Their place has excellent pizza, wings AND shakes. They exceed themselves with the BEST customer service a place can have. This was my first visit and I will ensure to always come back. Feels like coming home to visit a loving family!

    Pizza delivered sideways

Great pizza but don't let "slice" deliver it. Ordered a pizza tonight and the regular driver was off so Slice delivered it at a 90 degree angle when we answered the door. No joke.

After a rather disappointing experience trying the local Home Run Inn I noticed Chuck's Pizza pop up in the ol' Uber Eats rolodex. I decided to try the standard sausage/pepperoni (if they can't get this basic pizza right then it's a hard fail) as well as a specialty sandwich of theirs called the "Freddy." Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza - Price - Good prices. $16 for a large cheese when that's usually the price of a medium. 4/5 stars Appearance - Thin crust is perfectly cooked. There's a good balance between fresh baked softness & crispiness. Nice spread of ingredients and they didn't skimp out on the meat. Rather large square slices than what is usually served in Chicago restaurants. It's the equivalent of a giant New York slice, but in square form. 4/5 Taste - You immediately notice how salty it is upon your first bite. Very oily as well. The terrible sauce completely overtakes all other ingredients. You can really only taste the meat as the salt levels are just that high. The giant slices fill you up quickly. 2/5 Freddy Sandwich - Price - $6 so its in the ballpark, but missing extras like a drink 4/5 Presentation - Sliced Italian sausage laid flat on Italian bread, topped with peppers & sealed tight with a huge amount of melted mozzarella cheese. Doesn't look to appealing as everything is packed tight & not revealing. The bread is soft & cheese melted so it gets a 3/5 Taste - Spicy after taste that you really feel in your chest. Everything is warm & soft including the meat. Salty sauce once again ruins everything. The meat itself is well seasoned & can stand on it's own merit, but is unfortunately touched by the sauce in most areas. Luckily, the sauce is spread thin so you taste more of the other ingredients. A surprisingly spicy sandwich like this should come with a drink by default to wash it down or a side to waste time between bites while your insides calm down. 3/5 Overall - Chuck's really needs to switch up their sauce. It seems like they're using cheap Hunt's brand tomato sauce which is notoriously salty & hard to mask no matter what ingredients you add to it. It makes you wonder if the chef has ever tasted their own dishes because if they did that sauce would've been switched out a long time ago. The prices are good as well as the other ingredients, but it's unfortunate that they use such a cheap sauce. 3/5 stars

We ordered the pepperoni deep dish and the pepperoni tavern style. The deep dish arrives in a cast iron pan, featuring caramelized crust that edges on burnt for a perfect, crispy crunch. The base is thick and doughy, layered with some mozzarella, a tasty sauce, and slightly charred pepperoni. The tavern style provides a nice contrast. Served cut into squares, it has a solid thin crust that holds up nicely under some melted cheese and loads of flat pepperoni. This remains my absolute favorite deep dish in Chicago, and I go anytime I'm in town visiting. Pro tip: Make a reservation well in advance because walk-in wait times get incredibly long.

I had high expectations for this place but it was honestly underwhelming. The pizza had too much cheese, extra costs for adding toppings, and the crust was nothing memorable. Appetizers were good. My group shared jalapeño poppers and the chicken bites, good sized portion chicken and both came with sauce without asking so that was nice. Overall, I really wanted to like this place but it wasn't there as a tourist who's had pizza from different parts in the US. It was a nice try as a first and last time.

However we arrived earlier than scheduled and we ended up getting settled at our hotel so we walked and went in early. We arrived at 4pm and they let us in - was perfect because it wasn't busy. It's my son's first visit to Chi-town so I think this is a good first meal. We got the Chicago meatballs so we can eat something as the deep dish pizza takes 30 mins. The meatballs are flavorful and filled us up until we get our pizza. We picked the Malnati's Chicago classic - medium. The butter crust is really good and the cheese to meet ratio is balanced. While it is deep dish - it didn't feel like it's super thick, I think the butter crust was the difference. It was quiet when we arrived and we were seated in the dining area by the back in the ground level. There was only 1 group and another couple when we arrived so it wasn't loud. I'm sure when it's peak hours it'll be more festive and busy. Great first meal - order some starters if you're hungry. Medium was quite big for 2 people but good if you want to have some slices to-go.

We ordered two small pizzas and it came out within 35 minutes which isn't bad at all considering they make it from scratch. Waiter was very attentive. Pizza was good however there was just so much grease, I got one with pepperonis and each pepperoni itself was like a little bowl of grease. I'm not sure if that's how all deep dish pizza is but oh my gosh. Still tasted good, however it was the type of meal you can only eat once in a while. I do recommend going, it's a quaint restaurant, we enjoyed it

It was dark and way too cold for a summer afternoon. This place piqued our interest as we saw it was rated top in the world and supposedly better than deep dish. High expectations no doubt. We came with a party of six and had a reservation for six, but our table felt more appropriate for four people. The restaurant itself is spacious, so it was disappointing that we felt so cramped. We started with the calamari, which I really enjoyed. The batter was light and crispy without feeling greasy. We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. It was satisfyingly chewy with a great texture and bold flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was light, balanced, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food was delicious and the waterfront setting made for a lovely dinner. I just wish we had been seated at a more comfortable table for our party size.
