Totally authentic Mexican food. They even make the guacamole right in front of you. The food is delicious too!

Food was delicious! Fresh and tasty. Server was super nice. The music was hell. Blaring dance music at lunch. I couldn't wait to leave, unfortunately. Would have liked to have an after dinner drink but couldn't hear ourselves talk. Also only high stool seating even at the tables. Difficult for short people or seniors. A fantastic addition to the local food scene. As the bartender said, they wanted to offer something other than subs and pizza and what they have done accomplishes that and more. It is clean, new, the food is very good and the staff is working really hard to make this place be great. The table side guacamole is excellent. Tacos are very good as are the various quesadillas people in my party had. As a new place they have wrinkles: enchiladas a bit bland and saucy, blood orange margarita on the weak side and it's annoying that you can't mix and match tacos. But the good far outweighs the bad here. This place has many cheering it on - I look forward to returning and seeing if it's earned 5 stars! read more

Mexican in Bristol, NH - are you kidding me? That's what I said, then we went and I was very happily surprised. Really great job of decorating this building and creating a great environment to enjoy the closest thing to authentic Mexican food for many miles. I've been there twice now and while the food was fantastic (and authentic) and the staff friendly, I probably won't go back. The music was much too loud the first time and nearly unbearable the second not to mention it was filled with strong profanity. It was like trying to eat in the middle of a rave party (I guess I'm getting old). Had I not been there celebrating my son's graduation, I would have asked for a doggie bag and taken my meal home. Again, the food was delicious both times (neat interior too), and this restaurant will probably do well because the music and profanity likely isn't an issue for most, but I have no desire to drop $100+ on a meal in which I can't hold a conversation with the people I'm eating with much less having to listen to a fair amount of swearing, etc., in the lyrics. I would have been mortified had I invited friends with young children. Lower the volume and put on some authentic Mexican music and I'd give it five stars as well. read more

I find myself thinking about that California burrito way too often, and the table side guac is better than anywhere I have had in the Boston area. We started frequenting this little spot this past summer. This is a hidden gem in my town. Food is the closest to authentic Mexican in this area, atmosphere is fun and modern. Tableside guacamole is amazing. Service can be a bit slow at times, but well worth it. read more

