Terrible service. It was a busy day but there were no straws available to customers at the fountain drink area when customers complained numerous times that there weren't any straws in the straw dispenser at that fountain drink area. The wings that my family ordered were very small and lacked meat. We also ordered french fries and the food basket of fries that they served us was barely full, it honestly looked like half of the amount of fries were eaten before they served it to us. Another thing to add-- my loved one who was playing the coin pusher won two cards, but got jammed in the conveyor belt of the coin pusher game, so she wasn't able to recieve the cards she won. I kindly asked the employees in the front with the prizes and cash register if they could open this machine so my sister can get the first two cards she won. They never came to open the machine so I went over again to show a video of her winning another card so they can open the machine in order for my sister to rightfully earn what she won. The employees asked me which card she won so I told them the specific card she won and gave me a card from behind their counter (and it wasn't even the correct character). They gave me a card to "compensate for the inconvenience", but I specifically asked them to open the machine so my sister can get the cards that she won and for future players (so others won't play a jammed game). It wasn't until another lady who had to go up to the to the front counter numerous times to tell them about the jammed machine did they open the machine to give us our cards. This store had a jammed game and the solution to it was simply opening a glass door and grabbing cards from a space where they were stuck (very easy to pull these cards out my sister described). The employee did not even have to use any special tools or go down on their knees to fix this jammed game. I find frustration in this because it took multiple complaints for the employees to actually take action, when the task at hand was very simple. It shows that employees do not care for individual customers and are only there to open and close the store or to just "get by", which is a very lazy approach to any kind of service. We took my granddaughter to Chuck E Cheese or her birthday ... I was concerned that it would be super packed since it was the weekend. But my daughter got there early and we were able to get 3 tables and it was decent. It wasn't too many people at 12:30, but it did start to get packed later in the day. So early is probably best... We got a package with 3 large pizzas, drinks, and 100 points for games. The pizzas were thin and they tasted good while they were hot. After they cool down I wouldn't recommend it, then it tastes like cardboard. They cut them into smaller pieces to get more out of it, which worked out. I ordered fries for about $4 and the cashier warned me that it was 8oz, which I didn't know what to expect. Well, it was about 15 fries scattered on a plate. Lol. I see why she warned me. They should have saved the plate and just put them in my hand. They come with ketchup and ranch. They were bland because they didn't add any salt. If they had salt they may have been better. The drinks are unlimited which is nice. They had pizza, wings, dipping dots, a salad bar, and a few other things. The pizzas were a little bit expensive for what they tasted like. The salad bar is about $12 for unlimited salad. I wanted it but it was iceberg lettuce which looked unappealing and with all those kids running around sneezing , coughing, breathing by the salad bar, I just couldn't... Everything is pretty much how I remember it as a kids. Chuck E. has an updated look to. My granddaughter wasn't having it when he came to take pics with her. Lol. She was scared. I won't lie, I used to be afraid also. I didn't understand that it was a person in there. To this day, I'm still not letting him touch me .... Lol. The games are 1 point each which I appreciate. You can play games by the minute or get points. It definitely makes more sense to do the points which you can use as you please. The by the minute runs out to fast unfortunately. There were games for all ages. The photo booth was our favorite. It gives quality pictures that are very clear... Skip JCPenney and come here for your family photo. Lol. The place was clean. Now the bathroom was somewhat clean. The toilet seats were nasty. I almost tossed my cookies when I seen the dried poop and pee. People are letting their little ones sit on these toilet seats because their squat game isn't good yet. But omg ewww. No. Toilet seat covers are necessary. The toilet flushes automatically and it may scare little kids. The child in there peed all over the floor and her clothes because she didn't expect the loud whoosh noise while she was going. Poor baby!! Her mom was pissed but it wasn't her fault. Chuck E Cheese is definitely the place to go for younger kids. It's easy, it felt safe, and the kids have a blast. Chuck E. Cheese has changed quite a bit since I was a kid in the 90s and I'm sure they've had to make lots of changes post pandemic. I will tell you this enough, I was very impressed by the level of cleanliness of this location. I brought my son who is a first timer to Chuck E. Cheese's and he had the time of his life!! We visited at opening time. Around 10am on a Friday. We were greeted by Jamie who was