Had a great lunch here with family. Wait staff were very friendly and patient with our large group. Relatively large space but felt intimate. Had the bonanza burger and the coconut curry cauliflower which were both great. Kids had pizza and liked them as well. Will likely be back.

Not sure what we expected.. but it didn't meet expectations. I will start by saving the service was really good but the food was a no for us. We ordered chicken nachos and burrato pizza. The pizza was ok and the nachos were underwhelming and probably had 7-8 pieces of chicken. I will say our drinks are really good and really well priced! $8 for a margarita, and a $80 bill for 5 drinks and two appetizers, that's almost unheard of nowadays. If we came back, it would be just for the drinks.

We visited Churchkey last week in November 2025 and as usual, it was a great experience. This place is roomy inside and is great for dates, small, medium, or large groups as well. It can be a bit noisy at times, but the atmosphere is great and also very fun. There's even a cute spot upstairs you can choose to sit in as well. I ordered the bonanza burger and wife ordered the borderline nachos. It was really good. I also ordered a blackberry bramble with whiskey. Our server was highly attentive and really kind. She made sure to go out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, I love this place and highly recommend it. They have something on the menu for everyone!

I've been telling myself I'm on a "diet" (you know, the kind where you still eat wings but balance it out with a salad so it feels healthy). I make the Fresno-to-SF trek pretty often, and somewhere around the middle of that drive, the hunger kicks in and I start scrolling through Yelp like it's DoorDash for the highway. On one of those trips, I searched "salads" and stumbled onto Churchkey. Let me tell you, I'm mad I didn't find this spot sooner. Instant midway stop. Locked in. I ordered the Cowboy Cobb for myself and some wings for my fiancé (because love is sharing food but also pretending you didn't secretly want the wings too). First bite of that Cobb? SMACK. Like, I don't know what they're putting in their salads, but it had no business being that good. Big, fresh, flavorful, and it actually felt like a meal, not just sad lettuce pretending to be dinner. And those wings? MASSIVE. Crispy like they came straight out of a food commercial. You know, the slow motion, crunch sound effect kind of crispy. The vibe inside sealed the deal for me. Spacious, chill atmosphere, definitely the type of place where you can kick back with friends or just post up with a plate of wings and pretend you're still "on a diet." The staff was super friendly too, helpful, welcoming, the kind of people that make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time walking in. Modesto isn't usually on my rotation, but now? Yeah, I'll be detouring through just to come back here. If you're on the 99 and debating another sad drive-thru meal, do yourself a favor and pull off for Churchkey. Trust me, your stomach (and your fake diet) will thank you!

Long black hair in the food I waited over an hour to receive and didn't get to eat.
    Akili M.

Highly disappointed in the service my friend and I received today. While I fully understand that establishments get busy, there is absolutely no excuse for unsanitary conditions. I wasn't even upset about waiting an hour -- we were patient and even asked for our food to go because we had to get back to work. Where my frustration truly comes from is the complete lack of concern shown by the manager, Courtney. She was dismissive, rude, and brushed off the fact that I found a hair in my food. Her exact response was, "these things occasionally happen." She also let me know that she was too busy to issue a refund. I'm sorry, but the tone you used and the way you made me feel as a customer was unacceptable. I left feeling unvalued and disrespected, and it's the sole reason I will no longer support this business. And just to be clear, Courtney -- I do not "occasionally" enjoy hair in my food.

Great spot for drinks. Good food. Tots and wings are really good. Pizzas. Can't beat the prices. Devery and Roni behind the bar are top notch and just good people. They know their drinks and will customize upon request. Other staff are great too - Jazz, Rourke, James, Ian , Salina. Can't go wrong here.

Hello. Lactose intolerant and willing to sacrifice the world of my intestines for pizza. The cast iron plated tator tots with fried Jalapeños and cheeses ? UGH. The pizzas? UGH (as a vegetarian just ask for subs). The sauces. The beers. The burgers. UGH Just go already. No need to dress fancy. This is a great place and the servers are a HOOT.

I've been here more times I can count but I figured I should finally write a review. Being a local, these are one of our go-to spots to take out-of-towners. The menu has something for everyone & even if there is sometimes a wait, the place is big enough that you don't have to wait too long. They have a ton of indoor seating - your choice at the bar, high seating, or a regular table. They have a good amount of outdoor seating, both at front & back of the restaurant. The back of the restaurant has super cute murals! I've always had friendly waiters/waitresses, no matter how busy it is. My go-to drink always is the Aperol Spritz - super refreshing & bonus, it looks super cute! There were two instances where two other customers asked me what I was drinking because it was so interesting to look at. Okay, okay, okay - What you came here for - THE FOODS! Coconut Curry Cauliflower Bites: MY FAVE! Super yums, so much flavor! Yum Yum Cauliflower Bites: This used to be my favorite but the last couple of times I've ordered this - it's had this burnt taste. Lemon Pepper & Spicy BBQ Cauliflower Bites: These flavors are both good. Jacked Up Poutine: Yuuuuuums, love me my fried potatoes & gravy. I always ask for the bacon on the side. Seoul Bowl: I've tried this twice & it's yums. Love the spicy sauce. You can substitute any of the burgers with an impossible burger for an extra charge. Love it! My favorite burger is the Bonanza - the house BBQ sauce is so delicious. Overall, we will definitely be back so I can get my Aperol Spritz & Cauliflower Bites fix :)

We went for drinks and we weren't disappointed. They were very reasonably priced at $10 and $12. They were decent to very good drinks depending on what you ordered. We also had the Jacked up poutine tater tots as an app and it was very good. It was a large restaurant and lots of families while we were there. We sat bar top and had good customer service. Devry was one of our bartenders and he was great. We will def be back.

