Sweet and sour soup is bitter, Chicken Chow Mein doesn't have no flavor.

The food lacks flavor, took too long, service could improve as well. The hot and sour soup doesn't taste like sweet and sour, it's too bitter.

We had OA sushi a while ago and have been wanting to try the Chinese food side and we were finally on that side of town at dinner time. They have a decent menu, we decided on the combo plates so we'd get to try the fried rice & chow mein. Overall each option was full of flavor, my husband said he only wished the general chicken was a bit spicier, but he really liked the sesame chicken as well. The restaurant is beautiful, well kept and clean, and the staff is incredible - accommodating and kind. They were very busy with take out orders which was great to see! We will definitely be back!

King Kung Pao Beef Combo Lunch with hot Hot and Sour Soup

Going to start off by saying the Sushi side is my favorite. Because Min hasn't been there lately, it's not where I want to eat. This place is amazing, they wrapped my food so it didn't spill. Hot & Sour Soup had all the usual suspects and tasted average. Fried rice was very bland sad to say. Ordered Kung Pao Beef. Top of tasted very bland till I started dipping in sauce below which tasted good. Also ordered Mongolian beef. It was really sweet and had lots of white onions. Came with chow mein which seemed bland. Meat on both was really good and not super chewy. Loved the fact they had chili oil. The egg roll was a huge mistake in packaging! They put in in the box on the rice which caused it to become soggy.

I decided to try OA Chinese for a quick takeout lunch and I'm glad I did. Ordering was easy, I just called it in but they also offer online ordering on their website which looked easy to navigate. I ordered on a Friday around 11:45am and it was ready in 15 minutes. From the look of the restaurant setup, the Chinese food side is more for takeout, though I'm guessing one would be seated on the sushi side of the restaurant to dine in. The food was good, I got the vegetable bean curd which came with a separate container of white rice. I got the tofu fried but had the option to have it soft. It was tasty. The portion was big, at least 3 meal sized servings for me. It wasn't overly salty. I'm looking forward to ordering from here again. It would be helpful if the menu had more detailed description of what each dish contains.

We ordered Beef Chow Fun, House Special Pan Fried Noodles and Twice Cooked Pork. All were very delicious. We couldn't help ourselves, but order although we were there having AYCE sushi. We took the rest of Chinese food home. Quick and good service.

This place is decent. The servings they give you are monstrous for sure. I ordered the Mongolian beef with chow mein and steamed white rice with an order of pot stickers. The Mongolian beef was pretty decent, the meat was tender and the sauce was good. Lots of onions. I like onions, but this was an excessive amount. The rice was decently fresh, you would be surprised at the amount of places that serve stale rice. That sucks! The chow mein was nothing special. Cheap and greasy, but still sort of tasty. The pot stickers were actually ok as well, but I really enjoyed the spicy pot sticker sauce they came with. I added some more dried chilis to it for extra pep.

Solid little go-to neighborhood Chinese takeout option. This is my most convenient, local option for Chinese food. There have been stretches where I have ordered from here weekly, or even twice weekly. I wouldn't say this is the best Chinese cuisine in Reno, but it's a solid, reliable, family owned restaurant where you can't count on a consistent experience. You can also count on generous portions for a fair and affordable price. My favorites are the Chicken w/Broccoli, Sizzling Rice Soup, and Egg Rolls or Crab Rangoon. The Pork Chow Mein is also a popular choice. Little Known Fact: The restaurant's name (O'A) is a combination of the owners' children's' names, who are also frequently helping out behind the register!

EAT THERE!! If you love Chinese fast food, you'll never go anywhere else, ever. I've eaten Chinese from New York to Los Angeles and this sleepy spot in South Reno has got my attention. They have a sushi spot attached, however, I have not tried it yet. The chow fun? FIRE The chow mein? FIRE The pot stickers? FIRE The rice? FIRE Average prices from $10.00 for the combo and $12.00 for al la.

