I really wanted to like this place....I went there this morning for brunch. THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE . The wait for a table wasnt long, considering we didn't have a reservation but once we sat down, the food took forever to come, all the food came at different times, salty AF, my drink came when I had almost finished eating the water had floaties, . our coffees never arrived at all! We also asked 3 times for soap in the bathrooms! There were 5 servers none of them serving....if the 15% gratuity was not included I would not have tipped. read more

We got chubby chicks to cater my sister baby shower brunch the scheduled pick up time was 11am. We got to chubby chicks at 11 and was informed that the food would be another one to two hours because allegedly their ovens broke. My brother-in-law had to leave his own baby shower to go back to chubby chicks to pick up the food. we attempted to call a head of time to see if the food was ready the phone did not work. Once we received the food it was TERRIBLE. The food was cold the pancakes werent done the chicken was hard the waffles were cold. and to top it off the owner was extremely rude and only offered a $50 gift certificate for their establishment. we decided to go up there and speak to the Owner directly and she was terrible she was dismissive very rude ignored us and started to get loud saying she gave half the money back which was false she gave $200 back when we spent well over $400. The customer service sucks and the owner has the worst attitude ever. the decor was nice and all , and I thought it was cool that they had some vegan options on the menu. Theres not many vegan places near me and this place was only 2 miles from my house so I figured my bf and I would check it out. He got the veggie burger and fries and I got the chick'n and waffles. The chik'n was undercooked and dripping in grease , as was the burger. He said the burger tasted good but on the other hand something tasted off about the chik'n and waffles. Huge portion but I'm pretty sure these people don't know what vegan means. I felt sick after eating there and my guess is that they fry the vegan food in the same fryer as the meat , and for all I know they use animal fat as oil in the fryer. Its a nice gesture to start having vegan options but if you're going to do so make sure that those options actually contain no animal products. Theres other people like me who have been eating this way for over ten years and will get sick if my food is contaminated with animal products. the food was good for the most park except that they don't tell you that their French toast isn't really French toast, it's basically a funnel cake French toast because they bathe the French toast in that batter and then deep fry it . The real reason for the 2 starts is because of the service. The waiter was so ghetto and rude. She wouldn't even dissimulate her rudeness, it was awful. I placed an order to go On 6/15/2023 they did not have the item I wanted. they sent me an email telling me they were substituting the item and charging me more which they did. I called immediately said I did not want the order and a male manager said he could not help me and call door dash that's their payment system call them. which I did but this morning 6/17 my card is trying to be charged again. I went here with a party of six. When we were first seated the table was still dirty and the chairs. When customers was coming in the CFO gave them wipes to clean there own table. When trying to order they had no lamb nor truffle fries. When the food was brought out everyone food came out at a different time. The cook brought the last couple of plates and said bare with us we had three people quit this morning. The eggs was cold the oxtails was nothing but fat. My first time here and the food is delicious and presentation is lovely. I got the crab cake sandwich and fried sweet potato pie. Definitely recommend their fried fish and grits. Unfortunately our experience was far from great. Food is great let me start there. Door dash it but expect it to need to be warmed up. 1. We came in at 12:44pm and stood at the door for 10 minutes and no one greeted us. Another couple came in @5 minutes later and the employee attempted to seat them until the gentleman motioned we were there first. 2. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without a waitress, coffee, water, or a hello. I had to flag down someone to ask if we could at least have something to drink. 3. 45 minutes for something to drink and another 30 plus for our food. All the while im watching the wait staff repeatedly check on the same tables, bus tables, seat new customers, and cash out customers. Mind you im at 40 minutes not even a hello and water. 4. At now 2:10pm, the waitress comes to ask (I havent seen her since food arrived and im ready to go) if everything is ok and I mentioned i never received my bacon and she attempted to "act" like she was putting the order "back" in. 12:44- 2:40 is excessive amount of time spent to just eat. My family and I have gone to this place a dozen times. I referred my daughter to use them for her baby shower and the brunch food was subpar and was it wasn't ready until 2 hours after we were told to pick it up. The guests were eating breakfast food at 2 and it was over at 3! We were told to talk to the owner when she would be there the next business day. Worst experience ever don't waste your time don't waste your money. Service was terrible. Had a party of nine and we went to have brunch. Two hours later have passed and we still was not served. I think everyone in this establishment needs to be retrained and taught how to deal with customers. If I could give the rating a -0 I would. The sad part is we heard so many good reviews about the food but unfortunately we were not able to taste it and we came to the place to possibly rent it for upcoming functions. I went here for brunch and was not impressed. Let me start by saying the food is good however the service is definitely lacking. I've heard about this restaurant from others and saw the menu online, which looked good. Upon arriving, we were barely greeted before being shuffled to our table. On the website it stated that brunch starts at 12:00 pm. We waited over 45 minutes before receiving drinks, and over an hour for food. The food seemed to be set up when we arrived so I don't really know why it took so long. There were several workers there but I could not tell who the waiter was, as we were never formally greeted. The chef was awesome and personally greeted everyone at the end of our meal. He seemed to be the only one that cared about our dining experience. If I could have gave it a 10 out of 10 I would! The service was excellent and the food was one of my best experiences! I recommend everyone to try th out you won't be did, the food was sooo good! I loved the salmon bits and shrimp it was the bang bang bites and it was DELICIOUS! I also had the Rich Chick and that was theeee BEST! The waffles are soo good you don't even need syrup. And last but not least the customer service was top notch, our waitress Jessica was soo attentive and very informative, she was friendly and impressionable from the time we sat down until the time we walked out the door and mind you we