Christine has altered 3 different things for me. She has done something with custom aprons and dresses. Most recently she hemmed a dress for a wedding. The quality of the work has been spot on. She charged $50 to hem the dress, I was ok with that.

Any time I'm in need of tailoring at a fair price, I immediately go to Christine's. Tucked away in a strip mall just off of Ventura Blvd, she is my go-to when it comes to alterations. The shop isn't anything fancy, but has this humble charm about it. You're welcomed by orchids and potted plants near a small seating area by the front door, but your eye will immediately be drawn to the volume of clothes that pour out all over the shop. Love the few celeb pics she has on the wall. Christine is so sweet, but she takes her business seriously. She and her team work incredible hard to provide quick, quality service - no matter the time frame. I've received a complicated dress alteration within 4 days, and I've also had pants I had perfectly tailored that I didn't need for a few weeks. Whether you need your clothes fixed up immediately or have the time to wait, you're going to get a job well done from Christine and her team.

The vest and pants were made for him!! My dress was SNATCHED.

My husband and I needed a tailor for his suits and my wedding dress. My dress not only needed to be hemmed, but also taken in. My husband needed his suits completely tailored (he recently lost quite a bit of weight and was not thrilled that his custom suits no longer fit). My wedding dress experience: I got my dress a very nice boutique on the West Side that was recommending tailors charging A LOT of money. I'm talking double and almost triple what Christine charged me. I spent some time looking into tailors in the valley, since we live on this side of the hill, and it was quite overwhelming. Christine's Yelp had a few wedding dresses pictured and a lot of great reviews, so I went to see her. The women in the shop were so detail oriented and kind. Christine made sure that I felt taken care of while she was pinning my dress. She asked a good amount of questions to help understand what I wanted. I knew I was in good hands. She even made sure to go a little shorter than I had advised because she knew I would be walking around a lot in the dress. She advised around when it would be ready and a month later, I was able to try my dress and it fit LIKE A DREAM. It was perfection and I am grateful for her work. My husband's suit experience: My husband had two suits made for him at Indochino about a year prior. It was one of those places that makes a three piece suit based on your exact measurements. The only problem is that he decided to get slim for our wedding and that meant those "custom suits" were no longer fitting him... Since I had felt so great about my experience with Christine, I recommended that we also take his suits to her for tailoring. He was skeptical, but we took the two suits in for pinning. Christine worked without any guidance. It was like she read my husband's mind. He kept looking at himself with the pinned garments and I could see how excited he was for the finished suits. She was mindful of his body type and made sure it would look sharp. I was thrilled. When we picked up his finished suits, he was over the moon. He loves his suits and the green one looked amazing on our wedding day. Christine and her team are so talented and mindful of their work. We are glad we stumbled on her and her tailoring services. My husband is collecting a pile of items that will need her work soon. THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRISTINE!! You helped make us look soooo good for our wedding in Italy.

I took my dress there last week for alterations. Before they started, I specifically asked multiple…read moretimes if they were able to properly alter this particular gown because of its design and construction. They repeatedly reassured me that they could and that there would be no issue. Based on those assurances, I trusted them with my dress. Unfortunately, they cut the dress crooked. I didn't notice until I wore it to my event, so I ended up wearing my dress crooked because of their alteration. I went back the very next day to show them the issue and ask for a refund. They told me they would fix the dress and that when I came back to pick it up, they would also give me a refund. When I returned, the dress was STILL crooked and had not been properly fixed. They also refused to give me the refund I was promised. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I questioned why the dress was crooked, they started saying it was because of the dress itself. If they knew the design of the dress made it difficult to alter, they should have told me that BEFORE altering it. Instead, I asked them multiple times if they could do it, and they reassured me that they could. At that point, I asked them to compensate me for the price of the dress because their alteration had damaged it to the point where I could no longer wear it. I went back and forth with them countless times for over a week trying to get a resolution. I spoke with Joshua, one of the managers. Mario was the person who performed the alteration, but I did not personally speak with him. According to their "store policy," if they paid me the full price of the dress, they would get to keep the dress. I found this policy completely unreasonable, especially when the damage was caused during their alteration. I told them they needed to do something to make this right because I should not have to lose both my dress and my money because of an alteration they assured me they could do. In the end, they only paid me 60% of the price of my dress and returned the dress to me. After going through all of this, I was extremely disappointed with how they handled the situation. I had no problems with Steamers Cleaners before this, but their customer service throughout this entire situation was HORRIBLE. The biggest issue for me was not just that the alteration went wrong, but that they initially reassured me they could do the alteration, then blamed the dress when something went wrong, and made me fight for over a week to get any kind of resolution. Their promises mean very little once something goes wrong, and unfortunately, I learned that the hard way.

