Went for my brother & sister in law's Anniversary last week. Specifically to hear Chenzo!!!! (He was AMAZING, as always!!!!) We asked to be seated in the bar area, (so we could see him) when we made the reservation, but when we got there, they attempted to seat us somewhere else. We explained why we requested the bar, and we're shown to a great table!!! While the steak was very good, it wasn't as good as the price would lead you to expect!!! Having been to Smith & Wollensky in Miami the week before, I had a very good frame of reference of what a great steak tastes like!!! Now, the service.....very mediocre, at best!!!! The waiter was new, and, as my brother commented....he should stay in Medical School!! Lol. We enjoyed the evening, more due to Chenzo than the food. Overrated. Snooty, old, bigoted clientele and the staff eagerly accommodates their vile nonsense while looking in your face while wearing an ashamed look on theirs. Pathetic! You're part of the HUGE problem that's plagued America. Stop accommodating vile, racist behavior. My husband and I will not be returning to your dusty establishment. As far as the food goes, just alright. Not worth the price. There are much better restaurants, with better food and a nicer ambiance for the same price. Decor, food, and service were terrific. Our servicer, Sandra, know everything about the menu and was able to answer any questions we had. Drinks arrived promptly, orders were taken, and Sandra's coordination with the kitchen made sure appetizers, main course, and desert, were all properly timed to arrive at our table when were we ready. Been here three times before and enjoyed the food even if the staff was pretentious. Now we won't ever come back. Had a reservation tonight but it was so freezing cold inside the restaurant there was no way to enjoy a meal there with my 87 year old mother. The hostess couldn't have possibly been any more rude if she tried. They couldn't fit us into any of the 14 empty outside tables even if we were willing to wait. I paid for parking pretty much to tell them goodbye. I called Ruth's Chris and they got us right in and it was awesome. This is my 2nd time at Chops. The ambiance, food, and live music make it a great restaurant to visit. The tuna tartare was very fresh but the stone crab was my favorite! I like the wine selection and we ended up picking The Oracle which had a smooth taste. All in all, I will keep coming back to try different dishes. read more

Came here with the family to celebrate a special Mother's Day a bit early as some of the family was traveling soon. Our son had recommended this place as he had been here a couple of times for the happy hour meals. On arrival the place looked really nice and we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. So far so good! We were greeted by our server, a tall young man ,and we ordered our drinks and 3 of us got our drinks immediately and it took over 15 minutes for the other 2 members of our group to get their drinks...... as we just sat there there watching our ice melt! Finally our server showed and told us he was going to fetch the other drinks and told us the bread would be out shortly and then he would be back to take our orders. We decided to order our dinner right there and then fearing we might lose our server again! The bread arrived which we wolfed down as by now I was bordering on becoming hypoglycemic! 4 of us ordered from the Prix Fix menu which was reasonably priced and I decided to go with the iceberg lettuce starter, the 20 punch ribeye and plain mashed potatoes. I had ordered my ribeye to be cooked medium, and what I got was a rather firm, chewy, salty ribeye cooked Pittsburgh style(burnt on the Outland bloody in the center). I felt when one pays $52 for a steak it should be amazing which unfortunately this wasn't. The wifey had the pepper crusted filet and was meh. Both the boys ordered the sirloin strip and it was just okay. The desserts were the saving grace as the Chocolate Soufflé was very good as was the Cheese Cake!! Throughout our meal our server was MIA! We had to ask for a refill of our drinks which were empty throughout our entire meal. The only saving grace was NAIMA who was most attentive and kept our glasses of iced water full at all times ...... specially since the a/c was on the blink! To get the bill paid again took another 20 minutes of waiting! Even though our server was polite I wish he was a bit more attentive as the place was not busy at all! I really wanted to give this place a better review but when one spends approx $ 370 on a dinner one wants to leave with a smile on their face and a yearning to UPDATE! 