absolutely amazing our entire visit. She was so helpful helping us navigate the card machine as well as the menu. She even encouraged me to take advantage of the app on my phone too. 500 free e-tickets just for joining the rewards program! There were more than enough games and rides to choose from. I immediately noticed that they no longer have the creepy mechanical puppets on stage that they had here when I was a child lol that's a good thing. I used to be terrified of the gorilla lol The pizza was just as yummy as I remembered it!! Omg!! They serve Pepsi products and there's also a salad bar. There are plenty of hand sanitizing stations throughout, which is a plus. No playground/ball pit like they had back in the day. I'm guessing due to the amount of germs those things can hold. So let me start by saying it had been a few years since I have step foot into a Chuck E. Cheese establishment. I had never really been a huge fan of the mouse nor the chaos. However, I'm a mom and well kids inevitably love the place. With a now one year old, I wanted to give it a shot. I knew he would enjoy the lights and sounds. I was surprisingly impressed with our visit. It was a Friday afternoon and with summer I expected it to be busy. There was a crowd but it was a good size and allowed for us to make our way through the arcade easily. The way everything works was different than I remembered. It reminds me of Dave and busters point cards now. All games are 1 point with the exception of two or three. You swipe a card that had points loaded and a balance will present itself. The games are all about the same that I remember but still fun for the kids. Everything seemed as clean as it could be for a kids play area/restaurant. I wish they would up their prizes but for the experience and leaving with a little souvenir makes for a good well worthy trip. As always so much fun for the kids! If you take a large group it can be pretty pricey. We have noticed this location is way better when it comes to the safety for children and checking for the numbers!! Due to covid it used to be the employees had to take a picture with your children. And you had to show in your way out. As of August 2021 it is back to the invisible stamp. Which they made sure everyone received one and to check on the way out. The last time we went to the one at Sam's circle in Chesapeake nobody was standing by the door. Good job VA beach! The prices and food menu is located right in the front. We like that they went away with the coins and went to a reloadable card. Which your points/tickets are added to. It's so much more convenient. You also get one pause which is perfect if you are choosing to eat. The salad bar is back. We always order the #5 which is two large pizzas 6 drinks and a chocolate chip cookie pie. The pizza is always good with decent flavors. It was pretty greasy though. As an adult I don't find the chocolate pie very good but all the children love it! Plenty of games to play for children and parents! We played for a hour and half and nobody ever got board!! Our highest points was 900 pretty good for the time given! This Chuck E. Cheese's is located along Lynnhaven Pkwy and not too far from Lynnhaven Mall. The place is easily seen from Lynnhaven Pkwy. There is plenty of parking available on site. When you first come in, if you come in with any kids, be prepared to have your hand stamped, as well as your kid(s). This is a security measure to avoid kids going outside of the place on their own. The host at the entrance as to unlock the gate (electronically) to get out. There are plenty of game areas in the place. At the back, there is an area for a show for birthday parties and such, along with a ticket blaster. My visit (first time) was on March 23, 2018. The reason for the visit was due to my niece's school (Ocean Lakes Elementary) having a fundraiser night for the school. Once you come inside, there is an area where you can order food and drinks. The primary food here is definitely pizza. A pizza was ordered and used a coupon in the process. I ended up getting a pepperoni pizza with Alfredo sauce instead of the tomato base, At that time, I wasn't sure what to expect with the pizza since I hadn't had it here before. After finding a table to sit at, we just waited for the pizza to be ready. Once the pizza was ready, it was picked up and brought back to the table. I went up to the front area to get the red peppers and extra cheese to sprinkle on the pizza. I wasn't expecting much from the pizza, but I was quite surprised. The pizza was actually quite good. It was so good that I'd consider coming in again in the future just to get some pizza here as a carry out. Once the pizza was done, it was time for my niece to go play games throughout the place. Looking at some of the games there remind me of the past, as I remember playing some of them when I was a kid. They also have some newer games that adapt to today's technology as well. She had a great time playing the games. Overall, this was a good experience and was better than what I thought I'd might expect before coming here. Our family has been fans of Chuck E Cheese for years. However, with the kids somewhat older we only get a visit, or two a year now. The value for games is much better than local competitors, but is scaled more to a younger audience. There has also been recent changes in corporate attitude