Just like other build your own fast casual spots you pick what type of meal you want. They have a variety of things from taco plates all the way to a 9" "small burrito" if you aren't that hangry. There is wide selection of proteins to suit any taste and dietary needs. What's unique is that they have some signature styles to top off your meal or you can choose your own toppings you want. If you don't want to hassle with building your own meal then you can choose from a list of featured selections under "more good stuff". Your able to upgrade your meal to add chips, salsa, and a drink or order those items a la carte. Breakfast is served all day here and they have a kids menu. We were excited to see a fast-casual taco place open up just around the corner from our house. We've tried it twice and been disappointment both times. First time we got a bowl and a California burrito. The California burrito lacked meat (expecting a 3:1 meat to french fry ratio). The bowl tasted bland. We thought maybe it was cause they recently opened so we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The second time (months later) I ordered a breakfast burrito for my husband with a side of habanero salsa to go. I am pretty sure my husband got some food poisoning from the breakfast burrito or the salsa. There are plenty of other great food options at a similar price point around the area (cava, urban plates, urbane cafe, chipotle, panda) so you can skip over this place. read more

Decided to try this place since I was walking by and saw it was new. I got the veggie breakfast burrito and it came with a free coffee! They don't skimp on the fillings and I liked that the eggs and potatoes were cooked fresh. It is Chipotle-style where you pick and choose your toppings. Since I got the veggie burrito, it came with guac free of charge. Not the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, but it definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving. Chronic Tacos is having a soft opening tomorrow but they handed out free small burritos from their food truck in front of the new Pasadena location today. CT started in Orange County in 2002 and they serve a California Mexican style food. The menu includes tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and loaded fries. They have regular burritos and breakfast burritos. Protein options: carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, al pastor, mahi mahi, shrimp, vegetarian or breakfast. Small burrito: A 9-inch flour burrito with seasoned Mexican rice, tiny bit of cheese, whole pinto beans, chopped al pastor, choice of salsa (red or green). It was free and premade/wrapped in foil. The pastor was fairly seasoned though it had no char, smokiness or sweetness from the pineapple that's usually cooked on top of the cone of al pastor. The pork was tender enough. The rice and beans were fine. The red salsa was spicier than I expected and also a bit too salty. The burrito was very plain but they have more options on the full menu - including cabbage, lettuce, French fries, Baja sauce, onions, cilantro, etc. The grand opening is 4/15 and the first 100 people will get a free breakfast entree.