5/29/2019 AS OF YET I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MANAGEMENT IN SPITE OF EMAILING THEM THIS REVIEW! The reason I don't give five stars often, is because of restaurants like this one. This place deserves six stars in my opinion. My wife and I went last night to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I picked the restaurant off yelp do to the reviews I read here. One stood out. This reviewer went on about how great the restaurant was and the service for her Brithday. At the bottom of their review was a response from the restaurant telling them thank you for the review. The Restaurant said they enjoyed having them. This tells me someone at Chops reads the reviews. Anyway besides the reviews, when we walked in they treated us like we were the most important guests in the place. When I booked it I did not tell them it was a special Night. After we were seated the waiter (Dennis) asked and my wife told him. The food and the service was the best I've had. We had the Porterhouses for two. After dinner we easy ordered desert. I am a huge fan of Chops. It ranks up on the top of my list for restaurants in Boca Raton. Usually people ask me where I go out to eat in Boca and this is the only establishment that I'll mention. Liliane and myself had dinner here a few weeks ago. It was our first visit back in over a year. We had a late reservation at 9:30 as I like to eat on what I refer to as Miami time lol!! Once you walk inside it is fairly dimly lit and there is music playing. The décor to me is the quintessential steakhouse look. They have live entertainment in the bar area on the weekends as well. I find the bar area to be on the small side, which I don't think is a bad thing. It allows for a more intimate setting in my opinion. We've had the same server by chance on our last few visits here. He goes by Zohan (yes like the movie). do yourself a favor and request to have him take care of you. Zohan is friendly, professional and provides an exceptional experience every time. He actually remembered us from our last visit. Well he remembered Liliane and not myself lol. Some of the items that we have had here are the following. The bone in filet mignon which is a no brainer for me whenever I see it on a menu. It really shines here though. The rib eye has also always been fantastic as has been the case with the porterhouse. The steaks are always perfectly charred and well seasoned. Seasoning is one of my biggest issues with steakhouses as I feel most just throw the meat on the grill with no seasoning what so ever. They also have always come out prepared as requested so we've never had to send any of them back. Our side choices have historically been the roasted garlic whipped potatoes. They're so creamy and light. The mac n cheese is also a favorite of ours. The cheese flavor is spot on and it isn't overly creamy. Truthfully I could just order this on every visit and leave happy. I also love the truffle parmesan fries. They are fried up perfectly and they are generous with the parmesan cheese in my opinion which is awesome. We've also had the main lobster mac n cheese on a few occasions. I rarely eat any type of seafood but I really enjoy this dish. I enjoy the salty and sweet profile that it offers. Dessert wise my absolute favorite is the white chocolate banana cream pie. Ahhhh man it is friggin heavenly. It has also won the prestigious James Beard award. That speaks volumes in itself. The chocolate cake has always been enjoyable as well. They also have a good happy hour here and it is available every day of the week as opposed to just Mon-Fri. It's great to order a bunch of small plates with a group and share them. It has been a while since we have been here for happy hour though. I remember the burger as being very good. The reasoning behind my rating is mainly based on the consistency here, both food and service wise. I've never had a bad or mediocre meal here ever. I feel that the staff here goes out of their way to make you feel valued and appreciated. That's rare in Boca, thanks to the fact of the a holes that are usually nasty to staff members everywhere they go. All in all this is the best steakhouse in Boca without a doubt. We (3) were looking forward to an over the top steakhouse experience based on previous visits. Unfortunately Tuesday nights dining experience was a total disaster from service to food to management being cavalier and actually not caring at all for his customers or the Prime brand. I also hold the kitchen accountable for turning out poor quality bone-in filet, petit filet, and shrimp scampi. While I really do not care for sharing these types of reviews, someone has to speak up when an expensive (way way overpriced in this case) establishment picks your pocket and serves tasteless dry steaks, disturbingly terrible shrimp (size, quantity, taste and texture) and could care less when it's customers kindly share that the meals are not okay. Our server took so long to come back to the table after the food was served that one of my guests had to go an find him. By the time he came back the worst of the entrees, chef's special (petit filet & shrimp scampi), the meal was over for my one of my guests. What made this so terrible was the even after quietly and nicely sharing the entre issues, the waiter did not know what to do and we then asked for the manager. The manager did come by, with attitude as if he could not be bothered, which sealed the evening's experience with a never to return for all three of us. Oh my goodness. Those of you who know me well know that Joe's Stone Crab is my favorite restaurant. I've yet to find anything that compares to Joe's, but my dinner at Chops Lobster Bar sure came close last night! I dined at Chops with my parents and another couple they are friendly with. The other couple appears to dine at Chops quite often (lucky them!) because everyone in the restaurant knew them, including our lovely waitress Carter. Besides the top notch service (the waitress even came to look for me when I stepped out for a