    Delicious food

What an absolutely phenomenal experience. We are in such awe from our experience I am sitting on the sofa over one month later talking about how wonderful our first experience at Chuys. Daniel was our waiter and was so professional and treated us like we were family and welcome in his family home/restaurant. We were in excellent hands. From this moment, we didn't even need to try the food, we knew we were in good hands. True Texan hospitality. He was patient, explained the menu, personable, made local recommendations. If I were a restaurant owner, this is who I would want to work for my business. Thank you! We sat in a booth near the bar area. We opted for this when we came in because the dining room seemed quite crowded. We didn't have any cocktails during our visit because we were driving. They did look lovely though. We ordered a mocktail and this was beautifully crafted. It wasn't slapped together and was perfectly balanced and had the perfect amount of citrus. Our enchiladas with special sauce was out of this world. The flavor and the quality of the meat. We went back to another location a few days later and it missed the mark. Please come here to this location! Everyone knows what they are doing and you can taste it in the quality of the food and it shows in the service. A huge kudos to knowing good talent as this industry is not easy. We will absolutely be back. We have loved ones in Texas and were visiting from out of state. I am so thankful for this first experience. Thank you Daniel and team! Merry Christmas!!!

I would say Chuy's is a solid 3 star Texas chain. Nothing at Chuy's, outside of the jalapeño ranch, will knock your socks off. That being said, everything is pretty good and the prices are actually very reasonable. Friendly staff and pretty cool environment.

We shared this meal. Also came with beef taco & cheese tostada. Yummy strawberry and Kim margarita swirl.

Limited parking I was happy I arrived at the time that I did. I was able to walk in and be seated immediately. I sat in the corner as I conducted a phone call and ordered the queso with guacamole, beef and pico. This honestly was amazing. I the ordered the steak burrito and beans with rice. I literally was in a food coma as I ate. The only issue I had with this restaurant was some of the photos on the wall gave me the creeps. I'm deathly afraid of snakes and there are multiple photos in an area. So I ate what I could until I felt my skin crawl and paid and left. The food is good , the photos sent me with my bags packed.

Service was really good. I will say they do a decent job at Tex-Mex. You aren't going to get anything amazing but you will get solid food at a reasonable price. The salsa was a tad too salty but the chips were fresh. The queso was very good a creamy. The Chuychonga was a chicken wrap that was fried but if you dip it in queso it's pretty tasty. The Beef Enchiladas had decent heat to it that wasn't over powering. This is dependable food at the end of the day with good service.

Time for Chuychangas and Fajita panchos.

Hi, peeps. Happy Tuesday. Today was gorgeous. My big bro is in town. I wanted brunch, and he wanted to munch. Munch wins. So it's top down so we can enjoy the breeze on the roll to West 7th Street in Fort Worth. This is high noon, so there were sweet seats on the patio. Love the view because I'm a car fanatic. This spot is perfect for spotting the nicest whips. Fresh warm chip and chunky salsa was out quickly. The server was all smiles. Off to a great start. Had the Chuychanga. The crust is so buttery with a soft crust like a taco salad bowls crunch. Just super delicious. I got the steak fajita with the queso topping. Ask for extra shredded lettuce so it feels healthier. Our server checked on us several times. Super great service. The tea, um, super light and weak. Truly could have just had water with more body. Truly disappointing. All in all, for the fresh air, views, good service, a solid 4 experience. Especially for the value. Take care folks. Get out and catch some sun, fresh air, and fun times.

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.

You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though.