were there for over 3 hours lol. Went here with a friend for lunch. It was a Friday so we hoped it wouldn't be too busy, considering they close at 3, and we got there just after 1. Upon walking in, there was a hostess stand but no hostess. The waitress at the counter asked if we wanted a table for 2, to which we replied yes, and she told us to sit anywhere in a line up of 2 seats tables, directly outside what was seemingly their bar area. The 3rd table we went to was dirty, had not been wiped down, so we chose another. We were told we could scan the menu code on an acrylic card for the menu. The only problem with this is that the menu did not work when we did this, for either one of us. I ended up going on seamless to determine what was on the menu. The waitress came over and apologized for the wait, which was approximately 10-15 minutes, but we could see she really seemed to be the only one there serving and making drinks at the bar and there was a good amount of people there. We ordered a peach and pineapple lemonade and fried deviled eggs to start. We were asked if we wanted shrimp which sits on top of the eggs, and we agreed. The wait for receiving the initial order wasn't very long, the drinks came quickly and were really, really good. The deviled eggs came out with a second plate of shrimp. Here came the first issue. Shrimp was not sitting atop eggs as described. The batter on the eggs was ok, we understood the need to be unique and we had never tried deviled eggs fried before. Just 2 issues: southern deviled eggs generally have a sweet element with sweet relish added. There was no relish, which was desperately needed to offset the batter on the shrimp which was deathly salty. Additionally, we did not receive any additional plates to use to split the eggs, so essentially my friend ate from the deviled egg plate, and I ate from the shrimp plate. Definitely recommend providing plates to the table when one appetizer is ordered, it should be assumed it's being split. Also, no sauce was provided for the fried shrimp. Tartar sauce, cocktail, remoulade, nothing. Kindve missed the mark with that part. The waitress did come and apologize for the presentation not being what she described, which was fine, so we both ordered the She Got Money sandwich. Fries were good, but didn't get to eat the sandwich until I returned home due to time constraints. No ketchup was provided for the fries. Also ordered a Chubby Brunch Burger to go, for my husband. I asked him if it was good, he Indicated it was ok. The She Got Money sandwich however, was amazing, show stopper for sure. I added sweet relish to it in anticipation of it being possibly too salty like the shrimp, but it wasn't and the relish really set it off. Overall I'd say it was ok. The food was pretty good, just some customer service tweaks could be added like condiments, checking on your tables to be sure people are good, asking if they are ready for the check, smiling more, etc. They seemed quite busy though, which is good for a new black-owned business. I would also recommend frosting the glass by the bar area, or adding a partition that patrons cannot see through. I'm sure not everyone wants to see all the empty cookie bags, cookie and peanut butter jars, caramel and chocolate bottles and cotton Candy syrup when you're making drinks. Well it was bad! I would give zero but that's not an option. Let's start from the beginning...... So to start we call two weeks prior spoke to a man who answered the phone and asked could we make reservations he said yes and took our name, phone number and he confirmed it. Everything was going great so far we were excited we were ready I'm a blogger so I got all my stuff together for this experience now comes the day of our reservation we get to the restaurant. we come in we give our name to the man at the counter. He immediately starts laughing and smiling he's like oh my God I'm sorry I couldn't find your number I was trying to call you I wanted to call you I was told by the owner that we don't take reservations I actually thought we did that's my fault but y'all are here so we're going to get you seated as soon as possible right now we have a party going on and we're pretty busy but it shouldn't be that much longer we have some people leaving. OK that's fine so we waited like 20 minutes and then we're brought in for seating. We sit down and probably another 20 minutes goes by before someone comes over to take out order we ordered lots of food a variety of the menu because we wanted to experience everything so that we could give a true and honest review to people . So we're sitting there's also some ladies in front of us two ladies that are seated and waiting; that's important you'll find out why. I want to say about 40 minutes goes by he comes over he says oh I just wanted to come let you know the salmon bites we don't have anymore we ran out OK fine that's fine give us everything else 10 minutes later he comes back and it was something else that we ordered that he said we ran out fine that's OK give us everything else now we're here an hour and a half still no food and guess what no one brought us any water to drink, no one even brought us our drinks that we ordered but during this hour that we sat here we watched as people got refills on their drinks we watched as several tables were brought multiple orders of food even though they had already had their meals they were still being brought food we had not and neither did the girls sitting in front of us that we looked at (they complained and left). We flag the guy at the register, the same guy who took our reservation then laughed because it was a mistake and also took our order. He comes over says than sorry we are backed up, hey do y'all wanna hear some of my music I'm a singer so would you like to hear it. We're like OK yeah whatever fine but what we really want is our food we're hungry and we're thirsty he says let me go check on it I don't know what's keeping and we like can we at least get our drinks yeah yeah yeah let see what's keeping them. He goes away does not come back another 30 minutes goes by at this point we've already taken pictures we've already done videos we're doing videos currently because we're trying to give the viewers a experience that we're actually experiencing. We get his attention again and we're like what's going on now it's been almost 2 hours we've gotten no kind of service we've listen to your music we've watched as people sat here and got multiple drinks and got multiple platters of food we saw you all socializing with two tables that you guys are friends with and you keep feeding them we're starving the girls behind us were like that's the same thing we're saying; he said let me check on everything. He goes away we literally sat there until it was their closing time and he walks over to us and says I'm sorry ladies I'm gonna have to ask you to leave we're closing now I'm so sorry I mean we were so busy today and I just found out that they did cook all your food and the lady who set it up put it in a to go section, so the couple that was there 30 minutes ago took all of our food with their to go order. You have to be kidding me is what I'm thinking. We left, I left a review on one of their post and you know what they did; delete it and block me.