bit too long during a phone call!) the food was absolutely incredible! After the tasty bread basket (the onion bread is the way to go) we started our meal with the steamed jumbo alaska red king crab and the chops half jumbo signature lobster tail. After both of these apps this was already a 5 star restaurant in my book. For those of you fried calamari lovers out there you must try the chops half jumbo signature lobster tail, which basically tastes like fried calamari, but oh so much better because it's deep fried lobster, which has been dipped in butter. Healthy...ummm, not quite. Delicious...yes, very! As for my main meal I ordered the jumbo stone crabs...after all, they are only in season for another 10 days! And they were so good that I want to go back and have them everyday for 9 days until they disappear on me. And the perfect side to go with the perfect stone crabs...sweet potato fries! Dessert was just as fabulous as the rest of the meal. My mom and I enjoyed a sorbet with fresh berries that was so refreshing and the bite I had of my stepdad's banana creme pie was out of this world. 24 hours later I'm still in a stone crab food coma, which hopefully will hold me over until stone crab season starts again in October... read more

Finally I decided to write a review about my experience at this restaurant... I used to love coming here for a big lobster tail and a nice filet. One night I ordered my usual lobster tail broiled, it was much smaller than usual and it was extremely salty as the chef dropped a saltshaker on my lobster, but I was starving so I started eating some of the lobster but it was too salty to eat (I had my Boyfriend tried it and even he said it was too salty, he loves salt and he always dump extra salt on everything...) so we told our server about it, but he didn't believe us and he made a comment saying I ate the most of it, but I wasn't asking for a free meal, I just wanted to let the kitchen know that the lobster was too salty and inedible and ruined my lobster, but our server said he will let the manager know, No!! We wanted the kitchen to know!! And the server came back and said we will give you "one" dessert on the house, only "one" dessert? The lobster wasn't cheap it was about $60 at least!! He didn't even offer us to take it off of the bill either! But he ended up giving us one more dessert, so we each got one dessert, however he needs more training for customer service, this is supposed to be a 4 star restaurant, we were coming here quite often and the maitre d knows us here, but our server made me feel really bad and feel like I was lying to get a free stuff. Anyway this was very disappointing, but I wanted to give another chance so we went back few times after this incident, but every time we went back, the food wasn't great, I had Japanese Mastuzaka beef onetime here, it was very pricey, I'm from Japan, and I used to have this beef when I was in Japan, it is fantastic and one of the best beef in the world, but another disappointment, it was different from what I had in Japan, very fatty and wasn't good at all... Last time I went back couple of weeks ago, I had warm spinach salad (used to be my favorite), but it only had a couple of pieces of bacon and mushrooms, I barely tasted them and the portion got smaller, and my fish (black cod) was very small and burned, they said it's the caramelized miso glaze, but it had the burned taste, it was "burned" not caramelized (but this time the manager came and he offered me another fish or take it off of our bill)... Also filet was kind of tough not tender as used to be... Another disappointment... But I love the bread, their bread is always consistent. This restaurant is a class act. Please be sure to dress well if you go here. I went about 6ish on a Friday night, and was there during their 4-8 happy hour. They have fried baby lobster tail on the happy hour menu that was delicious! It came with butter, lemon, and some type of cream sauce that was really tasty! A must try! The bar was pretty full with people in ages of 30-40ish on average dressed well. In addition, I had a Cesar salad which they put the anchovies on top for you, but I told them they could hold them back. The salad was okay to me. The lobster bisque soup was interesting as you can order it with or without lobster. Who wants it without? So I ordered it with and they come and put the lobster in the bowl right in front of you and then pour the bisque on top. It was verrrry good but I like my soup hot and it was not, it was warm. It was nice and thick though! Around 7 a band came on with a trombone player and singer. They were PHENOMENAL. They also don't stand in one place as they move around the room. Not too loud, not too soft, good quality sound. Songs varied but definitely old schhol They have a band Wed through Sunday apparently but I am not sure if it is always the same band. Service was on point. Refills were on the table before empty and oh, they give you all types of hot bread including raisin! When I asked where was the restroom, I was walked to it. I must say this is a definite must go back to. My only recommendations are soup should be hotter and beef up the ceasar salad a bit. Not enough to take a star off though- yet. If it happens again, then I will. Parking is a bear, by the way. If you choose to valet the restaurant will validate