Kung pao vegetable delight fired rice and chow mein

new to this area. I checked for good yelp reviews for Chinese food restaurants. This one had the best reviews. So we went ahead and try this place. It's a small family owned restaurant in a shopping center. It family friendly, clean presentable. The menu is clear and detailed what is each meal. We were served in a timely manner. Now for my review on the food. The food was delivered fresh and hot "off the stove" which is % My vegetable delight was too soft over cooked and serve in a brooth. My chow mein wasn't the best. My fired rice wasn't "firied rice" it was steamed with some veggies. It wasn't traditional fired rice. The kung pao was okay. But not great. We didn't order any drinks because we had are own water. So I wasn't going to pay for another bottle. We spent $33. not bad. QUESTION: would I come back? NO it was an experience but I won't. But that's just my experience.

The hot and sour soup is supper runny and no flavor. The only good this the chowmain. The sesame chicken has no flavor.

Was honestly super excited to try this place out in the photos look good but when getting my food, it's absolutely tasteless. The only thing good thing about it is the chow mein. The Sesame chicken has no flavor and the Kung pow chicken is gross. Also, the eggrolls were soggy, and the hot and sour soup was very runny and had like a little to no flavor. Very disappointed.

Stopped in for some takeout since I saw they had Lanzhou beef noodle on the menu (rare find in Reno lol) but I decided to order the Szechuan beef instead. Huge portion and loaded with veggies like water chestnut, broccoli, bamboo, and black fungus. Service was also really quick and I was out in 10 minutes. Very tasty and I will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

Their menu has appetizers, starters, and of course sushi. You can do à la carte sushi or all you can eat ! Everything was super fresh and extremely good quality. Some of the rolls were a little heavy on the cream cheese but nothing too outrageous. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to a lack of quality service. We had to flag servers down multiple times for extra sushi sheets, water and table settings

I only ordered off the "Authentic Szechuan Gourmet" menu and highly recommend you do too! I wanted to venture out a little so I got fuqi feipian (spicy cold beef and tripe) and it was incredible, as were the wok fried green beans. The cumin lamb and chicken wings were also full of flavor, and well executed. The service was pleasant and very accommodating to the group, we had a person with a peanut allergy and they let us order stuff with the peanuts on the side, and knew about the allergens in the chili oil. I'm looking forward to another visit so that I can try the Mapo Tofu, and spicy boiled fish soup.

The shrimp, beef and chicken was an explosion of flavors in our mouth. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Now, the sesame chicken sauce was very delicious, but I must say the Chicken could have been better. Some pieces were soft and tasty but some pieces were not soft as if the chicken was not fresh. The sauce definitely was a perfect sauce full of flavor. We are definitely going back to try more dishes. The lady that served us was very sweet. She checked on us frequently. She wanted to assure all our needs were met. The restaurant is clean and has a pleasant peacefulness about it.

What we ordered: The whole octopus A mixed seafood tostada One fish taco I was very surprised at how delicious the octopus was. It was a little on the oily side, but it came to the table sizzling. It was tender and delicious. My wife really liked the fish taco. And my son enjoyed the tostada. One thing that was interesting, the salsa. The chips and salsa they gave you, the salsa was extremely spicy. I can take some heat, but I can only have a little bit of it. The fish taco came with some salsa Verde, and it was even spicier than the red.... Not sure if it was just a batch thing or if they just serve extremely spicy salsa. This place is a little bit on the expensive side, but we really did enjoy the food in the service. We will definitely return to try some of the other seafood!

Unfortunately, the clam chowder was terribly watered down and had a noticeable "fishy" smell the moment I opened the lid. And before anyone says seafood is supposed to smell pungently fishy: no, it's not. If it smells bad, it's usually because it's not fresh. For a small bowl of clearly watered-down clam chowder that didn't seem fresh - and somehow cost around $20, more than some of the best clam chowders at well-known coastal seafood establishments - I'm annoyed enough to write a Yelp review, which I rarely do unless I'm especially impressed or especially offended. I'm offended.