Lily Bridal, where I purchased my wedding gown, highly recommended them, and I'm so grateful they did. My gown was a stunning Kitty Chen designer wedding dress, and together with my cathedral veil, it was an investment many thousands of dollars. It was incredibly important to me to trust an experienced alterations expert with something so special, and from the very first fitting, I knew my dress was in the best hands. Marine and her husband were incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming throughout the entire process. They listened to every detail I wanted, treated my gown with the utmost care, and made every appointment feel stress-free and enjoyable. They met every deadline and every wish I could have asked for. For some context, my dress was bought as is from a sample sale. As someone who is is not very tall in height, the dress visibly needed hemming. The wonderful team of Luxury Alterations successfully and beautifully hemmed my dress to my liking without losing its integrity. Even with the inches taken off from the front of my dress, they were still able to allow a beautiful train in the back which looked beautiful as shown in the photos. Additionally, I also wanted to be able to move around during my wedding dance and reception. Marine suggested a 5 point bustle that allowed me to move around and dance comfortably throughout the night. And she did it beautifully without making my dress look frumpy. It was like wearing two dresses for the price of one. As a budget bride, I was worried about cost as many times the price of alterations is as much, if not more, than the price of the gown. Fortunately, I was quoted a very fair price that, to my delight, was less than the cost of my discounted dress. My wedding was 8 months ago but I still look at my dress with awe and I have Luxury Alterations to thank for it.

My wife and I got married a couple months ago and this review is long overdue. I wanted to wait…read moreuntil I had some pictures to post before I wrote this review, and it took us a little while to get our photos (good work takes time!). It's also a super long review, but for Suzanna it's worth it. My wife is actually the one who recommended me to Suzanna. I was stressing out about where to take my tuxedo. I've worked with several tailors around the area and while all of them were pretty decent, none of them wowed me. It didn't help that I had some unusual requests that I knew would get some judgment and pushback from most tailors (I wanted tux sleeves and pant hem at about 4/5 length, VERY short). That's when my wife recommended Suzanna. My wife actually brought THREE of her dresses to Suzanna. My wife also had some unusual requests and she said Suzanna was super nice and easy to work with, and was willing to do the odd requests after a small amount of explaining. Encouraged by my wife's experience, I gave Suzanna a visit. She was sooo incredibly nice and friendly. She was an absolute darling. I explained to her my untraditional requests, and she gave me an unsure (but still friendly) look. She made a joke that she's gonna have to make me sign a waiver promising that I won't write a poor review if she does what I'm asking, LOL. I promised her I knew what I was asking for, and that I would not blame her for the outcome if it looked bad. She agreed to take on the job. The whole exchange was very funny and friendly. She also has great memory, I told her my then-fiancée had come in 2-3 weeks prior to drop off her dress and she still remembered exactly who I was talking about! She made sure to give me a pickup date for my tuxedo on a different day than my fiancée's so that I don't accidentally see her dress. When she told me the price for those several major alterations on a total of 3 pieces of clothing (tux top, tux pants, tux shirt), I guffawed. Suzanna asked me if it was too much. But no, it was the exact opposite. I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. It was more than fair. My then-fiancée and I went to pick up my entire wedding outfit, just 2 weeks later. When I put on the whole tux, I couldn't believe how nice everything felt. It felt so premium and so comfortable. It was literally made for me. It fit exactly how I wanted, it was perfect in every single way. Not only did it make me LOOK good, it made me FEEL comfortable, it made me FEEL good and confident, everything a well-tailored outfit should be. It was clear she is extremely talented and has an eye for her craft. So much care and effort and precision went into each article of clothing, into each stitch. And it's not just my tuxedo either, every single one of my wife's wedding dresses came out perfectly and flawlessly. She loved how each one felt and flowed. Suzanna literally did both of our entire wedding outfits. You can tell from the pictures I've posted that Suzanna did an incredible job and the outfits not only looked good in person but also came out beautifully in photographs. We'd like to thank Suzanna sincerely from the bottom of our hearts for making us look so good and feel so good for our wedding. Thanks for all the kindness and caring. Thanks for being understanding of our weird and unorthodox requests and executing our vision. Suzanna played such a big part of our wedding and her beautiful work will forever be immortalized on the photos we hang on our walls and pass down to our children. If you want your clothes done perfectly with tons of care, if you want to look and feel confident, elegant, perfectly fitted for your special day or any other occasion, definitely come here. Suzanna is an artist and an absolute joy to work with.

While he did a good job, each skirt was $60 to shorten each skirt a few inches, AND it was done by machine. Both he and Heather were very nice, but I thought at the time that was excessive. I didn't do my research and check other alternatives in the area. $60 to shorten each a couple of inches on the machine, maybe 15 minutes maximum....(1 picture of hem from the underside, it's going vertical 4 some reason, the other one what u can see from the outside, going horizontal....) The machine did do a good job, but $120 for 2 skirts on a machine is excessive.... So after I read Neewin's response, I brought in another garment to hem and get taken in.
