Unlike most barbecue joints, their menu is totally à la carte. While they do run special meats or dishes for a month or so, they do not have a daily special on the menu. There are no 2 or 3 meat plate specials in other words. We ordered 1/2 pound of the turkey, a "Beefy Texan" sausage along with a side of the "Frito pie beans" The turkey was very tasty and moist. It's amazing what happens to Turkey when you cook it in a pound of butter. The sausage was good, not dry not too spicy. Good. With the beans, it was kind of hard to tell just how good they are. This was a serving of pinto beans, topped with shredded cheese and then topped with chili cheese Fritos and jalapeños with creamers. It kind of works. It was very tasty. It was also kind of a surprise as I was not told about the chili cheese part. We also got some brisket to try and again it was very good exactly what you would expect for a good barbecue place in Texas.
