Date Night or Date Lunch with your wife. Happy to recommend this upscale strip mall restaurant. Caveat: Water view and traditional Hilton Head restaurants very near at the Lighthouse. We are surprised that Truffles continues to thrive in this location - a local's hangout - we saw lots of retired couples enjoying the menu. Thankfully, only 2 small TV's in bar. This is truly a 5/5 restaurant. Our skilled server advised us that a portion of the restaurant was hosting 15 folks and was 1/2 children. Whilst we took to avoid this section, it seemed the mothers had trained the children to behave properly; perhaps the handheld devices assisted. My dear wife would LOVE this property. While Not on my top ten list; a visit today was lovely. Years ago in driving trough Italy, I came to crave Grey days. Seems for the past 2 weeks Hilton Head has been sun drenched, and today's wind and clouds were welcome. The Atlantic Ocean is always much mor dramatic on these days. Thanks YELP! - reviews are great. We don't object to a pricey restaurant IF service, ambience, menu and food is very good. We had a waterfront restaurant yesterday, and we shall not return for several years. Given annual 2 week autumn and spring visits, we'll be certain to revisit on cloudy days. Caveat: menu is chicken centric, and we avoid all; however, Fresh Triggerfish is on the menu -- YEA!!!!! Cajun Fish wild trigger dusted with Cajun spices and grilled with butter, fresh corn salsa, coleslaw, crispy fries. Triggerfish is a highly prized, mild, and slightly sweet white fish with a firm, flaky texture often compared to crab or grouper . It is best prepared by searing, grilling, or baking to achieve a caramelized, golden crust while maintaining moisture, often featured in coastal, upscale-casual dining. Booths are too tight for many men, and this should be corrected. We love that a decorator many years ago designed this property, and we observe that a update is long overdue. Very weird and strange music -- Noise.... We shall return. 5 Stars.

A family favorite with reliable, classic dishes. Coconut shrimp is a crowd pleaser. Meatloaf and pot pie someone in our larger group is getting it. A bit dark and loud inside. The server a bit slow or nervous, we couldn't tell. Food doesn't miss. Unless you get the tuna wonton that comes out drowning in cabbage but flavors were there. Would like to start a formal petition to bring back the Oreo pie.

Came here for a late lunch on a Thursday after visiting the preserve, and it was not too busy. We ordered the chopped salad and pimento grilled cheese and tomato soup. Decent sized portions and prices. The food was fine and the garlic chive butter that they serve with their bread was good. The soup had good flavor. Nice ambiance and decor. Located in a shopping plaza that is inside the Sea Pines resort area which costs $9 for a day pass. Large parking lot.

If you looking for them perfect spot for dinner do not miss this place!!! It has been here for many years so most now of this spot.. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Betsy. She was amazing. This as by far the BEST meal I have had in years. I had the striped bass with Mediterranean salsa, green beans and mash potatoes. The fish was hands down top of my all time meals. The atmosphere was perfect. I also enjoyed a delicious "pearadise cocktail" which was also perfect. 5 stars is just not enough!!!

My favorite restaurant in Hilton Head! From the delicious food to the stunning views to the amazing…read moreservice, this spot is a 10/10. We came to Sea Pines specifically for the Quarterdeck. We were looking for something new with good food and stuff to do around the restaurant, and the Quarterdeck was the place. It takes a second to get through the neighborhood to the back near the water, which is where the restaurant is, but the drive is very nice. I like how there was things other than houses when driving through. When we got to our destination, there was a little shopping area to walk around. This restaurant is right on the water and the views blew me away! It was stunning! We didn't have any reservations, but we put our name down for two and they told us the bar was first come first serve. I think there are three different bars, but we headed upstairs to that bar. We sat immediately even though every table upstairs was taken. There were some open seats at the bar, but not many. This was the perfect place to sit! It was very bright and you could see very far out. The bartender took our order right away for drinks. I got a prosecco and my friend got a spicy marg. Both were delicious. I really liked how we were served right away and didn't have to flag him down. We were hungry, so we did put in our food right away too. We were both wanting seafood, so I got the fried catfish and my friend got the salmon. The catfish platter was huge and one of the best I've ever had. It was flaky, moist, and a great portion size...I could not even finish all of it! It was so good. My friend's salmon was also delicious, but I was more in the mood for fried food. I would have gotten this every night on my trip if I could have! After dinner, we walked around the restaurant and it was so peaceful and pretty! There is a small boardwalk, yacht club, and rocking chairs all over. I would highly recommend this place!

Hilton Head Island has seen some changes in food offerings in the last decade, but fresh and new American fusion isn't common. Enter Chow Daddy's. With two locations (the other in Bluffton) we hit this one on Hilton Head. It's a risky place to put a restaurant, buried in the back plaza of a nondescript but high-end shopping center deeeep in the wooded neighborhoods of the island's Southern tip. If you're staying elsewhere on the island, you'll find you have to pay a small fee to access Sea Pines but many people do to get to the Salty Dog Cafe as well. While it may not get a lot of visibility, it is definitely worth seeking out for the very good Latin American cuisine being offered. Out party of five arrived on an August Friday evening after making reservations and were impressed with the cleanliness and upscale minimalist vibe. Dark booths and Edison-style lighting are offset by the daylight let in by picture windows. There is outside seating in the patio (very pleasant in the shade) and a small bar open off the host area. Inside seating is large enough for bigger parties of 6-8. Definitely not a post-beach day place, but perfect for date night, or more dressy family dinner out. Service was quick and talkative; we enjoy chatting beyond food with out severs which makes the experience even better. Apps and mains were delivered quickly with good presentation. We started with the fine fresh corn dip - extra tortillas were helpful to get the last bits. Mains included a fresh and well pattied cheesburger, mix-n-match tacos and two specialty bowls - cajun shrimp with spicy fine fat prawns and an Ahi-tuna poke style bowl. The rice in both was excellent and the portions were perfect. I'll try to un-hide this hidden star with this review and encourage you to seek it out if you live on "HHi" or make your next visit. Rare 5 star from us.

I came here with a bunch of friends from my undergraduate research lab while we were in Hilton Head presenting at a conference. We had rented a condo to all stay together and this place was in walking distance, so we headed over. I don't remember what all everyone else got to eat, or much about the service, but I do remember it was a total vibe. Beachy decorations that were fun but still classy and not too kitschy, warm lighting, good music. I ordered an item probably not even on their menu anymore: pulled barbeque chicken on a hunk of spicy cornbread with a side salad. I checked online and it's nowhere to be found, but it slapped at the time, and from pictures it seems like you can still maybe order their spicy cornbread at least, which was the best part! It had a great cakey texture and some legit heat. The chicken was succulent and tender and the smokiness paired well with the salad. It seems Chow Daddy's enjoyed a decade of success after my visit so long ago. I hope the temporary closure listed on the Yelp page doesn't turn into a permanent one. It was a pleasant surprise to be reminded of this visit and my time with friends.
