Oh Chuy's...we visit here so the hubbs could finally try them. As we walked in the hostess was friendly and sat us at our table. Once we were seated we ordered after a fee minutes. The hubbs ordered a swirl margarita and I ordered the chili con queso and the tex mex. Well, our experience started weird as our survey seemed to keep forgetting about us. We constantly had others giving us chips which was weird. I think we saw our waiter when we ordered, for one round of chips, and then when we paid. I think 2 other servers filled our chips at different points,another brought our queso (after our meals came and we fidnt have chips), and another to actually bring us our meal. The waiter never came to ask us if we wanted more of a specific beverage or to check In on us. she actually attended to the bigger tables more frequently and the other newer tables. I had decent hopes for this location. The food was good though despite the service. For that alone the review gets three stars as the service was a lil lack luster. I might give em a try again one of these days though. I'm thinking maybe it just was an amazing night. read more

Me and a friend were looking to get our grub on just before a concert. Within walking distance from the apartment we decided to hit up Chuy's hoping the wait wasn't going to be too long. When we arrived the place was busy however we were fortunate to scavenge two seats at the bar. It had been a minute since I had restaurant nachos so I decided to give them a go. When the nachos arrived I was a little shocked to see how they were served. It wasn't just a heaping pile of chips with toppings. It was just a few, large "chips" with toppings evenly distributed on each chip. It confused me at first but after the first bite I began to enjoy the meal. It was actually quite nice to consume a cleaner order of nachos. Taste was good and the cheese was plentiful. Overall pretty pleased with the order. Although the bar tenders were busy, each of them were very attentive to our drink and food orders. I think they understood we were under a bit of a time crunch so they kept up with us throughout our meal. The veggies in veggie enchiladas were not cooked (raw) and did not include all of the veggies mentioned on menu. Enchiladas not heated or cooked at all. Chips very salty. Margaritas sub-par. No napkins provided. And I could go on and on about the disappointments. Plenty of other people eating this garbage, so probably sort of a "we don't know what to do with only veggies" attitude? Have had positive Chuy's experiences in Austin and Houston. Even as I type this I can't believe how bad this was and how this location can keep operating. I've eaten at several Chuy's locations over the years. I've never been a huge fan until I was introduced to the chili relleno. Their relleno's are much different than I have had before. I do not like the spongy rellonos that are offered at most Mexican establishments around the state. Chuy's has the best I've ever eaten. I'm the kind of person that finds a particular dish and only eat that dish at that particular establishment. This is my chili relleno place. The cheese enchiladas aren't bad, little heavy on the mole side. The salsa is more like a garnish imo. Not my favorite salsa if you even consider it salsa. They do serve a ranch guacamole salsa that's delicious but the "normal" salsa I would not even consider a salsa. No matter it all works. Decent patio, cool place, bar, drinks and eats. I came here and quickly had to leave. Their 'waiting area' is the entry patio and the sidewalk, neither of which are socially distanced and none of the 30 or so waiting guests were wearing masks. I'm saddened because I've always liked Chuy's, but it's just not a safe place to eat. read more

I've searched high and low in the Fort Worth area for good Tex Mex and was extremely disappointed. I stumbled upon Chuy's. I ordered a few margaritas in the rocks and a chicken Chuychanga on the first visit. The drinks were good and the burrito was good but had no eye appeal, so I dressed mine up with tomatillo sauce and another that can't remember the name of. People were telling me my burrito looked good and asked what was it. It was tasty. On my second visit, I got a few margaritas on the rocks. The were better than my first visit. I ordered chicken fajitas for one and it was stacked with deliciousness. The pinto beans and rice was so good, it disappeared before I began to sample the fajitas. I was only able to eat one. These certainly were going home. For dessert, I chose Tres Leches. I was served a sizable piece that would take two hungry people to finish. I finally found a very good Tex Mex restaurant that's delicious. I will certainly be a regular. read more

