Truffles Cafe was phenomenal. A good thing is the surface lot offers plenty of parking for patrons of the shopping center. Maître d' was friendly as was the attentive waiter. Portion sizes are great, and the prices are justified. The parmesan fries were a treat for the kids as they devoured every last one. I had the chicken pot pie, which was delicious. Triggerfish is a highly prized, mild, and slightly sweet white fish with a firm, flaky texture often compared to crab or grouper . It is best prepared by searing, grilling, or baking to achieve a caramelized, golden crust while maintaining moisture, often featured in coastal, upscale-casual dining. Booths are too tight for many men, and this should be corrected. We love that a decorator many years ago designed this property, and we observe that a update is long overdue. The server a bit slow or nervous, we couldn't tell. Food doesn't miss. Unless you get the tuna wonton that comes out drowning in cabbage but flavors were there. There were 5 of us and we made reservations for 4. At the last minute a 5th was invited. They were very good about allowing an addition. We have been here many times and never have been dissatisfied. I had a special Halibut but the price point was not discussed prior to me ordering. My bad A 4oz +/- was $47 with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was excellent but I normally don't let the price slip by. The best part showing great service was nieces meal was comped because it was late. $45. wow impressive. 25 years of going to Truffles. We've always been impressed by the consistency and the bar staff. Professionals....They've apparently left the building? Bummer Couple of notes... Went to dinner tonight (Friday in June) and it was amateur hour at the bar (restaurant and bar maybe half full at 8pm). Ordered medium steak that showed up rare....an apology from the bartender and same steak returned 15 minutes later barely past rare. Wife's steak went unfinished and full plate bussed by the unaware? bartender.... No questions asked, Dessert ordered to go after dinner and bartender disappears for 20 + minutes.... Possibly focused on restaurant closing? (5 people at the bar and she's sole bartender). Finally returned with the dessert and provided the bill and then stood over me until I completed the transaction. Eye contact optional apparently. Not expecting white glove service at all.... Just noticed a chasm between what we've always experienced and tonight. Please Note: could have been a relief pitcher behind the bar? We've got a long history here and as a result, Truffles will get 2nd, 3rd chances etc. Hoping this was a complete anomaly! It happens but beware. read more

Sea Pines location is the best location. I've eaten there many times. Although the last time was just OK. I hope they regain the prior excellence they had at Truffles for many years. Looking forward to another dinner here. Menu is great. We had baked Brie and tomato soup--both very good. We added coconut shrimp appetizer which is outstanding & the best on the Island. Service was spotty-server did not pay much attention to us during our meal. The worst part of this restaurant is the noise level. It is awful! We were seated in a nice quiet back room. 15 minutes later they placed a table of noisy 5 families next to us with screaming young children. No effort by them to keep it down! Restaurant managers did NOTHING. It turned a nice night into a bad night. The noise caused a low rating. Be aware of the noise level when considering this restaurant. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Truffles Cafe in Sea Pines. Our server Delaney was wonderful! She provided incredible service and made fantastic recommendations when we were ordering. We took her suggestions and were not disappointed one bit! I got the filet mignon and my boyfriend got the catch of the day halibut, and we shared the coconut shrimp to start. Came here for a late lunch on a Thursday after visiting the preserve, and it was not too busy. We ordered the chopped salad and pimento grilled cheese and tomato soup. Decent sized portions and prices. The food was fine and the garlic chive butter that they serve with their bread was good. The soup had good flavor. Nice ambiance and decor. I can't believe I have never been here!. For me in all the years I have been coming to HHI....This is some of the best fish I have had. Place has low lighting but this makes it feel cool after a hot day.. We sat at the bar and we were promptly greeted and served. Bartender...Thomas...was knowledgeable friendly and properly attentive. Baked brie appetizer was delicious with liquor soaked pecans. Our fish dishes....the Cod and the catch of the day --Redfish...we're delicious... cod had a pesto sauce was cooked perfect with a buttery center. Redfish was lightly blackened and tasty as well.