toward service and upgrades in food that may have the family come back if you have been strangers. The Lynnhaven location has been our go to for years. Probably four years ago they under went an expansion of dining room and games. During this time they upgraded most, possibly all the games on the floor. This store has the distinction of having a super great guy that runs maintenance on the machines and doubles as a runner for food. The machines are kept in top notch condition and they man doing the work is a really nice guy. We have never been fans of the brand on weekend when crowds and parties are nuts. Our goal is usually weekday mornings when they open.There is typically no one around and it builds around noon, but still not busy like weekends. On my most recent visit I found the lot and sidewalks clear of debris as well as the interior was completely prepared for the day too! On our most recent visit when coming in to get your hand stamped for your party the young female staffer was polite and friendly. When getting tokens and food the woman at the counter was terrific, helpful and smiled the entire transaction. I never go to the palace without coupons, they always have them. So look them up on your smart phone and show them. They have a bar code but did not even need to scan it. The best deal for tokens is $20 for 100 and that will usually last my two easily an hour, or more. During the hour, or so my kids has a great time. All machines worked including the ticket feeders that prints out points. At other location the feeders seemed to be troublesome and not enough of them. This store has several machines to turn in tickets and it would probably only be an issue on waiting of course on weekends. My son found the machine that delivered the most tickets is "Fantasy Jump", but be prepared it is exhausting and not as easy as you may think. Our family favorite game is the ski ball. You can really score on tickets if you can hit the 10k hole. A total score of 42k nets you 100 tickets. The "Deal, or no Deal is also a fun one they enjoy. We have not had a Chuck E Cheese party, or attended a party in years. However, the kids loved it when we did and the value is great! Chuck E is guaranteed to come out too! But even if your not at a party Chuck will come out and did our our most recent visit twice in our two hour stay. The churro's new to the food line up were served with a caramel sauce and a white chocolate sauce, both tasty. Without the sauce not so good. However, they were brought out timely and the runner was friendly. The manager did make his way over and reminded us a survey to complete to get free tickets. The counter person mentioned the same survey. They are really wanting feedback. At the end with the kids tickets they were hoping to get cotton candy, but they were out which was a bummer. We have been saving points for years so I guess it was not all bad to put them all in the kitty. The kids elected to get ice-cream out of the machine that had not been activated in our last few visits a year ago. The price ranges from $1-$2. I think the value for our family is better than other game places. I did not try the expanded menu so I cannot comment. For 12&U kids which is there target audience Chuck E Cheese works well. I felt strongly compelled to write this review because today more than ever, businesses that demonstrate any level of competence and professionalism, let alone those that exceed expectations NEED to be celebrated, as they are very few and far between. In fact, I'm surprised that any still exist. A little background: Three of my four kids were invited to a birthday party at this location today, and from the minute we received the invitation, I started dreading it and spent far too much time and effort trying to concoct a believable excuse to get out of it. Now, to be fair, I've been a father of four long enough to know that I'd rather chew tin foil in a crowded DMV than spend a weekend day at another kid's birthday party. To make this particular invitation worse, as someone who grew up in the 80s, I have fond memories of Chuck E Cheese. However, those memories translated into stressed-out parent evoke latent images of a dark, dingy underground children's rave where every surface is smeared with the greasy fingerprints of untold numbers of unsupervised kids tearing through the place like they had flakka for lunch. Unfortunately, to my utter disappointment, I found out that we were one of two families who were invited, which meant that our absence would have meant a reduction in this adorable little birthday girl's guest list by 50%. We haven't been here for about 3 years. It definitely received a well needed upgrade/ overall deep clean. I was very impressed with the new look & the new games. I will say, that it was definitely strange not seeing a stage with all the characters anymore, I wish they had kept that. But they do have a cool interactive dance floor. My daughter loved that. I also like that they give wristbands with gaming cards & allow play by the hour versus carrying a cup of tokens around . The pizza was on point as usual. The kids loved the dip n dots. That was me, 36 years ago, and my nephew at his (un)happy birthday party on Saturday that I attended with my sons. Place was at capacity, 'crawling' with patrons packed in 'like rats.' Large overflow parking lot in rear was full. Despite