(Combo meal). They told me it was going to take a few mins so after I paid, I told them I'll go park and come inside. There were people behind me and I didn't want to hold people up. After parking and going inside. I didn't have my cup to get a drink yet so I was waiting at the front just... kind of watching the staff. I think two of the three, including the one who was at the window and took my order, must of been on break because they literally did not do much but stare back at me and the food/drink they were eating/drinking. The manger was running back and forth. After he gave me my bag, it was just the biscuit sandwich. So I asked "where was the side? " . He passed me the side, then I asked" where do I get a cup for drinks?" The manager didn't realize I never had the cup because he thought the staff member at the window gave me my cup. In the bag, there was no napkin or spoon for the side. Or maybe I just didn't see them next to the soda machine because I was getting annoyed at this point and just wanted to leave. As for the food, barely any icing. The chicken was mid. The meat has a reddish tint to it like it's supposed to be a spicy chicken ? It was confusing to look at. The biscuit was slightly sweet and crusty along the edges (the best part of this whole thing). Mac and cheese was mid. The whole combo was overall mid. Admittedly, tables and chairs are clean. Lots of space. They have an outdoor area too. They have a small window in the kitchen area where you can watch them make the dough. Free parking out front. I would take out the ai in the drive through. I did not like it at all. If I have to wait for a bit, it would be good if they have a spot I can go to while they take care of the customers behind me and I'm not holding up the line for 5 minutes.

The mala fries were definitely crispy as well, and the sauce they put on it adds a nice touch. The portion of the fries were a little small however, but they hit the spot. It's a small place somewhat tucked away where there's not much traffic, but I'd love to see this restaurant get more exposure. The air inside felt okay, the AC blowing felt a little humid so I wasn't too sure what that was about. Service was quick - you just order at the front, find a seat, and they bring it out to you hot and fresh. I'll definitely come back for the chicken sandwich as I've never had it at a Korean fried chicken place and it does look pretty good. Overall great food, I'd recommend it!

An order is either wings OR leg & thigh (no breasts). Perfect! I love dark meat! My favorite sauce is the Garlic Soy which tastes a bit like General Tso sauce. I've had the French fries & Coleslaw for side items (they dont have vegetables) but the main focus is the chicken. I use this place as a to-go spot but they do have some tables for dine-in. This would be a great place to pick up to go chicken and pair it with some side items at home. In my view, the fried chicken is undisputably good!

I had the Grill cheese and a piece of Spicy and regular Strips. To my surprise they were all very good and well seasoned. I went through the drive through and Service was good and with a reasonable time limit. There is outdoor seating, I didn't notice if you can go inside. If not it's all taken away orders. Yes, I will visit them again. I would like to request that they go to Cooking with non Seed oils. Which is healthier for us all. Go with Beef Tallow, avocado oil. We were told the order would be ready in 20 minutes, so we began driving there. It was fairly easy to find this Layne's location right off of Hwy 6, but the parking lot was confusing. Driving in, there was construction in the area and we had to go through a separate lot before we arrived at the restaurant. This particular location doesn't have a dine-in option, though there is the option to dine outside under the covered patio. There's an order and pick-up window, as well as a drive-thru. We pressed the button on the wall to let the workers know we were there to pick up our order. It was really windy the day we went and it was a bit uncomfortable waiting for a worker to come help us. We had to wait a few minutes; it wasn't the end of the world but we started to wonder if anyone had heard us. Thankfully, someone did come and brought out our order. We got the family pack, which came with 20 chicken fingers, a generous portion of crinkle-cut fries, 4 Texas toast, 8 Layne's dipping sauce, and some ketchup packets. The food was still hot and fresh when we opened it at home, and it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

I did ask them to remake my chicken and they did and honestly they made it super fresh and hot for me and it tasted way better than what they had given my boyfriend and I beforehand. Still, not okay that they had served me that before but at least they were nice enough to fix the issue. The Mac and cheese was beyond mediocre with little to no taste. The actual chicken seasoning was underwhelming but maybe I just don't like how thick their breading was on the chicken. The breading really took away from everything else as it fell off the chicken too easily and it was crispy in some areas and soggy in others. Also, there about was no one in there when we went yet all the booths were dirty with food and the guy at the front was just faced toward the kitchen on his phone the entire time we were there (besides for when someone came in to order or complain). The place honestly just felt sticky and dirty so that was pretty disappointing. I honestly couldn't see myself coming back here the food really wasn't that great.

From the first bite, it brought back memories of proper Karachi-style broast -- crispy, flavorful, and juicy without being greasy. You can immediately tell this isn't just a generic take on broast; the seasoning and technique are spot on and feel genuinely authentic. There's a lot of care in how the food is prepared, and it shows. If you're looking for authentic broast with real flavor, Hen n Bun is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Houston.