at the table for you so you don't have to pay to park. I can not speak to the cost as I was fortunate to not have to pick up the check, but I will say guys--you need to be taking your quality dates here for sure!!! Ridiculously good food. Our table got steaks, wiener schnitzel, tuna tartar, herbed fries, truffled potatoes, and oysters. Everything was absolutely sensational. For my meal specifically, the steak was one of the best I've ever had. I got the Porterhouse for 2 (like a complete glutton) and bite after bite was pure bliss. That 48 days of dry aging is some serious stuff. The steak was juicy, flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly seared, and cooked to a lovely medium rare as requested. Also, the service was impeccable. They were constantly checking to see how things were, though not being too obnoxious about it. They were also very helpful with questions. For example, when someone asked about the Wagyu Kobe strip, the guy went back to the kitchen and brought out a raw one to show us how nice the cut was. Chops is pricey, but you get a lot for the money. I've probably never had a better steak experience than here, and I've eaten at quite a few steakhouses here in NYC. What more can you say? Enjoyed the food. I loved the live music, as we were tucked into the bar, having no reservation and looking less upscale and less 80-something than the rest of the guests. It was still quite comfy. The wait staff is completely chaotic. We had a lovely lady whose thick Eastern European accent was not off-putting, but her understanding of English compromised the order a few times, and finally an already overburdened waiter had to step in for her and fix things. I would drop it two stars for the amount of chaos and the price at which they sell that chaos, but the live music was a win, so up one it goes. We went on Saturday night for our 30 th anniversary. We both ordered 2 lb lobsters. If they were two pounds then I'm the king of England . They were more like 1 1/4 . We been eating lobster for years . My wife's lobster came out smelly so she sent it back . I ate mine anyway. When her second came out the manager came by and said he would comp us because of the mishap . Then after dinner my wife felt sick and ran to bathroom to throw up . When the bill came they only gave us a credit for $25 on a $68 lobster. That is not a comp to me . We called the manager over and after 10 minutes he came and when my wife said she throw up and questioned the $25 credit instead of a full credit he said he did not believe she throw up from his lobster. I was just there for happy hour tonight. I have been there to dinner several times in the past and can attest that the lobster is outstanding. Tonight was more casual so we did not want a heavy meal. The happy hour selections of appetizers & drinks were great + we snuck a seat at the bar which was almost impossible. #BAM The happy hour prices are amazing for the value. Our first experience inside the restaurant was outstanding! Every one gave us top service and dinner was excellent! We don't mind paying for excellence. This time Saturday night we had a table of 4 outside and everything was nothing more than average. I will start by stating the beer was not cold we had to ask for a chilled ice bucket to keep them in. Service was slow, we had one waitress who had 3 more larger tables with needy patrons, the waitress was nice considering. After awhile waiting for our food, apps were just ok, king crab wasn't as fresh as we remembered. Three out of 4 meals arrived first waited for the 4th a little and then also waited much later for the sides (very small portions) Sea bass in broth was so small it was like a soup app, Salmon dinner, the portion was also very small (like for a kid), the steaks were good but you can have those anywhere!, overall our meal was $500.00 and honestly this meal could have been memorable as it did first time we went there and we highly recommended this restaurant to all our friends but instead nothing was outstanding in our minds this time. In terms of high-end (aka high priced) steakhouses, I'd rank Chops somewhere in the low-middle tier. At 5:30pm the place was empty, but by 6:30 it was packed. I came with my family and were seated right away (as I said, the place was empty on a Sunday). I'd say the service was pretty good. Our waiter was very nice, and attentive, our waters were constantly refilled, and things went smoothly overall. Toward the end when the place got busy I could tell they couldn't pay as much attention to us as I would have liked, but I won't penalize them for it. We came during summer, and they had a special three-course menu for summer. For my appetizer, I started with the Fresh Maine Lobster Bisque Au Cognac. They pour it into your bowl right in front of you from a sauce boat, which is a nice touch to the service of it all, however, half of the soup is left inside the boat, and the portion already is small. Other than that, the soup is fantastic, really creamy, light, and delicious. I got the 12oz Prime New York Strip Sirloin Steak for my main meal. Sadly, I was not impressed. It was a steak, but not a steak worth $50+ (yes I realize I got an appetizer, side, and dessert as well, but still, the regular menu has the same thing for basically that price). It just didn't have much flavor, and the