the noise and natural challenges of moving around, the facility was decently clean, security was tight and staff members were present/visible (and fairly courteous). Kudos to corporate trainers and location management for teaching/maintaining a service oriented culture, especially in the midst of weekend controlled chaos. Seriously, you couldn't pay me enough to work there! Be prepared to stop at "Kid Check" upon entry to receive a unique UV wrist stamp # for you and your children. They will check ALL children trying to exit to make sure there's an accompanying adult match. As a Dad, you'll never need to apologize for having security measures. If you enter stag and say you're with a party, you're asked the name of the birthday child before access is granted. Party packages range from $15-$25 per child and include 2 slices of pizza and a card with varying amounts of play points (replaced token system). Can be booked online, which is cool. You CAN opt to bring in dessert from outside the venue! (We brought the round Chocolate cake from Costco, best $17 money can buy!). Your party host will take care of cutting/serving. Jose, our staff host, brought his exuberant high energy personality to the party, trying to make the 2 hour window SEEM special. Threatening that cause was 11 OTHER PARTIES happening at the same time, in the SAME CRAMPED SPACE, with 1 neighboring party sharing Jose. With that many moving parts, it's logistically impossible to not feel like you're being hurried/cycled through, then booted to make room for the next churn. We were on the end near the ticket blaster which SUCKED, to say it mildly. Every vip using the machine (12+) encroached and invaded our already packed party space. #PhotoBombedToTheMax. After the hosts' build up, Chuck E came out to lead celebratory song/dance; he ran right by our table and my nephew went bananas, in a bad way - as in split! I've been there buddy, 36 years ago! (After the fact, I'm laughing a little bit as I type this...I can't help it!). In the end, you make the most of the place, playing games with kids to earn tickets that can be exchanged for cheap oriental trading quality prizes. What has happened to this Chuck E. Cheese's? I feel they are spiraling downhill. I've had my kids birthday at this location perhaps 3 times. Last time I was here was 3 years ago. I guess times has changed. I don't think I would throw my kid's birthday party here because I feel like they make it nearly impossible for u to win tickets here and these tokens can get pricey after a while. I was really sad that they removed the helicopter ride and the Ferris wheel. They also took away the climbing play area with the tunnels that my kids loved playing in. The clown shooter game is gone too. We were really disappointed to see that the fun classic games had been replaced. If u are hoping to be the lucky winner to hit a jackpot on the games the most tickets u could get were 50. They do have some good deals on the food. They have a $6.95 lunch buffet and children under 2 eat free. The food packages are ok. I felt u get ripped off buying tokens from the machine. If u spend $30 dollars it would be $0.25 a token making out 120 tokens but if u spend $10 worth on tokens you only receive 30 tokens. I never remember having to spend more than 25cents a token. Sadly, we can't just put quarters in the machine and get a token anymore. Money is business and times sure has changed. My kids still enjoyed, the prizes they got were a joke but the fact that they had fun made all the difference. I did hate that some parents weren't watching their kids. Some irritating little kid kept following us trying to take over my kids games half of the time. I had to tell him to stop bothering my kids on numerous occasions and told him that he needed to ask his parents to give him tokens to play a game elsewhere. Was a excited about the food. Meh, not really.. I mean they started adding stuffed crust pizza to the menu for an additional $2 but I didn't go for it. I had the all I can eat salad bar. Wasn't to exciting because I had to pick around at some of the wilted lettuce and spinach, knowing that I was not eating anything really fresh at the salad bar. I understand for the kids, pizza is and they will gravitate to loving pizza even though it's greasy and a little hard like cardboard. We can't complain though, the service was really good. The server who served us also was in charge of games. He was really nice. He gave us a way to earn extra tokens by answering some trivia questions on the back of our table number card. He made sure we were completely satisfied. All in all. I hope they do more to this Chuck E. Cheese location because of the competition in the area. I'm very happy with today's visit. There was a misunderstanding with the cashier but the GM took care of the issue immediately. A staff member named David introduced himself to me and let me know what his job was and asked to please notify him if he could help me. I watched several tables being cleaned and I loved knowing that the tables were moved for sweeping and the items on the table were moved to proper wiping down. This review might be a little cheesy, but bare with me and don't be so quick to chuck it out! Soooo... I'm a big kid by all standards. I love arcade games, pizza, people in furry mouse suits, and skee-ball (which for some reason is one of my