I've been coming to this location for years. I'm always seated relatively fast although there is a bit of a wait in the evening of you come with a group. It ranges from being slightly busy during off hours to packed during peak hours. I most frequently get the tortilla soup or the stuffed avocado and I always make sure to ask for the jalapeno ranch to go with the chips and salsa fresca. I'm not a fan of the nachos simply because they are made on a thick almost tostada shell of a chip. The quesadillas, taco salad, fajitas, enchiladas have all been good. The boom boom sauce and the hatch chili sauces can be very spicy! I have not had a bad experience with the food. My only negative on the place is the service. Sometimes it's spot on. Other times you have waiters that seem to have too many tables and forget about you or it's like they are almost inconvenienced to be serving. I try to be understanding when the place is packed. Service will be slower and the waitstaff harried. Unfortunately, I normally come during off hours and the service is more often than not subpar. read more

Our server, Madalynn, was very nice and attentive. She brought extra napkins without being asked which is always appreciated. I ordered a happy hour marg and immediately dug into the free nacho bar which is constantly refreshed with chips, queso, salsa, ground beef, and refried beans. Instant yes from me, dawg. I ordered a ground beef burrito that I smothered with queso from the bar. The burritos are big and messy. The flavors are good, but there are other Mexican restaurants nearby that I feel have better burritos. The nacho bar, however, isn't easily bested. The chips and salsa ARE something to write home about, though. Both are made in house and are wonderful. I overindulge every time, but never regret it. Between the consistently good service, great adult beverages, fun decor, and generous food portions, Chuy's is a great choice for any Mexican food lover. Love Chuy's and this location delivers exactly what you would expect. The parking is challenging i that you have to park on the street or in a close by parking lot. Be careful to make sure you can park there and will not be towed. Service and seating was fast. It took a while for us to get our chips and salsa which is not typical. You are usually greeted with them. After we did get them, they refilled the chips fast so we weren't complaining. The waitress was friendly. Took our orders and the food was delivered fast and hot! No heating lamps here. I only wish I had gone on a Tuesday because the stuffed avocado is sold then. Why don't they offer this dish daily? Probably my only complaint for the chain! read more

The food is good, I like the interior and the patio on 7th, and normally the service is good to great, but the last two times in, the service was horrendous. Waiting 10-15 minutes after we were seated and after no serve came to our table, we got up and went to front to ask to have someone service our table. Same on the back end waiting for our check and then waiting for our change. And the place was not slammed, so I'm not sure what was going on. I recommended you guys to a friend because I used to love you, but y'all embarrassed me by failing to include all of the food that was ordered and paid for in the Mamacita Deluxe for 20. We didn't receive rice, beans or queso that was supposed to be included. I called to speak to MaNAgemNt and what a joy he was. He probably yelled at the staff afterwards, but he mumbled something and ended the call with a bang but no goodbye. Made a reservation before we got here. Checked in with the hosts. Twice actually my mother and my brother did. Sat here for 20 minutes and the hosts were seating large walk-in groups before us. Said they texted us but we're sitting in the benches directly in front of the host stand. Now we have to wait longer and sit outside. Great. My server Elena forgot our queso and never mentioned it, I told her that we didn't need it and she didn't even said a word. My sister asked for a simple modification on her plate and they made it the regular way (I'm a server and I've been a cook it is not a science); the plate took so long to be ready, they just gave her the same one, and brought two fresh enchiladas on a separate plate. I tipped Elena 33% because I have a heart, but this was horrible costumer service. I never saw the manager approach to any tables either. Had lunch here today with my family. Ofcourse the food is always good and the creamy jalapeño sauce is wonderful. But the best part of our lunch was our server Alex. He was amazing and on top of everything. We didn't even have an opportunity to ask for anything because like a wizard he already knew and was brining it to the table. Extra dip, chips, napkins, refills, the check....everything was at the table literally seconds after I THOUGHT about it. Chuy's is a 10/10 and Alex is a 11/10. Food is mediocre but close so I often buy from here. Today i ordered fajitas for two with Mexican rice and refried beans. I got home and found out I had fajitas but no tortillas to eat them with.... no refried beans either. The food was hot and delicious! I enjoyed how the tomatoes were separated from the tacos and also the cheese and lettuce. The cheese was not melted until I placed it on my food directly.
