Stopped here in between my kids soccer games close by. We wanted some authentic Mexican food & they did not disappoint! The staff were very welcoming and the service was great. We were greeted right away and our waiter was very attentive throughout our meal. The food was very good and the portion sizes were great! Out of everything we ordered the steak quesadillas were my favorite. The facility was very clean and they had a wide selection of food on their menu. The waiter we had asked us if we wanted any salsa with our food- we said yes (of course) and when we got the bill we noticed they charged us $5 for the side side of salsa without any mention of that up front That would have to be my only complaint though- everything else was great- food, service, location & ambiance

We got hungry and craving for Mexican food and we found this place on Yelp with promising reviews. The reviews were totally on time! There used to be a few cemita places in the city but all got shut down. I'm glad to find another one in Schaumburg. Service was amazing and attentive and it's very comfortable inside. It's definitely a hidden gem. We'll be back and will bring our family next time!

*** Carry out review *** Oh wowww the tacos from here are sooo good! I ordered via their website for pick up and the process was easy and straight forward. I was then provided an estimated ready time. The time they provided was accurate and my food was ready to be devoured once I got to the restaurant! I tried the chicken, Al pastor and steak tacos with cilantro, onion and lime. If you're looking for the more Americanized option (lettuce, tomato, cheese) there is an upgrade for that. My favorite was the steak - it's marinated well and very flavorful. The al pastor was also very delicious. Both of em were cooked perfectly, very juicy and delicious! I didn't love the chicken and will pass on them next time. I thought it was on the dry side. Cielo is my new favorite taco spot in this area, 5 stars all the way!

The food here is excellent, breakfast and lunch. This is our new go to for Mexican food. They have beer and cocktails, which is a bonus. They could use some help with the cocktails. We tried a mimosa one time for breakfast and it was more like a tequila sunrise. Then for dinner we had a margarita and it was very sweet. Fresh juices and good tequila would make a huge difference instead of mixes. Service is always good. Ambiance is welcoming. I recommend this place.

Had a taste for tacos, searched Yelp for nearby restaurants and Cielo popped up. Ordered steak and shrimp tacos. Great taste, was not disappointed. Also ordered a couple of Micheladas, the first one was Great, so i ordered another. The second was a bit bland. Overall, will definitely return next time in Schaumburg

Had a late lunch here on Cinco De Mayo. The portions were large and quality was great. Service was also good. I will recommend this restaurant and will likely return for another good meal.

You can seat yourself to any empty table that is available. My friend and I ordered 3 tacos each. I got the Mexican style with no cilantro (steak, pork, and shrimp) and my friend got American style (steak, shrimp, and chorizo). The tacos were fulfilling and delicious. I personally liked the shrimp and my friend liked the chorizo the best. If you live closed by or in the neighborhood, good place to grab some Mexican food.

My pregnant wife had a taco craving when we were heading to the Schaumburg mall and found this place. Wow! Big fans. The steak tacos are phenomenal. Everything tastes authentic, and is of great quality. We will be back! Also, it's family owned!

Grilled chicken avocado wrap.

Amazing restaurant! Great food, service, and atmosphere. You can tell that every ingredient is fresh and made to order. The chicken avocado wrap was delicious! I highly recommend going!!!! I'll be back soon!

Excellent Chili Relleno! Huge portion. Taking half home. Super cute atmosphere. This place is the real deal. Can't wait to eat my left overs.

Interesting little Mexican grill in the middle of a strip mall in Schaumburg. Very high quality food and ambience. The grill is right there so you can see your food being prepared fresh. Had the quessabirria special of day and skillet, both were yummy

You don't have to go to Mexico for authentic Mexican food. Save your air fare and just start here! Located in a modest strip mall but next to a Polish Deli, this place is well worth the effort. You will be greeted warmly by today's host(ess) and led to your linen tablecloth clad table. (when we come they would be wise to substitute paper) The menu is graced with authentic Mexican fare that is freshly made and served hot. We have had their burritos, taco platter and the to die for corn soup. Too much--ask for half servings. The margaritas despite being "machine made" are served in a larger than life glass--rimed with salt. The chips and the dipping salsa are fantastic. They buy the chips and cook them on premises and are served warm. Ask for an order to take home, you will not regret it. If you like extra spice, ask your server. They will be happy to "customize" your order. See...you saved the airfare and got margaritas and great food.