greatest talents... go figure). Not many places combine all of these super-fun things into one place while still maintaining a family atmosphere as well as Chuck E. Cheese's... unless you count sketchy back-alley clubs in shadowy ghettos; then again the fur-suits there are a bit more revealing. Moving on... I came here a few months back in search of something to do with my visiting niece - not that I needed an excuse to be here. The location itself is very close to Lynnhaven Mall and can be seen from the main drag should you get lost - although it is accessed by a side-street. Parking is adequate but it could potentially become cramped if large crowds show up for birthday parties, etc. You are "stamped" upon entry - along with any and all children. This is a GREAT security feature as you can't simply walk in and walk back out again without the greeter matching up your stamp to the children/others in your party. In a sense, you can show up and relax while your kids have fun, knowing that Johnny Sketchy-pants isn't gonna come in a snatch up little Suzy. No really, good show Mr. Chuck Cheese - I've worked in security before on several levels, and their system is fairly solid. Once you're in and stamped, your sensory overload experience can begin! As a child, I think I'd be in heaven - the amount of games, flashing lights, and humorous prizes would definitely make me annoy my parents for more tokens than I could ever spend! As an adult, I immediately began to feel my wallet become lighter. This place isn't cheap - but, then again, it's hard to place a price on family-fun in a safe environment. If I recall correctly, I spent around $60.00 for pizza, drinks, and a small fortunate of shiny little game-tokens. That bought us roughly 1.5-2 hours worth of enjoyment - $30 an hour is acceptable. There's are a good amount of tables to sit and enjoy your food - all of them have a fairly solid line-of-sight to the gaming area. The environment was clean, the food came out fast (yet felt like a marginal offering compared to the price - i.e., less quality than standard chains), and they were kind and quick to assist us when our order was wrong - I don't mind mistakes as long as they're rectified. The salad bar could use a little work, but then again this is a pizza joint for kids - and most kids aren't vegan. Overall, this is a good place to go as an adult and a great place to go as a kid - remember, that's whom your going for after all! I had a bad experience my first go round bringing my kids in (before the rona) one of the managers was really short and had an attitude she was even rude with the really loud, friendly gentleman (Jose) at the register. Then we watched the manager go sit in a booth and talk to what looked like her boyfriend as the guy in the kitchen (who had a lot of orders) was working frantically to catch up our food was slow coming out and the pizza was good so we decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately the rona hit and understandably all but the take out portion was closed ( like most restaurants) the loud friendly guy (Jose) was there again greeting us as we came in he was very interactive helpful and you can tell loved his job. He's definitely made for chucke the other girl working Jamie was was an absolute doll she was friendly witty and very helpful we even bought some prizes for the kids this is definitely the dynamic duo of this location. If they had these two at every location chucke would be taking in the customers. First of all this parking lot is so small. Would think they would have a lot more parking. 2nd walking into the door the lady at the front giving stamps was so friends and helpful she had a big smile on her face. 3rd the lady at the register helped us out a lot with trying to figure out what is the best combo play for our son. Downfall about Chuck E Cheese is that their prizes are crap I don't understand how you can get such junk prizes with the amount of tickets you win at the machines they really have to look at it like that. You think a one year old kid can win over 250 tickets with a couple games I think not that's just crazy and absurd. I hope this corporation does some changes on the prizes because it's really sad with the amount of money you spend and you can't even get a decent prize for your child because you don't have enough tickets or walk out with a piece of trash toy that breaks in five minutes. Other wish then that everything was good the place is very clean and kinda quiet. I think Chuck E. Cheese is the most overpriced pizza joint in the United States! The pizza is is not that great for the price. You would do better by getting a Little Caesars pizza and smuggling it in. "Then why give it 4 stars, genius"? Because it's not about the food! This is "where a kid (and adult...don't judge me) can be a kid"! It makes no sense when your grown self is running around with 7 & 8 year olds challenging them to games, driving up the score were kids can't beat it, then standing in line to cash in your tickets for prices instead of giving them to the kids. But seriously, when you feel your kids deserve a break from the norm, you can never go wrong with CEC (especially the Lynnhaven locaton)! The staff does an excellent job when it comes to birthday parties. The parents really don't have to do much of anything if they don't want to. The staff knows you are taking out a 2nd mortgage to have your child's party there, and for those 3 hours, they graciously help with any thing you need. Chuck E gets the kids excited, and he (or she) stops for pictures, regardless of the number of kids that stops him (or her). No matter what, everyone will leave there with a smile on their faces. Fun place for the kiddos. I like that they have wrist bands now and you can pay for unlimited games by the hour rather than pay per game. They have pizza and salad options for food. I do miss their apple dessert pizza though that they used to have. read more

