First time visiting this restaurant at a yelp elite event. Service was great. Everyone made the visit a pleasure. It was interesting to know that everything comes in fresh daily. When you taste the food you can definitely tell. I enjoyed everything that was served. The steak burrito was my favorite I would order it with a milder sauce next time. On the 18th of February, my husband and I attended a Yelp Elite Event to Chuy's Restaurant, we been going to Carrabba's for some time, I did mention to my husband about Chuy's but we thought it was just another Mexican Restaurant like the rest so we didn't try it till Tuesday and here comes my honest review We walked in a little after 6pm, appetizers were serve already, nachos and flautas were cold but it tasted good Steak Burrito was delicious, the steak was on point and soft, rice and beans were good too Chicka Chicka Boom Bom Enchilada, honestly I didn't like it, the chicken was tasteless for my palate, it reads roasted chicken but it taste like boil but that's my opinion, maybe other people like it Veggie Enchilada was delicious and take it from someone that don't like veggies I absolutely hate onions and I didn't even taste it, the roasted vegetables were very tasteful Tres leches cake was delicious, believe me not everyone knows or make it the right way, the house made creme fraise was delicious Hubby and I had the house margarita, it was good but not like the one we taste later, don't remember if they mention the name it could be house too but it was Patron tequila with fresh squeeze lime juice and sugar water, the fresh lime makes the big difference, I could drink a whole pitcher We learn everything and I mean everything is fresh, they don't used anything frozen oh and don't let me forget to mention the sauces, I love them all, and at the end, we all got some souvenirs and my husband won a dinner for four, can't wait to go with the kiddos So if you asked me if I recommended Chuy's? Chuy's has become my go to for Tex Mex. It's actually a weekly regular. The thin, crispy chips and creamy jalapeño sauce deserves 5 out of 5 stars every time. Always fresh and always consistent. I almost cringe at the the thought of giving Chuy's anything less than a 4.5/5 stars but today's visit (1/15/20) barely deserved 3 stars. Walking in right after opening, I was certain our experience would be quick. We had to wait to be seated because there wasn't anyone at the front door for almost 5 minutes. Once seated in the bar area we were greeted and gave our drink orders. After another wait, we gave our appetizer order. Once the app arrived, we noticed immediately that it was wrong but our server had to rush to another table. She eventually returned and said "oh yeah that's wrong...my bad...I guess I put that in wrong...enjoy guys" Not really what I was expecting but being on lunch break, we ate it anyways to avoid more time delays. After yet another wait, we ordered food and it arrived. You guessed it, it was wrong. And the food was just mediocre once the correct food arrived. We did have to ask more than once for drink and chip refills. Hopefully next visit will be back to normal and I would love to update with a better review but due to the absence of management walking around (like all past visits), multiple wrong orders and wait times being high for everything, the review gets 3 stars. My daughter loves this place. She got me to try it. I gotta say I'm impressed. They start you with chips, salsa and creamy jalapeño dip. The salsa and creamy dip are so good!! They have thin tortilla chips which are my favorite. The fajita for two was plenty of food. It was really good too. We have been back a few times now and each time food and service were just as good as the last. The atmosphere is very fun and there's lots of stuff to look at to keep you entertained. This was my first time eating at Chuy's and I will say, the food is pretty good. What made the experience so great is that we went on a Friday around 4:00 and there was no wait time, plus we had the entire outdoor seating area to ourselves. Staff was super helpful and very nice / quick. The Nachos were not my absolute favorite because I prefer the chips to be regular sized, but they were not bad. Soft chicken tacos were amazing 10/10 and large serving size. But let's talk about the margaritas. We went for happy hour so the sizes were fairly large for $5 margaritas. The only issue is that I could not taste any alcohol in either margarita. They were tasty. Just very little to no alcohol. So I would rate those 6/10. Overall experience was great but this is not your place if you're going for the margaritas. You will leave with leftovers though, which is always nice! read more

Omg! What an amazing experience!!! This is literally the BEST Mexican Lunch/Dinner I've ever had. For a moment I felt like a movie star with the attention from the staff learning it was my first time. The sweet waitress Samantha greeted me with chips & two dips. Delicious!!! The salsa was nice and chunky (just the way I like it) and tons of flavors. Soon after the manager Ashely brings me a plate with all of the different sauces for me to try. So I could decide what I wanted with my meal. She helped explain the menu. She helped me decide on a chuychanga (sp?) but it's a chimichanga (ckn). I also decided on the spicy beans & rice. This girl was in hog heaven. Can't wait to come back and bring my husband. I did send him pictures to make him jealous. Oh and I couldn't help myself with buying a TacoCat T-shirt. This place is my favorite Tex-mex around. Their creamy jalapeño dip they give you with chips when you first sit down is to DIE for. The wait is never super long and the service is great. Every time I've been, the food was fresh, hot and tasty. Their strawberry margaritas are my favorite in Greenville. I'm really picky about white meat, good chicken and this place has never failed my expectations when it comes to quality of the food. Worst food I've ever had and even tried it twice to see if I just ordered the wrong thing the first time and the second time was even worse

