Went here with a group during the Stanley Cup Finals and really couldn't find a place to sit. So granted the place was busy, but it taking almost 20 mins to get a beer and another 20 to get an appetizer was enough for us. We tried to get drinks from the bar but were told all the "spots were taken", so we then played pinball hoping to get a drink and food, but nobody would take an order so we left without getting anything. After the first trip, I wrote this review. The owner replied promptly with apologies and invited us to try again. We went again ( without contacting the manager to ensure an unbiased experience ) and our 2nd trip was fine. Good service and good food. read more

We have some friends who are obsessed with Christie's, so we end up here more than I would choose to. The service has never been impressive, but I do enjoy the constant drink specials. We usually sit on the patio, and I like flipping the drink cube around to check out what I'll be ordering from the specials. Lots of TVs inside and outside, and this place gets PACKED for game days so claim your spot early. The pool tables seem pretty high quality, although there aren't many of them. It's an ok bar. It's not too big or anything. I do agree with Niko that the food is greasy, but when you get the drunk munchies you don't seems to care what you eat. I actually forgot on what nite i went but it was pretty damn slow. I liked that they had pool tables not only quarter operated but normal ones where you can just play with out having to challege who ever had the table before you. It is what it is...watched the world cup match here last weekend. If you are lucky enough to get a seat for an event, it's not bad. We were at the bar and it was sssoooooooo packed. What a dump! First, you enter through the enclosed smoking lounge, I mean enclosed patio... Then when you walk into through the front door you're actually standing at a waitress stand instead of an inviting hostess stand that every other establishment has. Be careful, they may need help bussing the dirty tables... Game-watching marathon - very efficient way to see all the different teams playing but the downside is I couldn't really focus on one (not terrible). Love that it's the Ole Miss bar, amazing tator tots. Otherwise, service is hit or miss. A friend of mine works there who is a total rock star of a waitress. The girl who served us took over an hour to get our second round of drinks ordered and to us. Also, I waited over three hours for a glass of water. My friends and I dined at Christie's on St. Patty's Day after a day of parading. Once seated in the booth, a runner brought waters for the table and about 15 minutes later, we summoned a server who then took our order. Once we ordered, the waitress asked for a credit card to put on file. I thought it was a strange request as we were seated to dine and not at the bar, but given the craziness of the holiday, I went with it. As other parties were seated after us, none were asked for a credit card upfront. I questioned the server and her response was "Wow, so you really think I'm only asking for your card and no one else's? You can come look at my orders on my screen." Because of her aggressive and unprofessional tone, I asked for a manager...thinking that perhaps my encounter with him might be better. It wasn't. He did explain to me that just that morning in their preshift getting all credit cards was required or else any walked tabs would come out of their pockets. I told him that I understood, but asked him to step outside of himself, let down his defense and take note of the perception...that we, the only African American table in the entire restaurant at that time had been asked for a credit card BEFORE our food came out and none of the other all white tabes around us had been asked to do the same. He remained defensive. Never apologized. Never showed empathy. I took the time to understand him. He refused to take a moment to understand me. I'm in the hospitality industry and whether a guest is right, wrong or indifferent, you show them that you understand and hear them. You acknowledge what could have been done differently. You apologize. That's how you retain customers even after not so pleasant experiences. This is where Christie's failed and why my rating is what it is. The food was delicious. The service recovery is something to be desired. Extremely disappointed. read more

Not a huge fan, it's just okay. Mad fratty in there. A ton of TVs for Sunday games, but the channels have lag between them so you could be 5-10 seconds behind depending on where you sit. The wings and burgers are as-well, pretty much most of the menu is amazing and it's majority homemade and not frozen!! The food was about par for a sports bar. However, the service was definitely lacking. We had a large group (12) and there was zero effort on the part of the server to make us happy. My theory, her tip was already included because of the size of our group so she didn't make an attempt. read more

Truth be told this would a pretty cool place with maybe some adjustments as far as staff. Anyway..cool theme and the idea of being the neighborhood Cheers is great way to spark interest. Pretty clever to also have a name starting with "Ch" and ending with "S." Anywhosel... the layout is neat and there are plenty of TVs. The menu was adequate for a sports bar and had some good choices. The cocktails and beer menu had a great variety as well as tap and craft drinks. But the positivity ended there... please don't shout of how it's the place to be during sporting events if you arent adequately staffed to handle that volume. Definitely was full over 80-100 people inside and out. There was one server ... and I did see a bartender and some bussing staff. Not sure if they rotate breaks or if they are back there peddling on bikes to fuel the massive electricity output from the TVs but no one was around. When the server finally came she was friendly but in that I'm super busy so hurry up way. We ordered and saw her one more time.. we were there half a football game and a whole basketball game. Then she passed us on to some other server who apparently comes in after 10pm I guess... he was actually awesome.. Nice work Tony!! Food was okay... nothing great but again it is bar food. But our server was new so she didn't know much of anything any question I would ask she kind of just stared at me. I am giving Christie's two stars solely because the service we've experienced was good and it's within a free two hour public parking garage. I've tried several drinks with appetizing descriptions and found each lacking in alcohol and overly abundant in mixers. Dubious, believing I ordered a poor drink, I kept ordering others off the menu expecting them to be better. Each was far worse than the last. Thankfully, having eaten beforehand, I split the cookie and ice cream dessert with a friend. DO NOT GET THIS...unless rock-hard cookies are your thing. Seating is abundant and options for entertainment are proficient (ample tvs, pool, video games, etc.) but unless you come to order beer (usually impossible to screw up) and watch a sporting event, I suggest seeking entertainment elsewhere. read more
