Some things are hit and miss but when you find your items you will find yourself craving them and suddenly in their drive-thru late at night. I like their beef nachos a whole lot, with the queso sauce and freshly sliced jalapeños. Also a fan of the burritos. Quesa-birria tacos are also good and served with the consumes sauce. Stopped by for lunch and had the coconut shrimp and fish tacos. They were awesome! Very tasty and full of flavor, fresh veggies and soft corn tortillas. It just doesn't get better than cuchos. My husband and I stumbled across cuchos a few years ago and have been loyal customers ever since. Every time we go we have to get a large guacamole because it's truly the best we've ever had. So fresh so good. I'm a creature of habit so I typically get one steak and one chicken street taco. Amazing. Great flavor, great portions, soo fresh!! I have strayed a few times and gotten the cuchos bowl and let me tell you... it's so so good. My husband loves the quesa birria, tortas, and the burritos. Not to mention the prices are SO reasonable. I'll take a $30 dollar date night here over some fancy restaurant any day! I've tried at least 6 or 7 menu items here, and it seems Cuchos can do no wrong. This is your classic walk up and order at the counter type place, and the prices are on the lower to midrange end for this type of food ($8-9 for a burrito and most tacos $3-4) The atmosphere is pretty casual and they call your number to come pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. There is a salsa bar where you can serve yourself and you can try a good variety of flavors. My favorites so far have been the steak burrito and the Quesabirria, but honestly I haven't regretted anything I've ordered. Every bite was mouth watering. Sprinkle some lime on them for a little bitter bite. Street Corn (elote) - this is a classic for me. I'll always get it as restaurants that have it. Their corn was perfectly cooked, light on the cheese, and had some spice (though I love more!). Chocolate Churros - these stole the show. The portion should be shared after a meal unless you're really having a sweet tooth. The ends were crunchy. They were absolutely covered in sugar and maybe chocolate crumbs? I was amazed at how busy this place was at 1:30. Lunch here was good! I tried the coconut shrimp taco and the pork taco, with pineapple aguas frescas to drink. The tacos were a good size and very filling. You do get a plastic number stand when your order is placed at the counter, but the number is called out rather than the food being brought to you. My wife and I are in search of an authentic street tacos. Cucho wasn't bad but the tortilla are not homemade. The flour tortilla remind me of the ones you buy in the market. On the other hand the meats were delicious. We loved the Korean steak and the birria meat. Also, the fish was fried perfectly, it was flaky and moist. Saw Cucho's listed in a FB post and was nearby. Unassuming location had plenty of parking. Interior was spacious with a good bit of seating. Very clean. Order taker at counter was pleasant and helpful. Chorizo street taco was tasty with a little crema sauce added. A little greasy but I am not complaining. My Al Pastor burrito (no cheese) was delicious. Big enough that I took half of it home. Wife's taco bowl was excellent. Definitely recommend. Order was delivered fairly quickly and with a smile. Great food and service. I would like to give a 5 star but it is that the ambiance is not 5 star. It has extremely harsh lighting. If they would consider half the amount of lights and warm white bulbs it may help. I ordered 3 tacos - for my first, I went with a safe option (beef gabacho taco, your standard ground beef w/lettuce and cheese) and was ultimately kinda disappointed. I asked for sour cream and that made it a little better, but I wouldn't recommend that one. The second was new but sounded great, the grilled chicken taco, and I LOVED this one - definitely a fan of the chicken flavor and the spicy lime ranch sauce. The third was something I had never tried or seen before, the quesabirria taco. I thought it was okay and I'm glad I tried it, but it wasn't really my thing. What I wish I had gotten was my boyfriend's coconut shrimp taco, I just got a bite but it was pretty incredible. I know I like a place when I'm already planning my next order and I definitely have my next tacos picked out! Quick tips: the staff is really friendly and were kind enough to let me sample the jamaica agua fresca before I committed to it, which I really appreciated (and it was delicious!). Tip 2 - I wouldn't bother with the queso. It's good, but it's a pretty small amount for $4.99 (in alternative mex restaurant terms it's a "cup" size not a "bowl" size but definitely "bowl" price), I'd suggest trying something else. read more

Good was excellent & reasonably priced. My first time there but was confused as to why you have to walk through the drive thru traffic to get into the restaurant-you need to be cautious there! They have a salsa "station" but not all were marked as to what type of sauce/salsa it was. And they give you a number to put on your table and apparently they call your number & you have to go pick up your food. They were extremely busy! Visiting in Greenville for the weekend and found this taco shop on yelp. Would highly recommend! Order at the counter, fast service. They have a salsa bar with around 6 or so different sauces to try. The crema, avocado salsa, and salsa verde were all very flavorful and yummy! The quesabirria taco was my favorite. So much flavor and melty cheese. The steak Korean taco was also very yummy! It had a depth of flavors! The Baja taco was average. It didn't have much flavor and the fish was mushy and all I could taste was fried. Cuchos is my favorite taco place in town!!!! I'm from Texas and am used to having great Mexican food. This place does not disappoint. I always get the quesabirria tacos, which are very filling. They come on two corn tortillas. I usually only need to order two, and even that can sometimes be too much for me (1.5 is probably ideal) But they're soooo good. I also love the strawberry horchata.