We ended up doubling down on the micheladas absolutely worth it
    Manuel E.

Stopped by for a couple of micheladas to wind down the night, and this spot hit the mark. While we didn't get a chance to try the food this time, the menu looked solid definitely planning to come back for a proper meal soon. The vibe is lively with spacious indoor seating and a decent sized bar. It looks like it gets pretty packed during peak hours, which makes sense given the atmosphere. Great place to grab a drink and hang out can't wait to return and check out more of what they have to offer.

I'm missing this Margherita already... So good!

The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. Truffle fries were very good and seasoned. Caesar salad was okay, most of the lettuce was already soggy but i should have asked for the sauce on the side. Sadly disappointed…read more My friends and I stopped by Commonwealth on a Saturday afternoon for a late brunch. It was a beautiful day so it was busy for both indoor and outdoor seating. Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I know Texas Roadhouse has enough different foods to please everybody's different tastes. I called in ahead and got my name on the waiting list. This is the way to go so you don't have to wait in line a long time. I saw all the raw steaks on display as we entered, and sometimes I pick out my particular steak from the case and let them know. This time I just went in and will order at the table. We get seated and drink orders taken and those tasty bread rolls appear at our table. My guys are hungry so they dig in to those right away. This Texas Roadhouse dining area looks very similar to most all the locations. We order, I start with some appetizers for the crew, the loaded potato skins. I get a ribeye steak, as do some of the other guys. One guy gets the pork chop. We all get Caesar Salads with our meals. The food arrives and it all looks good. My steak is cooked as ordered. When we got to the table, we noticed there were only two plates for our party of three. We asked for an additional plate, he said he would bring one, but then never came back. We had to ask another nearby server if one could be grabbed for us. They grabbed the plate from a stack that was literally two feet away from our table. This was frustrating because what could have been a five second task turned into an inconvenience for us as well as another staff member. Even after we got our food, we were annoyed with the server. We needed drink refills and it felt like he was deliberately ignoring us. There was a group of four young men (around the server's age) who kept ordering rounds of beer sitting at the table next to us. The server kept only going back to that table and helping them out. He would look directly at our table, and then go back to chat with the one next to us. When we were finally able to flag him down for drink and bread refills, he walked away and brought us neither. When he came back to our section, he went straight back to that other table. We asked him a second time for the refills and he acted like we had never received the request in the first place. He also never cleared our table. Usually, when the main dishes came out, the server would take the small plates and remove empty cups and bread baskets. We were left with the empty trays and plates which made our table feel super crowded and dirty. Despite this really annoying service, the food was really good. The kitchen never misses here. I ordered the beef tips, loaded mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. The meat was super tender and everything was very flavorful. This evening it was bustling and crowded as usual. It was a little rowdy but nothing unexpected. Hopefully next time will be better!

I have left wonderful reviews in the past for this place but I have to share my experience…read morerecently. My boyfriend and I have been to Standard Pub several times during the day, and every visit has been fantastic. We've enjoyed the food, drinks, and even had the pleasure of speaking with the owner on multiple occasions. The service was always welcoming, and the food was consistently phenomenal. Because of those great experiences, we decided to bring some friends on a Saturday night. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the atmosphere looked promising. There appeared to be a DJ setting up, and the crowd seemed excited for a night of music, food, and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience that evening was completely different from what we had come to expect. We ordered food and drinks, and while our server wasn't outright rude, he seemed uninterested in providing the level of service we had previously received. As the night went on, things became increasingly odd. Shortly after ordering another round of drinks, while our drinks were still full and we had just received them, the server approached our table and asked if we were finished. My boyfriend jokingly responded, "No, let me talk to your manager," and laughed, assuming the server was joking as well. The server responded, "Yeah, it's my brother," but with an attitude that left everyone at our table looking at each other wondering what had just happened. He then informed us that we needed to put a credit card on file. At that point, we had already been there for over an hour, and it seemed strange that this requirement was only being brought up then. We also noticed that no other tables around us were being asked for a card. The most disappointing part came when we received the bill. There was an additional $60 service charge added--$35 on my friends' bill and $25 on ours. Confused, we asked for an explanation. The explanations we received kept changing. First, we were told it was because my boyfriend was sitting with another group, which was completely false. Then we were told it was because the bill exceeded $100. After that, we were told it was because there were more than six people in our party, despite there only being four of us. The inconsistent explanations were frustrating and made it feel as though the staff were simply making up reasons to justify the charge. Our issue wasn't necessarily with a service fee itself--it was the lack of disclosure and the conflicting stories we were given when we asked about it. To make matters worse, the receipt also included a separate line for an additional tip. After discussing it with them and explaining that additional charges should be clearly communicated to customers, the service charge was ultimately removed. This review is not a reflection of the food, which remains excellent, nor of our previous experiences at Standard Pub. It is solely based on the service and handling of the situation during our Saturday night visit. We left feeling disappointed and confused, especially because this establishment had earned our trust through many positive visits in the past. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that management addresses these issues so other customers don't have a similar experience

It is bigger than I imagine and the ambiance was nice. 16 draft beer on tap and a wide varieties of mix cocktails. A good food menu. There are special offering on certain day. Went there for the World Cup games 3 times so far and I enjoyed the visit each time. Look like you can make reservations for tables on game day. Service was friendly as I sat at the bar. Go check out this hidden gem and it could be your favorite hangout spot in the future.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.