If you want an entire day event getting a quesadilla this is the place for you. Waitress wasn't even nice about how long it took and she brought the wrong order when we finally received the food. After only our first experience here I'd have to say that I have zero to complain about. My wife and I came in with our 5 year old and we were seated immediately and were attended to right away. It wasn't super busy but it wasn't dead either. Our server, Cruz, was incredibly friendly and professional. Our food was not too pricey and the portions are big enough to fill your belly. We forgot to order an app but complimentary chips and salsa are provided and are yummy. My wife got veggie chimichangas and I got a California burrito. We both cleared our plates and were not dissatisfied. My son got a beef burrito off the kids menu which was made with steak. He also devoured it. We were on the road and passing through the area and saw Cielito on the GPS. We decided to take a risk and were so delighted with the outcome. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful with a modern rustic feel. Cruz was our server along with Sonia and they were both excellent. Should we pass by the town again, we will be coming back. I was hesitant to try Mexican food in this small town so far from the border, but I'm glad I did. This is authentic Mexican food. The chips were warm, the salsa nice and fresh, and the guacamole was made fresh at the table! They have a nice tequila selection, variety of different margaritas and Mexican beer. Love this place! Willie and his staff are exceptionally friendly. Have felt like a welcomed friend whenever I stop in. I've tried the Carne Asada, the Chimichangas, the Enchiladas, some mole thing, the Shrimp Diavala, and about a dozen different margaritas. I'd give a "6" if I could; this place was really (REALLY!) that good. Drove up on Friday night around 6:30PM to find a packed parking lot; and after eating, we understood why. El Jimador in Laconia used to be our "go to" for Mexican, and they'll still get our business, but it will be hard to stop there knowing that Cielito is just another 30 minutes up the road. As other reviewers have noted, the food is authentic Mexican, and every item we sampled seemed about as good as it could get. I had the Cochinita Pibil, which is "slowly cooked pork in achiote marinade," served with black refried beans and rice. Sounds like fairly standard Mexican fare, but it was anything but. A good-sized portion of shredded pork was mixed with a beefy-tasting red sauce, and the black refried beans were served in a small, molded tortilla with a sprinkle of cheese on top (feta?) next to some Spanish/yellow rice. Three thin corn tortillas were served alongside, which tasted so fresh, so extremely "corny" and so authentic that they had to have been made just minutes before. With every bite I kept muttering, "I can't believe how good this is!" Again, and again, and again. You get the picture. Although I was eating pork, I kept thinking this (restaurant) is a "horse of different color." It was just that much better than any Mexican food I'd eaten in a long, long time. [Sorry Jimador; but we still like you. :-( ]. The black refried beans (note: black, not pinto) were also a cut above, and complemented the pork and rice perfectly. If that wasn't enough, there were those tortillas. Usually I'll eat one, bring the others home, and end up tossing them. But these were way too good for that. Ok, I brought one home, but only to ensure that my second/next day helping (yes, there were leftovers) would taste exactly the same, which it did. So far it probably sounds pretty good. But wait, there's more! My wife ordered the chicken chimichangas (there were two), which were filled with shredded marinated chicken plus those excellent black refried beans, then topped with "queso dip y crema fresca" - a slightly spicy, light cream sauce. Tasted very different than mine, but just as good. And, finally, there was their hot sauce. When we asked the waiter for more salsa, he asked if we'd like to also try their hot sauce. Well, uh...yeah! And it did not disappoint. (They should offer that to everyone, right up front.). It added that little extra to our already great tasting meals, so much so that I scraped every little bit into my take-home box, to again ensure that I could recreate the taste the next day. We're very pleased with the food and service. We were there for dinner the first night they opened and look forward to visiting every year when we go to Laconia. It is one of the highlights of the trip and we can honestly say the place is friendly, authentic, and relaxed. When they came to Bristol they set a great example for the other restaurants in the area. A little competition from them has been very beneficial to everyone. Went there a week ago. Food. drinks were GREAT. Service was good. Their mole sauce is to die for! So, why only four stars? The problem was AFTER we left. My fried had finished as much as she could eat and requested a "to go" box. Was brought with no problem, as I continued eating. I had enough and wanted to save some to enjoy later, so I too requested a "to go" box, which was also brought with no issues. Les then TWO miles down the road, she announced she had forgotten our "to go" meals. I immediately turned around and returned to the restaurant. Our "to go" feast had already been trashed! There was ZERO effort made to keep the customer happy. I will mention that, for two people, the bill (including tip) was 80$! I had been SO impressed, I tipped in excess of 20% (always wanting to help servers!). Unfortunately, in spite of the excellent food, this left a rather bad taste in my mouth. I'll be honest, when my boyfriend and I saw the "Coming Soon" sign during the winter for a Mexican restaurant in Bristol we were laughing uncontrollably, however this past weekend we went up for a mini vaca and this place was amazing. We went around dinner time after a long day of bike riding/adventuring, so we were hungry and thirsty for some margaritas. The place was packed, but we were able to sit at the bar. Our bartender was genuine, social, and awesome. First, I ordered the Blood Orange margarita, and it was delicious, I tried a sip of my boyfriend's Yucatan and it was so incredible that I had about 4 more or so, who knows. We started off with the wicked spicy chicken wings. Took a little bit for them to come out, but we were having fun so we didn't care. It was so spicy, my lips starting burning, but I'm into food being that spicy so it was perfect. For our main meals we both ordered the Azada with flour tortillas. The steak was extremely well seasoned, and the rice was also tasty. Afterwards, we were stuffed, and absolutely satisfied with this place. I can't wait to go here again before the summer ends, and try their outdoor seating. Definitely come to this place when you visit. read more

We're always looking for a place to eat on the way from Sunapee/New London on the way to Meredith. That's a pretty barren stretch of highway when it comes to food, so Cielto looked to be a go-to place. My wife and I ate at Cielto last night on the recommendation of a friend. Nice staff, albeit a bit slow and while the food was tasty (my wife had the vegetarian enchiladas, I had the enchiladas mole poblano), my complaint was the temperature of the food. My enchiladas were barely room temperature- the side of black beans was warm(ish), the rice not even that, and the enchiladas themselves were COLD at the ends, barely warm in the middle. I'd give Cielto four or five stars if the food was properly heated (and the servies at the end- getting the check and paying) was quite slow. We'll go back again as it had potential- admittedly it was (surprisingly) crowded for a Thursday early evening- and I'd hate to write it off. read more

This was our second visit..the first was amazing. Tonight was ok..first off the food was fantastic. Although not near as busy as our first visit..we had a short wait..had a drink at the bar. I went to pick up the glass and it slipped out my hand. I maybe had one sip. They then still charged us 9.00 and did not offer another. Once seated ordered another drink. That took about 20 minutes. Actually got our food before our drinks which we had ordered before. The service was slow and not near as good. Maybe just an off night I hope. read more

This is the best Mexican food you'll find in the region. It's completely authentic and flavor-filled. The black beans served with every meal are even better than those I have had in South America much less Texas, New Mexico, and California. I would highly recommend the chimichangas or any of the enchiladas. If you're looking for a drink, look no further than the house margarita.