pan drippings didn't add much to it either. It wasn't quite bland, but I don't know what the word is that I am looking for. Needless to say, it wasn't worthy of it's reputation. I was able to try a bunch of different sides so here's my quick hot take on them all: Roasted Garlic Whipped Potato - Excellent Pure Creamless Corn Mash - Tasty, but unmemorable Creamy Curly Mac & White Cheddar - Cheese was great, but the macaroni was bland Creamed Spinach - Extremely pungent minty flavor, a bit strange Mushrooms - Phenomenal I tried two desserts, but the one I liked much better by far was the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Souffle Cake. Normally I don't like to get chocolate cakes at restaurants because they overdue it on the chocolate, however, this had so many good layers of flavor it was easily the highlight of the meal. It's warm, and gooey, and the perfect dessert for a chocolate lover. The other thing I had was the CLB New York Style Cheese Cake. A very basic cheesecake, that was very heavy, thick, and rich with a few strawberries on-top. Honestly, nothing worthy of a place that has such a high thought of itself. In terms of the price, I think they really overcharge here for what they give. A perfect example is the bernaise sauce which I ordered with my steak. It cost $2 for the sauce, and the portion size they give you is a joke. I could barley eat 1/4 of my steak with it, luckily my family shared theirs with me. Nevertheless, that's the point, this place charges more for less. Even the NY Strip on the summer special menu was a $5 up-charge for something I found less then par. Our waiter said that this was mainly just for a tasting menu, but cmon, that's just a way to sell me your other products ala carte. Listen, when I go to a place and am going to drop over $60 on a meal, conservatively, treat me like a VIP, not someone who you just want to reach into their wallet and kick out. A few highs, but a lot of lows that really leave me with a bitter taste. With Ruth Chris's, and Truluck's within walking distance, and Morton's not too far away, I'd say if you want to spend over $60 on a steak dinner, maybe go there..... Ok 5-stars, but it's really 4 1/2... I've been to Chops a bunch of times since they opened years ago and it really is a 5-star experience. I consistently have pretty much the best bone-in ribeye of literally anywhere every time! All of the food is great. But it's not cheap by any means: that big killer ribeye is $78. The service is top-drawer: truly committed professionals who take their job of ensuring your experience will be nearly flawless v. seriously. This last time, though, I had an astounding experience which, I think, really crossed the line. It was my annual office Holiday party so our server knew we were in for a good time. He knew I always get that great ribeye and this time he suggested that they had a fresh order of white truffles and would I like the Chef to come out and dress the steak with fresh-shaved white truffles? Now I've become a huge fan of truffles recently so I consented to the truffles. When my steak came out it was absolutely perfect and sure enough, someone came out from the kitchen, didn't say a single word, didn't even make eye-contact, didn't engage me in the least with something like "Good evening! I'm Chef So and so... may I interest you in some fresh white truffles to enhance that steak?"... he just started shaving the truffle onto the steak - and he did dispense a decent amount maybe 12-15 slices - and then just disappeared without a word! Again the steak was epic but I couldn't pick up the taste of those truffles even if I took a slice by itself - and I know what flavor to look for. Ok: not the end of the world by any means... until I checked the bill at the end of the party! $78 for the steak... and $90 for the truffles!! I mean I fully realize where I'm dining and what I'm in for when I go to Chops but IMHO that's out of bounds. We had a fabulous time and even with that I still give 5-stars. Just awesome. 8 pm reservations...rolled up, said our name, and they wished us Happy Anniversary and showed us right to our table, going past all the people waiting (suckers ) :). From the moment we arrived at Chops our experience was fantastic. A small band playing in the bar, lively ambiance (not a super stuff can hear a pin drop place), and a really cool decor with the wood and subway tiles all over. I'm shall I say 'picky' about where I sit in a restaurant (hey, just want that ideal experience) and they brought us to a perfect spot mid restaurant . Jason our waiter came over and he was a great the entire night. Nice, not too pushy, and recommended some great items. I had their vanilla old fashioned cocktail. Being a fan of smokey old fashioneds, I enjoyed this drink but have had better recently at other bars. Wife has their gold digger drink.....quite tasty if you are into fruity drinks. Jumbo shrimp cocktail $16. 