My pregnant wife was looking forward to chips queso, guacamole, and rojo salsa, all of which were missing from our order. When I called, the employee who answered put me on hold while I was explaining the problem, without saying a word. After about 20 minutes, another employee answered. She said it was her first day and she wasn't sure how to help. I asked for a manager and was told the manager was too busy. She promised the manager would call me back that night. No one ever did. I ended up placing another order for the missing items and paying the additional cost myself. Four consecutive orders with mistakes is a pattern. Being left on hold, unable to speak with a manager, and then never receiving the promised callback makes it even worse. Customers shouldn't have to spend their evening chasing down missing food and paying again to get what they already ordered. I love your tacos, but this repeated lack of care and follow-through has become unacceptable.

UPDATE: Episode II, The Queso Strikes Back In my last transmission, a disturbance in the Force left my visit to Chuy's in shambles. But hope, as the old Jedi say, is never truly lost. A few days later, Jason, the store manager and a true Jedi Master of hospitality, reached out across the galaxy to make amends. He listened. He understood. He vowed to bring the matter before the Council. I told him there was no need. My family ran several food outposts across the Outer Rim, and I know that even the best crews miss a guest now and then. But Jason was not to be swayed, and he sent a gift card to restore balance. I used it on a take-out mission for queso and tacos. Let it be known throughout the systems: this queso is the most powerful in the galaxy. The to-go server greeted me with the warmth of the twin suns of Tatooine as she handed over my order. But when I returned to my base, I discovered the chips were missing. A grave loss, for those chips are strong with the Force. Luckily, I had flour tortillas to hold the line. Until they, too, were gone. The food was also lukewarm. Still good, but I had to reheat it in my galley. When the survey arrived, I answered honestly, hoping not to become the needy patron who trembles at every flaw. That is the path to the Dark Side. Yet Jason called once more, as a true guardian of the order would. Somewhat embarrassed, I told him again I sought no reward. He insisted on another gift card and on covering my meal that very night. So I returned for one final mission. Time was short. I have a young Padawan puppy at home, and if left unsupervised for long, the throw pillows fall one by one. Stuffing across the entire sector. This time, Jason himself emerged to deliver my order. Extra tortillas. Perfect packaging. Hot and ready, like a freshly fired lightsaber. That night I enjoyed one of the finest meals I have had in many cycles. The enchiladas were legendary. The chips were light and perfectly salted. And the queso, as foretold, remained supreme. The lesson, young Padawans: Chuy's has incredible food, and no one, not even a Jedi, is perfect. Always give others a chance at redemption. Even Vader got one. The bald manager ID'ed me and all my friends today at this restaurant when we had already had some margaritas and the waiter had checked our Id's. He said we didn't look 21 and refused to serve us any more drinks. He asked for our Id's and said we couldn't drink anymore. He was very rude, caused a massive scene and made our experience terrible. On Monday night, we chose to retry Chuy's after a dismal Super Bowl experience at their Fort Worth location. Unfortunately, the Southlake Chuy's didn't impress much, offering average service and food; the chicken fajitas were good but the steak fajitas were subpar - lacking in flavor and seasoning, tough, and improperly cut. Wow! We had a party of 13 last night to celebrate me meeting my brothers that were located by DNA testing. This would be our first meeting and we selected this location. I could not be happier. Chuy's is a great restaurant that is a great bang for your buck! They have been so accommodating when we have had large groups need to meet, allowing us to arrange a large room/space to make things work even though they don't technically take reservations.
