I had the McDougall vegetarian burrito grande with black beans, rice, and lettuce in a whole grain tortilla and it was delightful!!! The ingredients were so fresh, tasty, and healthy, that upon finishing it, I did not have a heavy feeling at the pit of my stomach but instead, my stomach felt comfortable and I felt nourished. I love how they serve the meals with tortilla chips and the best salsa, which is mild (you can add your own hot sauce), fresh, and made of tomato chunks! I noticed that the chips with this vegan meal were not greasy but light and crispy! The staff are very nice and prices are reasonable, though be aware that there is now a "service fee", which I think is for the staff's benefits. I went in at 10:30 am with a friend for breakfast. I love good Benedict and noticed a crab benedict on the menu for $18. But there was no way that they could serve real crab for $18. So I asked Ramon, an owner and waiter, and he assured me that it was, in fact, local dungenous crab. So we ordered two with hash browns. It was FABULOUS! I ordered Chris's breakfast burrito which consists of cheese, eggs, guacamole, and zucchini. The burrito really lacked any flavor at all, I used the salsa on the side for chips to help. The guacamole in it tasted like it was the prepackaged type (very watery and dark in color/oxidized), zucchini was soggy, and eggs were basically a very dry omelette cut up (no flavor or seasoning). The salsa was extremely salty and the extra one I asked for (habanero) also very salty. I think with real avocado, some seasoning, and switching the zucchini for something less soggy (bell peppers) could help. This is very far from authentic. Service however was good and the host was friendly. read more

Although we went in and there was only one other table occupied, folks were coming in to pick up the entire duration of our lunch there. The restaurant was clean and our service was great. I had the chicken enchilada plate that was authentic and full of flavor. I'm a bit of a salsa snob and thoroughly enjoyed the salsa verde. The pico del gallo was super fresh and rich in color. Their takeout is pretty good, nothing special but it's not bad. Going into the restaurant however is completely different, the burrito was so hard to hold because all the ingredients kept slipping out the super loosely wrapped tortilla, probably could've been fixed with some tinfoil. The burrito itself was lukewarm at best, half of it had cold spots and the cheese was barely melted. The restaurant was baking hot when it was only about 70 out, and the waiters were alright. The iced was so-so but the sprite tasted like sprite which is what you want in a sprite. The tables were unbelievably sticky on the base and on the underside of the top, my pants brushed up against the bottom when I was moving my legs and I still have a sticky spot on them hours later, and my shoes kept sticking to visibly sticky spots on the base of the table. There's no good spot to sit if you're in a wheelchair, but I had an easy enough time moving around as someone with mobility issues. read more

Let me start by saying I have gone on a full blown burrito tour in Rincon Valley, in search for the dankest one within a ten minute radius of my house. Su Casa's Pedro burrito is something else. It's shrimp and steak, and has all the fixings. Something about this burrito hits different from all the rest. The meat is fresh and plentiful, making the value of the burrito worth it. They don't skimp and they make sure all ingredients are proportionate. I'm not sure what it is, but the seasoning is unique and tastes GOOD. I have to tell myself not to eat the whole thing. I've been going to Su Casa for several years. Jose runs a great restaurant with incredible food, one of my favorite dishes is the Brian's omelet! I can pull up outside on my bike and get service without the worry of having it stolen. It's dog friendly as well, and they will provide a fresh bowl of water for your dog.