I have been multiple times and never have had a bad experience. The margaritas are soooo good! Love how you can also get them swirled together. I have tried from the mango, strawberry, and raspberry...none have disappointed. Normally I get the bean burrito and it truly is very filling, along with the yellow rice and refried beans (and of course those endless amazing chips and creamy jalapeño sauce). Rest of the table got tacos al carbon and fajitas. We also got nachos which this one was particularly interesting as to how they were served. Wasn't your typical chips piled up and cheese shredded over...it was long tortilla chips and then the bean and cheese spreader. Service is overall quick. This last time our waitress was Karoljn and she was an absolute rockstar! Came with a big party and she was very attentive and on top of everything. read more

Your typical Mexican restaurant with a bit of a twist. It's my favorite Mexican food around! The chips are always fresh, and the creamy jalepeno dip is AMAZING. Seriously, I take extra home so I can make my own tacos and breakfast burritos with it. So, so yummy. I also highly recommend the chuychanga (their version of a chimichanga) - most everything they have is very good, but you can pick your sauce for the chuychanga (I choose creamy jalepeno, obviously) and it's my favorite thing on the menu. Another positive - you can order it on Bite Squad and have it delivered, and it's actually still good! Side note, but not worth a whole star: their queso isn't the traditional white cheese dip you may expect, it's a yellow sauce. I was disappointed for about 0.5 seconds before I had the creamy jalepeno sauce. I said creamy jalepeno a lot. Really though, it's that good. read more

Went with my wife we both had chicken enchiladas with different sauces. I didn't think the enchiladas were cooked enough. Tortillas were tough instead of tender. Green sauce was good. Chicken was ok, sort of bland. I liked the refried beans, chips and salsa. Margaritas were very good and strong, tart not too sweet. Tres leches cake was huge, but not much flavor. Last time we were here my wife dropped a business card in a bowl and a few days later received a coupon in the mail for a free Chili Con Queso (a $7.29 value) So we had that (delicious, but I would not pay $7.29 in the future), Chili Rellenos ($9.99, very good, added the Queso on top and made it smokin' good), Elvis Green Chili Fried Chicken ($10.69, excellent, a little pricey), Unsweet Tea ($2.79, very good, clean and light, overpriced) Our server (Keri) kept us in chips, dip, and tea. The wait for our meal was a little long but it was no big deal. If you go, be sure to ask for the Creamy Jalapeno Dip to have with your chips. You will fall in love with this delicious creation, and it is good on everything but you have to ask for it! Also, ask about the card you get stamped every time you visit until you get to 5 visits, at which time you get a free entree. The card is free so there is no reason not to get it. Talk about a chain restaurant that absolutely outdoes themselves. First of all, when you walk up to the building, you pass colorful outside waiting seating, that matches the colorful building. Once inside, the colors and fun vibe continues with all of the paintings hanging on the wall. Tonight, we got the sample starter that came with the most tasty quesadillas I have ever had. Then we moved on to our entrees that included the steak burrito (hello heaven), Boom Boom chicken enchiladas, and the veggie enchiladas. Nothing on our table was short of amazing right down to the beans and rice. And lets not forget their awesome tres leches cake. Even as full as we were, we still managed to scarf down this light, fluffy, and mouth watering cake. This chain NEVER (thats right) NEVER freezes any of their food and everything is brought in fresh first thing in the morning. They make all of their sauces in house and some take 12 hours to prepare! The wait staff, bar staff, and management are all professional and wonderful to deal/speak with. My family has found our Mexican restaurant that we will frequent (because we eat A LOT of mexican). read more

Ate here yesterday for lunch in Greenville, SC. Seated quickly. Food was fine. The problems I had were the server's attitude and the price of a side of boom boom sauce which was over $4. It was probably about 1/3 cup. I find that to be outrageous. No where on the menu do I see anything about a $4 up charge for it. I did see +$1.50 which is what I was expecting. The server said if it is not poured over an entree it will be charged as an appetizer. Well I think the menu should say that! My friend ordered sweet tea but was given unsweetened. When the server came back after placing the drinks, my friend told her politely she had wanted sweet tea. The server curtly said "I heard unsweetened." Okay. Whatever about that. But when my friend once again politely said "Do you take the payment at the table?", the women said curtly again, "That's why I'm standing here." I just don't believe all that was necessary and made for an unpleasant experience. I don't have any plans to return there! read more

Well above average experience for a chain Tex Mex place. The service was impeccable. The chips may be my favorite of any Mexican place, light and crispy with no greasiness. The salsa is very fresh and spicy. I wish they had a mild option. I love heat, but my wife could not eat the salsa. I was pretty full on chips when my taco salad arrived, but I still enjoyed it. She also gave us some of the creamy jalapeño sauce for the chips, it was kind of like a spicier more flavorful version of ranch. We're not huge fans of ranch but it had great flavor if that's what you're into. I had the steak burrito, it was large, and completely filled with steak and cheese, great value. The hatch green Chile sauce on it was spicy but delicious, and the rice and beans complimented the dish perfectly. My fiance got the fried avocado special, again, very sizable and reasonably priced, and she said it had great flavor.