Our waitress was very nice and did her best. I requested pico on the side so I could give it to my cousin, but one of my dishes still came with tomatoes, which I'm allergic to. By the time our waitress made it back to our table, my food was no longer hot, and we were ready to leave, so I didn't mention it. On the positive side, the drinks were good, there's plenty of parking, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Since nobody came to help us, we decided to move to the bar. While we were served quickly at the bar, what we saw next completely ruined our night. There were fruit flies everywhere--flying around and inside the cups of fresh fruit used for the margaritas, as well as all over the Tajin and salt used to rim the glasses. We were so disgusted we couldn't even finish our drinks. To make matters worse, when the bartender went to clean the area, a swarm of about 20 fruit flies scattered. This is a massive sanitation and safety issue. We've never had a bad experience here before, but after what we saw today, we absolutely will not be returning.

I was torn between a chicken mole dinner or just good old tacos. I opted for the tacos Al pastor with rice and beans. I have had Al pastor at many, many places, and it's been interesting to see people's takes on the recipes. These were, hands down, the best I've had anywhere. The meat was charred nicely, yet tender. The marinade/sauce had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the pineapple and the counterbalance of the lime, cilantro, and onion. I was so proud of my selection, that I ordered some to-go for my daughter to try. I also had a delicious strawberry margarita and finished off with a tres leches dessert. Everything was superb! I'll be back for that mole someday, and will also try their Taco Tuesday. Judging from my food, as well as the presentations of others choices that I noticed, I believe their chef is seriously talented and creative.

It was a little confusing initially because there's a walk up register to order, so I thought I'd order up there when I was ready, but when I sat down to wait for a friend, I got waited on. So I guess both things are true. You get free chips and salsa at the table, which is always great, and I want to give a shoutout to having additional salsas in squeezable bottles at the table you can add to your liking to your food. You know how sometimes meats can be a bit bland. Not here. They really nail the taste and tenderness and the people working there, Just lovely. The waiter and the lady at the register were both super friendly and welcoming, which always makes for a great experience. Okay, onto the specifics, I started with a burrito de asada, and seriously, it was perfect. It was put together so nicely, packed full, and they even included rice inside, which was a delicious surprise. Super satisfying and felt like great value for the price. Then I branched out and tried a couple of their gorditas one with steak and another with chorizo. Again, both meats were incredibly tasty and really well prepared. Now, a little heads up, their gorditas are a bit unique. Instead of the usual pouch you stuff, they cut the entire top off, so it's more like an open faced sandwich. It was different, but honestly, it was still super delicious and easy to eat. We also shared a taco dinner, and those were fantastic too. The prices overall are really reasonable, especially for the quality you're getting. Oh, and you absolutely must try their horchata, it's seriously good and so refreshing. The place itself is pretty chill. They have a TV on, and it was generally quiet, which is nice for a relaxed meal. It's not a huge spot, with a few tables and booths, but what really caught my eye was how many people were coming in for takeout orders. That's always a good sign that it's a popular local favorite. Honestly, if you're ever looking for a top notch taco shop nearby, this one is probably one of the best I've encountered. You definitely won't be disappointed.

I gotta say, we've been in Schaumburg but haven't yet tried all the restaurants in the area (god…read moreknows we've been working on it!). So, one fine day I was picking up some dry cleaning down Roselle, and as I turned onto Schaumburg Rd to head home, I saw this place- remembered I was hungry- and promptly turned in! I got there just before 5pm, and was - by all accounts - their first customer of the night! I asked to sit on the patio, and (because I had to ask) checked to see if the patio was dog-friendly - it is! Hmm. Gotta bring puppy next time! The young lady sat me down, brought over a drinks menu and a food menu, and I promptly ordered a Cadillac Cocktail! Oh my! It was BIG- and GOOD. Damn! Highly recommended! A bowl of warm chips and salsa came right on it - on the house- and I began munching away while I pondered the menu. So - I decided on the Enchiladas Suizas with verde sauce! Oh - and with a choice of meat (I chose ground beef, but pollo was also on the board too!). As I was slowly drinking the Cadillac and munching on the chips, I gotta say I liked the THICK chips and the salsa had a nice little kick to it. If that's what you like? You'll LIKE it! My enchiladas suizas came out piping hot a short time later, and I began munchin' 'em down! VERY nice! If you like friendly, prompt service AND good food and drink? HIGHLY recommend you stop on it!

I had the al pastor tacos, which had just the right touch of pineapple and were absolutely amazing. The rice and beans were excellent too. They also have a beautiful patio that would be a perfect place to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the music. It was incredibly loud--constant booming house music that made it difficult to have a conversation. We politely asked if the volume could be turned down, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy, but were told it was for all the customers and they wouldn't adjust it. It's a shame because the food is so good, but the atmosphere made it hard to enjoy. I can't help but wonder if the loud music has driven away other customers as well. If they toned down the music, this would easily be one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!
