Love this place. My hairdresser recently moved very FAR and I have been in desperate need of a cut. I've had some pretty bad experiences with hairdressers and I am always very nervous going to anyone new. Needless to say I needed a cut fast because I was leaving for Austin the next day. I looked up reviews about sooo many places and landed on Ciao Salon because of the great reviews (quality and atmosphere). I called Chau and she fit me in the same day. Chau is awesome! Actually everyone in the salon is fantastic, not to mention upbeat and fun. You can tell they all love their jobs. The feel is laid back and relaxed, not pretentious like many of salons in the area. Chau took everything I asked for plus more and cut my hair to perfection. She was very attentive & new exactly what I wanted. Everyone in the salon has their own special style/expertise & they were all trained at Tony & Guy. If you are looking for a salon/hairdressers with years of expertise, great energy, quality service, and affordable prices then this is your place! Don't go here. The owner is doesn't know one thing about customer service. I scheduled an appointment. Then I called back about and wondered if I could move it a couple hour earlier. Then she canceled my appointment without letting me know. I drove 30 minutes to get there and discovered my appointment was off. The salon happened to be in the run down area. When I arrived, there was no customer in the salon. There were two hair stylist persons. One stepped up and said hi to me. My god! her eyes looked like panda's eyes. So black. Two of the stylist/employee look so beat up...like drug addicts of some sort. I realized that it made sense. The salon is located in the run down area. So there are drug addicts. I have to give super-props to Jade at Ciao's. First off it is a great setting. This place is like being at home and is easy to get to and park. I don't dig the idea of sitting at a place to get a quality haircut where everyone and their mom walking by can see me. That aside the most important part is the stylist and I have to say Jade rocked it. She's nice, she listens to what you want, and she knocks it out with great pricing to boot. If you're a dude and you need your hair did then hit up Ciao's and ask for Jade. I saw couples going as well so bring your girl and get Jade to do her cut and color as well. She is a certified master colorist and a delightful lady. Sitting in her chair and going to Radici is fun. It is like a mini vacation. She has that magic touch that I have found to be a very rare gift talent skill. She transforms what could be ordinary into extraordinary by listening very closely. She is able to parlay my wishes into hair that not only meets my needs but delights me as well. I highly recommend her but only go if you want to love your hair and your salon experience. I'm a pretty low maintenance girl when it comes to my hair. I'm busy, and it's naturally straight so I've never done much with it.I've had it long for several year and wanted a change. Went here to get it cut kinda short and not only did they fit me in the day I called but they also did an amazing job on my hair. I took a couple pictures and they pretty much read my mind on what I wanted! It looks so great and it's still low maintenance. I could not be happier. Also they were really reasonable with the price. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! I usually wait to come back to ciao's whenever I'm out of houston/country & in need for a haircut or a hair dye! The place is also pretty cool.. It has an artistic feel to it! I love going to Lauren at Ciao! The atmosphere is cool and laid back, and I always leave loving my hair! I started going to Lauren after I saw someone else's hair that she did. I loved it and hoped she could give me something similar, and she did not disappoint! Chau has cut my hair about six or seven times now. She has a certain effortless finesse with the scissors, and knows how to gauge the cut that will flatter your face shape. I'm extremely fussy with details, such as how the layers naturally fall after air drying, and that it's manageable parted side or middle. Just left the salon and I loved my new cut! I came in and told Lindsey what I wanted. I had long hair and wanted a medium bob. She was extremely helpful as she patiently went over different options and recommendations for my type of hair. It was a drastic change and she wanted me to make sure I knew what it'd be like.