4 shrimp. Two sauces. At $4 a shrimp they were good...meaty....but still just shrimp. Fresh though. Shared a chopped salad per Jason's reco.....gobbled it up. I had their trio sampler. Salmon, Lobster tail, and crab cake. Dear lord yummy. The crab cake was one of the best I ever ever had...hardly any filler and ton of succulent crab. Heck yes. Lobster tail was served with drawn butter that was being heated constantly in it's own little warming dish. Cool (or shall I say 'hot') touch. Jason also brought some hollandaise sauce over for the salmon. My wife had the black grouper and one of the best I ever had (tasted). Ordered the corn mash side and the brussell sprout leave and mushroom side. Ordered the small, and yes, it was small. I guess I'm used to one size sides that come just a bit larger....was I hurting for food? Heck no, so this was ok. Then on the house they gave us any dessert we wanted and we went for the toffee pie. I'm mean seriously, what could be wrong with this? Service was incredible. There when needed, cleaning off tables with that super cool scrapy tool, and was there just the right amount of time. All wearing jackets. Ok, so after dropping $200, this isn't exactly your I go here every night place (although with how packed it was I'm sure there are those folks!), I could go again as soon as the special opportunity arose. i went to eat here with my wife december 24th. the lobster tasted like rubber the server was nice enough to change it but the second one tasted like rubber also and the fillet minon had no flavor. worst december 24th food and for $240 dollars not worth it at all. capital grille is much better. read more

Me and the BF came by for a pre-dinner bev. We were expecting to walk into a very uppity boca type place and while it is a very high class resturant, we came unexpectedly during happy hour. They have a happy hour EVERYDAY (aka my favorite thing ever) from 4-7. Joyyyyyy!!! The bar seats were full but those had lounge type couches and chairs at front that were empty so we got a couple glasses and hung out, outside. I was pleasantly surpised at how busy it was inside and noisy. Bustling with peeps chatting and a musician was setting up. Definitely a place I will do back to but my wallet can probably only deal with happy hour for the time being! read more

First restaurant we have been to since coming from NY over a week ago. Kudos to the management and staff for their careful and effective handling of social distancing. All the tables are comfortably spaced and the sanitizing proc3ss is on the money! Besides that.... the meal, as always, is impeccable. Oysters, Porterhouse for 2 and NY Cheesecake. Top Shelf. I'm very surprised the ratings are not higher. I've tried lobster bisque in many SoFL restaurants and none of them come close to Chops! The salmon with crab is awesome. The steaks are excellent. I'm a pretty serious food guy, as both an amateur chef and avid restaurant-goer. This place is probably one of the best options in Boca, but that doesn't say a lot, really. We tried a couple different food offerings, my wife and I sharing two apps, two entrees, and two desserts. All were good; none were life-changing or particularly memorable. Their steak was average for a place of its caliber. It didn't compare to my own reverse-sear or sous vide steaks. But it was fine. I'd say something similar of the lobster. We had the baked stuffed lobster and it was good, but baking isn't the best way to cook lobster. A little more innovation on making a baked-style lobster through another method might do better. The lobster bisque was also decent, but you don't find any chunks of lobster in it, which is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to a lobster bisque. If I'm not getting chunks of lobster than I think you're doing it wrong. Service is super important at a place with this price-point. And it was only okay. Our waitress was MIA a lot of the meal and kind of batty. One of our app orders was either misleadingly described or wrongly understood by her. We didn't complain because it wasn't that deep, but again, at this price point these things shouldn't happen. I was also surprised not to see any half-bottle wine options. Again, not everyone cares about this, but when your date isn't drinking, it's nice to have the option and I'd expect to see those offered from a high-end steakhouse. If money is no object and you want a solid but not superb meal, then check this place out. If you're a really sophisticated foodie, then you'll probably be a bit let down. read more

I ordered a wedge salad and they asked if I wanted it split and they bring me a plate of chopped brownish lettuce with a few crumbles of bacon and tomatoes served with a blob of blue cheese dressing, terrible presentation which I had to order more dressing cause it was dry. The crispy lobster appetizer for almost $40 is served with honey mustard, which was ridiculous and drawn butter on a breaded dish, how imaginative. The filet was raw, not medium rare. The key lime pie tasted more like stale cheesecake. The manager was completely rude and we were told that we couldn't order any more drinks because there is a 5 drink limit at the table. I guess we were taking too much of their time as we ordered many dishes and they needed the table after an hour and half so they'll make any excuse to kick you out eventhou our check was $400 at the moment for 2 people. This is consistently the best steakhouse in Boca. Great cocktails, interesting wine list, and the best porterhouse around - what else could you ask for. I'll tell you what - a 5 star bathroom facility. They have that too. I like to have prime beef and a prime poop and there is simply no place that can offer this combo like Chops. read more