Great location with a surprisingly good food choice. Food tasted good as well. Crowded but as expected, still a pleasant experience. Kids had fun and so did we. The menu has beer included on it and the food was better than little ceasars but not quite pizzahut or Domino's quality. read more

I set a birthday party up for my daughter online a week prior. The staff was great at confirming my reservation. I think we picked the busiest day of the week. The large amount of people did nothing to stop the great customer service my party received. Jose was our party host and he was extremely energetic and engaging. He made sure our food drinks and cake was served and lead our happy birthday song . I would definitely recommend this for a small child. We received plenty of tokens and got a chance to win extra tickets by stepping in the ticket machine where tickets are blown in the air and you have to catch them. Lots of fun. Best Chuck E. Cheese to go to around the Hampton roads. This is the cleanest location, friendliest staff, and they go by playing with the card. The other locations still use just the tokens to play, making it harder to win many tickets. Whenever I just need to take my son out to have a good time, we come here. Unlimited plays on a card for a certain amount of time that you choose for. If you have to eat, or stop playing for some reason, you can pause your card once so no time is lost! For some reason every time we go, it isn't that busy, so my son has a blast feeling like he has the entire place to himself, lol. read more

I had a great time here with my mother and daughter. The service was wonderful and the food was very good. I was however very disappointed to see that there is no longer a play-place, so if you have kids between that 3-5 year range, there is no such thing as just sitting down and letting them play. Never will host a party here again. HORRIBLE experience. First off, we booked a party 2 weeks ahead. We get there and the tables from the last party we're not even wiped down yet, none of the decorations were set up, and the servers were acting very confused. Finally I start to help set up the tables and decorations myself. Now my guests are showing up and nothing's set up.. and then, food took forever to come out. On top of that, when it was cake time, our server cut the beautiful $85 dollar cake horrible. She set up half of the table and told us "we only set up the space the kids sit at". The pizza that finally came out was SO DRY!! We felt so rushed for our 2 hour party. When it was time to take the cake to go, she shoved it in a box and tore up the top tier which we were saving for a cake smash photoshoot. The server was African American, heavy set, and wore braces. We had the best time there for my sons birthday party! The kids loved Chuck E. Cheese! The staff and management were very helpful, kind and respectful. They were also very accommodating. The adults raved about the delicious pizza just as much as the kids. I highly recommend booking your child's birthday party here and get the largest birthday package with the 2 hours of play time for each kid. It's definitely worth the money. It's hard not to be a fan of Chuck E Cheese. All games are 25 cents (IF you don't use a coupon) and the pizza has been vastly improved. I love the renovations that this Chuck E Cheese has made, it seems cleaner and brighter. I wouldn't suggest going on a weekend as it is crawling with kids, though. It's Chuck E Cheese...what can I say. I go because my kids really enjoy going. So, once or twice a year I give in and take them. I will say that this location is pretty clean and not too crowded. But, the food is below average and it costs way too much! I have three kids and to feed them and have a few coins to play games costs close to $50.00. This place has been around since I was a kid and I'm in my mid 20s! Pros: I feel fairly safe bringing my kid here. They have a system where they make sure you come in with your kid and leave with your kid. I've been here for many parties and the kids all seem to love it. The big moving character figures seem to scare some children but some like my child isn't. The employees are nice and helpful. The games are entertaining for kids. Cons: I think it definitely needs to be updated. It's definitely a step back in time to the 1990s when you walk in there. Their system to check you and your kids in and out is a little gross to some. The same stamp they use a stamp on all kids and adults that enter. So if you're particular about germs and cleanliness then that might scare you off. I'm not sure how often everything gets sanitized but let's hope they do it often. The bathroom kind of smell pretty badly but I have seen them cleaning it several times. I wish there were more sanitizing stations available. read more
