Blown away...my wife and I phoned last minute first thing on a Sunday morning and Chau fitted us both in within fifteen minutes. Ninety minutes and two great haircuts later we walked out as happy campers. Chau and the other staff were very friendly and we all had a good chat, down to earth and easy going atmosphere. Lindsey gave me one of the best cuts and blow outs I've ever had! She was extremely kind and attentive and I'll definitely go back to her. My only complaint about the salon was that it lacked that relaxing salon atmosphere. They don't offer drinks, no noticeable music, etc., and the towel used to dry my hair smelled pretty musty. Long hair don't care. Until I see Chau! It is very hard to find someone that shares the same visions of what your hair should look like and be right on 99% of the time. I've switched stylist many many times over the years but I've been going to Chau for the past 3 years because of her consistency and quality service all around. Prices are very reasonable. I'm used to paying around 70 for a men's cut but after charges and tips I end up saving 10 bucks. Not a bad deal for me. read more

Cash or check only so beware for that! I was a little early to my appointment and she was able to take me when I got there - bonus points. I'm impatient. Great people. They do their best to give you the hairstyle that you both want and need. Their suggestions saved my hair. I had long hair but it was frizzy and damaged by color. They suggested I get a look that was both low maintenance and start a new habit of not washing my hair with shampoo daily. I looked at salons near my zip code that had excellent ratings and landed on Ciao. OMG best decision! Chau called me to schedule my appointment as I had left a voice message. She was so impressive... wanted me to think about what I wanted and perhaps bring photos of what I liked or disliked. She was so friendly and built trust immediately. Then, I met Amanda and she looked at what I had and talked to me and she took over. I have never been more pleased with my hair color! Came in for a color correction with Amanda after receiving a completely botched "highlight" job from a sketchy Groupon deal. Literally had splotches of bleach all over my natural black hair. Chau squeezed me in the next day which was awesome as this salon seems to oftentimes have a full schedule. Amanda is a hair goddess and turned my hair into a beautiful sea green-blue ombre. She took lots of time to make sure she understood what I wanted and she is the raddedt colorist I've ever met - super personable, meticulous about her work, and did an amazing transformation on my hair. The salon itself is a converted house with lots of comfy seating and a chill patio to hang out at while your color is setting. They offered me drinks (and booze!) snacks, basically told me to make myself at home. Intimate space & dedicated hair artists. I've found my go to spot and I will recommend Chau & Amanda to everyone that needs cuts & color. Turned my hair experience disaster from the previous day in a relaxing, pampering experience that I was looking for. Love you! read more

I am not happy at all. My hair was all one length waiting so it could get perfect cut. I let chau do whatever she wanted and came back cuz I wanted both sides to look the same. That isn't hard to do at all but she wasn't having it. At first she offered to fix it, next refused to do what I want. Thought I found the one right to cut my hair, once again... I have to wait for a long while to have it cut right. Tsk tsk. Smh. I don't like how she want told me to come back and then Fix it to then suddenly shift and just said I'm not doing it at all. I never asked for refund or anything but she chased after me to return the $70 of the $80 she charged me and I gave her $20 tip. I honestly don't get it. If it's your pride, it went downhill cuz all of that wasn't worth it at all. I wish you the best cuz you lost me with all that shit that didn't make sense. I wanted to try this place because it got really good reviews. Well I called to inquire about an appointment. It was a Sunday and they were open until 7 but the guy who answered said none of the stylists wanted to stay until then and that on Monday they don't normally work but could still get me at 430? But I could find another place instead. It made me feel like I wasn't good enough for the salon and the stylists time.
