We are surprised that Truffles continues to thrive in this location - a local's hangout - we saw lots of retired couples enjoying the menu. Thankfully, only 2 small TV's in bar. This is truly a 5/5 restaurant. Our skilled server advised us that a portion of the restaurant was hosting 15 folks and was 1/2 children. Whilst we took to avoid this section, it seemed the mothers had trained the children to behave properly; perhaps the handheld devices assisted. My dear wife would LOVE this property. The server a bit slow or nervous, we couldn't tell. Food doesn't miss. Unless you get the tuna wonton that comes out drowning in cabbage but flavors were there. There were 5 of us and we made reservations for 4. At the last minute a 5th was invited. They were very good about allowing an addition. We have been here many times and never have been dissatisfied. I had a special Halibut but the price point was not discussed prior to me ordering. My bad A 4oz +/- was $47 with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was excellent but I normally don't let the price slip by. The best part showing great service was nieces meal was comped because it was late. $45. wow impressive. Came here for a late lunch on a Thursday after visiting the preserve, and it was not too busy. We ordered the chopped salad and pimento grilled cheese and tomato soup. Decent sized portions and prices. The food was fine and the garlic chive butter that they serve with their bread was good. The soup had good flavor. Nice ambiance and decor. She was amazing. This as by far the BEST meal I have had in years. I had the striped bass with Mediterranean salsa, green beans and mash potatoes. The fish was hands down top of my all time meals. I can't believe I have never been here!. For me in all the years I have been coming to HHI....This is some of the best fish I have had. Place has low lighting but this makes it feel cool after a hot day.. We sat at the bar and we were promptly greeted and served. Bartender...Thomas...was knowledgeable friendly and properly attentive. Baked brie appetizer was delicious with liquor soaked pecans. Our fish dishes....the Cod and the catch of the day --Redfish...we're delicious... cod had a pesto sauce was cooked perfect with a buttery center. Redfish was lightly blackened and tasty as well. We ate here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed! I had the grilled shrimp with green beans and wasabi rice. It was so good. My wife and oldest son had the half rack of ribs and they said they were excellent. The youngest kids got the cheeseburgers from the kids menu. Portions were good sized. We got two gluten free brownies with ice cream to share as a family and honestly we could have just gotten one. They were huge! The service was excellent. Not there too much but constantly checking back and making sure our drinks were filled. We had French 75's and they were made to perfection even with two different types of Gin. Came here for lunch a few days ago, there were five of us. Cute place, great service and good food. I didn't take pics of everyone's food, just mine. Don't bother! We arrived for a late lunch and there were 3 tables occupied. No one was at the hostess station to greet us. We were behind a party of five, who decided to leave because of the wait. My wife had to go and find someone to let them know we were waiting. When the hostess or manager finally came over she said it would be an additional 5 minute wait. She asked where the other party was and when we said that they left, she couldn't have cared less. When we were finally seated, we tried to order a bottle of wine and were told that all of the 'reasonably' priced bottles were out of stock and if we wanted wine we'd have to get an $80 bottle. We passed. Food arrived, it was OK and, once again, we had to go and find someone to bring the check. There were more employees in the restaurant than customers and they were all behind the bar chatting and ignoring guests.