okay, here we go.... Proceed with caution! I went with a friend to lunch and she had decided here. First, let me say it looks clean and is connected to the sushi place next door. We both had lunch specials and an order of "Crab Cheese Stars". These looked perfectly golden. They do not have a lot of filling and the filling is VERY a sweet and liquid consistency with small fragments of crab... definitely not was either of us was expecting.. Soup was included in our lunch specials. I had the egg flower soup that was mayorly lacking any flavor except an underlying plastic flavor. She has the Hot and Sour soup that also did not have any spice or flavor at all. I ordered General Chicken and she ordered Cashew Chicken. Both came out very fast and with loads of rice. We thought this could possibly be some redemption.... Nope. The chicken tasted like mold making you question your life's decisions... and the vegetables were slimy. You would think that at least there would be some covering up of flavor but nope. this left a mold flavor in your mouth from the first bite. Her Cashew chicken was the same but with more slimy mushy chicken and the large pieces of zucchini were slimy and did not smell good either. We both let the server know and she was not helpful at all. She took the food, did not offer another option and brought us the bill stating "this is what you owe.". As not to make a scene I handed her my card. Swipe, there goes $40 as I could feel my stomach starting to churn and the color draining from my face from the couple bites I had. My friend was feeling the same was and she luckily made it to the restroom and threw up the bites she had. I made it down the street before having to expel this poor choice. We spent the rest of the weekend sick and nursing Pedialyte.

More of a Take-Out than Dine In location. I recently tried the O' A Sushi and saw there was Chinese attached and wanted to check it out. It is a clean modern look with only two 4 person tables. I'm sure you can sit over on the sushi side if needed but looks to be designed more for Take-Out. The service was good, they are looking to hire more help, which would help as they only had the one person today. I was able to order quickly and received my food quickly. The Pot Stickers were good, nice size and full of flavor. The General Chicken was fresh and tender, the flavor was average, could use a little more spice, the Fried Rice was just warm, not hot like everything else, it was actually disappointing. This would be a good place for a quick lunch break or Take-Out but I wouldn't say it's a destination spot like their Sushi connected next door.

Mushy aka "Sweet and Pungent" chicken.
    Kathy T.

Food: terrible! Worst thing I've tasted since moving to Reno 8 years ago. I actually threw the dishes out. Tried to get through the "sweet and pungent chicken" thinking it might grow on me, but it didn't. It was sweet and mushy. Also, Was supposed to come with rice but it didn't. If there was rice in there, I never located it. Might be why it was so disgustingly mushy. Just Gross! Also ordered the pan fried noodles with chicken. Also very terrible. Im pretty sure the "chicken" was actually breaded pieces of chicken skin, YUCK! Part of the noodles were burned and the other part was sopping wet from the most tasteless sauce I've ever eaten. No amount of hot sauce or soy sauce would help this pathetic dish. Ambiance: Meh. Floors are absolutely filthy. It's in a strip mall so how nice could it be? I wasn't expecting much and in that respect, was not disappointed. It's attached to their sushi restaurant which was very busy but also, not much in the way of ambiance. Service: A joke. Non-existent. Prepare to be ignored. The person who took my order was too busy to even mention that my food would take about 20 minutes to come out. I ordered to go. You'd think she would've told me how slow their service was. After about 15-20 ish minutes, I saw someone bring it out from the kitchen, not knowing it was mine but it sat there a while and I got tired of waiting so I asked a young man who was working, how much longer for my order, and he looked around and said, "it's right here"! It had been sitting there for at least five minutes; I could've been home in that time, discovering how terribly disappointed I was at how awful their food is. This was $30 wasted but lesson learned. I will not be back to give them a second chance. My food was disgusting and there's no recovering from how bad it was. Don't waste your time or money here, Reno has so many other great options for delicious food and great service.

Served hot (how I prefer it), the chowder was full of flavor with Clams, Potatoes and I think some mushroom. I thought the texture had a nice creaminess to it. Some in our party didn't care for it, but for me, I thought it was pretty good. A friend had the Ceviche. A couple of Shrimp top the dish, but it is mostly tiny bay shrimp. Other than the larger shrimp, the dish was unremarkable and not worth the money. We moved on to the fried zucchini. This dish was fresh from the fryer and served freakin' hot. And I do mean freakin hot. The dish was fine, but a tad bit on the oily side. More on that later. All of the starters are just a fancy lead up to the main course. If you're going to do something well, it better be what you are known for. Smee's use 100% WILD ALASKA COD "Hook & Line", received from their Alaskan Leader fishing fleet. The fish is made fresh on every order. I will say the "fish" was pretty good, but I think the oil was either old or not at the righ temperature because the resulting dish was oily and just plain soggy. While served hot, it was a doughy, soggy mess. We hoped for more but Smee's did not deliver.

Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

Sucha fun spot in the legends bay casino. You do need to specify with the hostess that you want to…read moresit at the oyster/sushi bar or you will be set in the other dining area. Their menu has appetizers, starters, and of course sushi. You can do à la carte sushi or all you can eat ! Everything was super fresh and extremely good quality. Some of the rolls were a little heavy on the cream cheese but nothing too outrageous. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to a lack of quality service. We had to flag servers down multiple times for extra sushi sheets, water and table settings
