    Small portion and bad taste

I paid $18.60 for a chicken tikka masala lunch that included roughly 50 grams of chicken and 1/2 cup of rice, served on a small disposable plate. For the price, the portion was disappointing, with just four small, quarter-sized pieces of chicken. The flavor was also underwhelming; it tasted more like canned tomato sauce than a well-prepared dish.

    Not worth 18 dollars..

Got the lunch special but didn't have Salad or drink but still charged full priced.. and portions are small

Went in for the lunch special, main woman at the register does a terrible job of explaining how it works . . Got an eye roll, and a whole lot of attitude when voicing my confusion about this after paying, waiting, and receiving 1/2 size plain chicken for $1 less than the tikka masala dinner( which is what I was inquiring about in the first place )

Chutneys is very friendly service. The food is kind of odd and not flavors that I'm used to (maybe it's a different region?) and I wish I took a picture of it. It's not bad, good for the price and could be passable but if you are really craving Indian, I would go to samosa house for curries.

Stopped by on a whim. Good food. Decent price. Would go again. Might not be my first choice. By hit the spot just fine.

Good flavor on the food. Probably will come back again. I suggest ordering in-person because the online prices are pricier.

I'm from India and love to try new Indian restaurants! This gives me the opportunity to compare and find the BEST Indian restaurant in LA. Customer service: I was pleased with the customer service that I received on this day. I was greeted with a warm smile which is always nice. Ordering was easy and the host kindly made suggestions from the menu. Portion: As mentioned, I've been to MANY indian restaurants and the portion at this location was 3/10. I was surprised to see how LITTLE the servings were and still felt hungry after leaving the restaurant. Flavoring: I would give this place a 5/10 for flavor. It's not up to par with my expectation. Not spicy and kind of bland to be honest. Parking: Parking is definitely a 1/10. If it's a busy day, you won't have any luck with parking. It's too tight and small. * I would not consider what I ate to be Samosas. Those resemble sambusas and don't taste exactly like what a samosa should taste like. The Dosa also was more like injera and not a true dosa texture. I will not be returning to this location but happy to have tried a new place.

We have been coming to this place for a few years now. In a very small lot so parking is scarce and area is not so great either. As many people have mentioned, customer service is horrible. They count out the number of plates and napkins you get. One per person, except kids don't apparently count as people. So one per adult. We normally go here for the nihari, which is decent. The naan is fresh. We ordered the beef seekh kabob this last time around and that was meh. We had to ask for some chutney, at which point we were handed two small containers to grab ourselves. I think better if we just took our plates over instead.

Delicious food. Their chicken is cooked perfectly. Wonderful flavors. Their family deals are great value! Highly recommend.

Not sure why, but since there have been other locations around the LA area over the past several years, maybe they're just moving again. I wish them all the best! Not…read more"pretty good for takeout," not "good on a lucky day," just genuinely solid every single time. This time, I went with the Anwar Style Chicken Shawarma to try something new. The portion size alone is impressive. The container is packed and feels substantial the moment you pick it up. The base is a bed of fries, and these are not just filler. They are thick, well seasoned, and sturdy enough to handle all the toppings without turning into a soggy mess. On top of the fries is a generous amount of chicken. The chicken tastes freshly cooked, with that warm, savory flavor you expect from good shawarma, never dry and never overly salty. There are pita chips mixed in, which add a great crunch and texture against the fries and chicken. Multiple sauces are drizzled throughout the dish. I chose a side of their spicy sauce. The creamy white sauce balances things out, while the orange sauce brings a mild heat and a little extra depth. None of the sauces overpower the dish, they work together to coat everything evenly and keep every bite flavorful. Diced tomatoes and corn adds a touch of sweetness that surprisingly works really well here. A sprinkle of herbs throughout helps brighten everything up and keeps the dish from feeling too heavy, even though it is definitely filling. This is comfort food done right. It is messy in the best way, packed with flavor, at least to me it was. If you are looking for something hearty, satisfying, and consistently well made, I will always recommend Anwar's Kitchen. Anwar's Kitchen delivers quality food, and I will keep ordering from them.

It was also annoying for the waitress (not the gal that served us btw - a host perhaps) to give the vibe like they were doing us a favor by applying the $50 Birthday promo that THEY send via email (note, I verbally this flagged when we arrived just in case - but they didn't initially have it on our bill). My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.

Filled with tandoori flavors, chutneys, mint, and a yogurt center that pops in your mouth. So good. Cocktails paired perfectly too. The pickle one and the Purple Rain were both solid gin drinks. Service was great. The bartender and server were both super knowledgeable and helped guide us through everything, which made a big difference with a menu like this. The ambience is beautiful. Big bar in the back, great lighting, a mix of natural and more moody tones that make it feel elevated but still comfortable. For mains, the pot pies are a must. We tried the biryani and the butter chicken versions, completely different but both worth it. Portions are huge, you will have leftovers. The quesadilla with fajita peppers and tandoori chicken was such a cool fusion idea and worked really well. The boneless truffle chicken had this creamy, almost alfredo style sauce with Indian spices that made it super unique. Ended with the saffron noodle pistachio ice cream dessert and that was unlike anything I've had before. Definitely something you try at least once. This is one of those spots where everything feels creative and intentional. I'll definitely be back.

I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area.
