But, since you're ordering at the counter, and they call your name when your order is ready, service isn't a big part of the experience. Ambiance (3/5): We've all been to Wingstop at one time or another, so you know what to expect from this fast casual restaurant. What I like about this location is that in addition to seating inside, they have a small patio out front with four tables. Which is where I sat because the weather was beautiful. It was also a bit stuffy inside, not sure if their A/C was working at full capacity. Drinks (N/A): No beverages for me on this visit. Food (3.5/5): I have a standard order at Wingstop: classic lemon pepper wings and fries. Let's start with the fries. You can get a regular or large. The regular is more than enough, it's a generous portion. What I like about Wingstop's fries is the seasoning. There has to be some sugar that's part of the seasoning because it makes you want to lick your fingers. On this visit, you could tell the fries had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Which takes things down a notch. Now, for the star of the show, the wings. Unlike the fries, the wings were freshly fried and served piping hot. To the point where you have to let your food cool down a little bit or you're at risk of burning your tongue. While Wingstop is a chain, their wings are pretty solid. Especially their lemon pepper flavor, which exceeds most other spots I've tried. On this visit, the wings were a little overcooked. Still, all in all, a solid meal. I don't know why Wingstop has such bad reviews. While it's a chain, it's one of my favorite chains, so I'd put them in the upper echelon in this category.
