restaurant for that part of the evening. I looked over the menu and asked several questions about dishes, and decided on the two meat plate. I ordered the chicken and beef skewers option, which came with rice, a vegetable medley of shredded lettuce, cabbage and carrots, and pitabread with a green sauce in the side. Total: $21.00 Everything was fine until, I took a bite of the rice and realized there was plastic in my food. *see picture* I hadn't eaten much of the food yet, and unfortunately was pretty much dknewith my meal after that. Overall: Female staff member was really nice and very helpful in. She was also very social. Meal was a little on the pricier side in my opinion, for a two meat Kabob plate. Jist good g off other similar Kabob dishes I get being around $15. Food tasted good, but I couldn't get past the plastic in my food and didn't finish the rest. And unfortunately most of my food was left when I found it, since it was near the top of rice.

We ordered Afghan food from Ariana Gyros & Kabobs for delivery…read more We frequently got foods from Ariana before COVID, because it's the best Afghan foods in our areas. We returned many times since then but today, the old memories of why Ariana was one of our favorite restaurants returned. We ordered our favorites: Chablee kabobs, Chicken kabobs, Qabuli rice, mantoos, and Bolani. Qabuli rice or Kabuli pula, is my favorite. The basmati rice is served with the tender lamb meats. It's fragrant, eye-pleasing, and a good balance of sweet and savory spices and ingredients. It surely fits to be called the national dish of Afghanistan. Mantoos (Afghan dumplings) is the must have in my family. It's filled with ground beef and onions, covered with chickpeas sauce and tzatziki sauce and sprinkled with mint. It's refreshing. Bolani (potatoes turnovers) served with my favorite chutney that's made with cilantro, vinegar and garlic. The kabobs were tender and delicious as expected. I always like the foods from this restaurant. Today, the food arrived piping hot!! We did mostly takeouts from this restaurant for years. I noticed the restaurant did a lot of takeout orders but not many eating in. We did dine-in once, a few months ago. The restaurant updated their interior. The interior felt too dark when we went there for lunch. While the restaurant looked cleaner, I wasn't sure what the theme was. The spaces didn't seem to blend together to create a feeling of comfort. It's not enticing for us to stay to enjoy our foods inside the restaurant. But we like the foods so we will return for takeouts.

The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and they made us feel right at home. I ordered the 3-meat combo with the beef tikka, chicken kabob, and beef chapli, and every bite was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The beef chapli was especially outstanding! My wife ordered the chicken tikka masala, and it was rich, creamy, and packed with authentic flavor. We also ordered the bolani the eggplant dish, and it was fantastic. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. Great prices, outstanding hospitality, and some of the best kabobs we've had in the area. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

What is the point of an appetizer if it's not served before the main dishes? We were very disappointed. Taste wise, bolani was very thin and bland. Barely any potatoes or stuffing. The bread was very thin too. Kunduz Kabab's bolani is top tier, we should've just had dinner there. The Chapli kabob and Karahi chicken were also disappointing, I think the quality has changed perhaps with new management. We also noticed the waitress kept gloves on, the same gloves she would handle payments with, she used to hand us our plates and cutlery. That is very unhygienic and quite frankly appalling. You're spreading germs onto customers' plates. Will not be returning.
