This made no sense given the number of open tables and the fact that I counted around eight staff members standing around, with only a couple appearing to actually be working. I understand staffing challenges and wait times when a place is busy--but this wasn't that. This felt like a lack of urgency and, frankly, a lack of care. The message we got was: "We're not too concerned whether you eat here or not." That's unacceptable. We left and went across the street to Ted's instead--completely different experience. Now I'll admit--I'm a bit of a pizza snob. For me it always comes down to three things: crust, sauce, and toppings. One of my first checks is whether a place offers anchovies. If they do, that's usually a good sign they take pizza seriously. We discovered they offer a lunch buffet from 11-2, but we arrived around 2:30. That just means we'll be back to try it another time. The setting was very nice, very clean! Large wall television playing a soccer match, and it would be nice for March Madness! There are several games that could be used to occupy the kids. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza with side salads, and the salad bar was a pleasant surprise. Lots of fresh toppings and a great selection. When the pizza arrived on the table stand, the first thing I noticed was the generous amount of pepperoni. No skimping here. The crust was a little thicker than my personal preference, but it still had good flavor, balanced tomato sauce, and a satisfying cheese pull. We probably over-ordered with the large, but leftover pizza the next day is never a bad thing. Also want to recognize Rian, who was running the register and helping guests. I don't care for their wings though. My disappointment mostly lies with the games. In that time, the games have changed a lot. The ticket payouts have been drastically reduced and many of the 'skill' games have been replaced with Vegas-style games of chance. It costs $31 for one hour of play and the machines won't let you play quickly. Even when the game you're playing is over in a couple seconds, you've got to wait for an arbitrary period of time before the machine will let you play again. So, today with 3 kids playing for an hour ($93 cost), their total 'winnings' wouldn't even buy 3 little bags of cotton candy. The new trampoline area is a positive addition. The younger kids really like it.
